Amazing work!!! My nail tech perfectly copied the picture I showed & even enhanced on the design to make it look better! First three photos are my nails, and the last l is the Pinterest example I showed. The price is a bit higher than what I'm used to for nails, but I typically don't do designs. This was a #treatyourself moment that was more than worth it, with all the time and detail they put into their work. I only get pedicures to remove my ingrown nails and i left with bleeding toes for attempts to remove but they were just pushed down deeper. What a waste read more

At first.....Couldn't locate them on Yelp but I walked in positively. First note: There's a one dollar surcharge if you're paying with a card. The salon appeared full but I was immediately assigned to "Laura". Her cleaning technique was great! She's friendly but not that "in ya face" type of friendly. She's a professional. She took her time and cleaned my toes well. Twice she tried to upsell different services but she didn't force the issue when I responded with a "not this time". Her amazing massage was so long I was confused, "am I to pay extra for this?" Even sans massage I like Laura, I really do. Her polish application wasn't the best. She really tried but failed (see pic, then zoooooom in). It looked like I did it myself. Aesthetically the salon could do with a bit of sprucing but they paid attention to hygiene. Fresh plastic was used in the tubs for each new client so I'm not too bothered about trays and magazines not being neat and all the crap I usually take note of. My gorsh! I just had an "aha moment" I'm growing up!!!!! All the interaction I had with staff from reception to goodbye was good. My experience overall though not a five was pleasant. I wanted to add to my review now that salons are open again after lockdown. During that time away Poppin Nails did some upgrades to the shop to ensure safety, plexiglass between each nail tech and customer, as well as plastic between clients. Yen primarily does my nails and I love her work! I never have to wait (granted I got right when they open during the week) I love getting my nails done here, everyone is happy and friendly, it's clean and the prices are very fair. read more

I have been going to KK's place of business for 10+ years, when he worked on Fulton. For the past 2-3 years Lex and his sister have been doing my nails and let me tell you!!!!! Amazing work. My SNS nails last more than 2 weeks if I need them to. Great nail techs. Just ask then what you want or show them a picture, if they can't do it they'll accommodate you and show you what they can do. Lex does my moms nails too, and my besties, and my aunts. The decor can use an update but I go for the amazing work Lex and his sister do. Im kind of surprised with all these negative reviews. Ivy had my gel nails and eyebrows done in about 45 mins! I was astounded because every other nail salon I've been to takes at LEAST a hour and it's a full on BORING hour as I am forced to have my nails tortured and manipulated and cant do anything else but stare into space since my hands are occupied. Who wants to spend their day off AND vacation at the nail salon? Who. When I walked in the cuticle agents didnt look too pleased but I dont blame them for that, who is excited about doing a potential pedicure? Anyway Ivy quickly sat me down and I was struck by her perfect English and how personable she was. She pointed out to me my nail damage and took the time to carefully explain how that could've happened which made me feel like she cared. As we made polite chit chat about the changing neighborhood and the cost of living in Brooklyn I was in shock at how quickly she was doing my nails, a rate I hadn't experienced before. They almost had 5 stars until... They 'tried" to run my card and after the first decline, I called the bank and was told that there wasn't an attempt. Tried again and another decline. They kept pushing me to the ATM they have in the place. I HATE THOSE MACHINES!!! I've had fraud because of them but I had no choice. Guess what? No problem getting cash from it. They must think we're stupid. They want to be an all cash business. We know why don't we?? Just say you don't take cards. Then I would have taken my business elsewhere. But they lied. I came for the cheap price ($25 for acrylics) and left unsatisfied with the quality of the service. Terrible job. I went in for SnS and requested a certain color. The color the tech used was not what I requested. Instead of finding the right color she told me "the color would become darker with more coats." That was false but I'll take the blame because I believed her and let her continue. After she finished my set, my nails looked so awful. The weren't smooth and it looked like a very rushed job. So poor that another tech had to go in and fix her work. The so called "fixed job" started to chip literally the next day. I paid $40 and my nails look like they've been worn for 2+ weeks... after two days. After having a very bad week I wanted to treat myself with some feet care...so I came in for a basic pedicure... she starts working on my feet by using the drill... she never cut my nails, never filed my nails... didn't work on my cuticles at all... she just used the drill for a few seconds and then put some oil on my feet and then started with a very bad color job... she then took me to the dryers so I started checking out the paint job!!! It was bad... she came over with the check and I asked her to try to fix one of my nails because it was way too bad... all she did was to put more paint on top of the top coat!! She couldn't just remove it and do it again... the overall rip off took like 5 minutes...and then I was charged for a 5 minute crappy job $20 ... in the meantime she kept asking me about doing my hands as well!!! Never going back and hopefully I won't get nail/ feet fungus or even COVID since the place was filthy and unsanitary and a lot of their customers were wearing the masks on their chin and not their mouth!and as a tipped worker myself sorry for not tipping but the tip is something that you earn! And my $20 oversee that as well!!! Better go to a place that charged $35 for a pedi and the experience is decent! In those times it's good not be ripping off people... if you wanna have a business! Also you can do a better job with cleaning your équipement and tools you use!!! The tools were taken out of filthy basket and they were not sanitized before using it on a customer!!! Bad bad bad! lmao my nails look terrible i asked them to keep them the same length, they filed them shorter. i got sns powder gel and 2 of my nails are badly misshaped and 1 is cracking while chipping. they charge a whopping $40 for powder gel and i cannot imagine why. this is just a joke. read more

This shop is convenient to my apartment which is why I come here. It's nothing fancy but they get the job done. The staff is friendly and they have SNS (powder dip) which most salons don't carry. Les is my favorite nail tech. He doesn't rush and is always pleasant! He is thorough and whenever he does my nails I always leave pleased! I highly recommend his work! read more

kind of a long post Alert: i have been going to the same nail salon for over 10 years! as normal we created a customer relationship! in the pictures you will see i have a gel manicure with muticolor tips. ive been rocking this look the entire summer. of course i go every two weeks to get a fresh mani. i have complain to @poppingnail maybe 3 times that my gel lifts . they tell me to come in so they can fix it. not all the time that fits in my Schedule. i just wait it out and go get a new mani. i pay over $50 for a mani and pedi every two weeks. never a discount. i just i got my nails done thursday that just past and like before it lifted and chipped. i reached out to them to ask then to redo my nails this is how the conversation went. next post...... i posted them on social media and they blocked me DON'T waste your time and money‍ read more
