I did dip powder nails. The nail job is done ok but not great. The nail is uneven and one side is higher than one side.

Went on sunday w my partner around 6. I felt hey rushed us, put the polish on really thick, and when they plastic wrapped our feet this is what happened to my toe immediately.

my fingers after I took off the nails, the brown spots are fungus

I have come here a few times and gotten great manicures, but my most recent experience getting dip nails I noticed them lifting after about two weeks () and so I cut/peeled them off only to find FUNGUS. It's been a couple of months and I'm still cutting my nails down to the nub, doing antifungal treatments and waiting for the last of the fungus to grow out and I can't get my nails done or grow them out or even paint them, and I'm still mad about it because I had long healthy nails before this and had never had this happen at any other salons I've tried in Brooklyn or anywhere. My nails are ruined and I will NEVER be going back.

This is the worse nail job I have ever recieved. She did not cut my cuticules and the Dip did not cover all my nails.

This is the most terrible place I have ever been. My nails are uneven, painted wrong and filed wrong.

For $12, because I used the OPI Shine2 lacquer. It's okay

Solid 3.5 stars for how close this is to my work and for the ease of finding a spot! I really was hoping to see about other nail salons closer to work for a quick lunch break manicure, and decided with the high reviews, let's give Spa Ella a whirl! I called ahead to make a 1PM appointment this afternoon with Ella herself, but she wouldn't fit me in until 2:30PM. I was reluctant then to continue to book the appointment, but I did anyway. I was taken immediately with a younger Asian girl. She was really attentive and gave awesome care to my nail shape and my cuticles haven't been this clean in a LONG time, but the polish job was a bit meh. The outer edged around the nail are not cleanly cut and look amateur. I almost feel like I shouldn't of given the tip BEFORE finishing my nails. From far away, my nails look great, but upon closer inspection, this was a little sloppy. Oh - and they are little cutie pies that they fail to tell you that some colors on the wall will cost you $2 more because "they dry faster and last longer." I guess that was the case for my pink OPI Shine2 lacquer. I did appreciate that they spray dried my nails twice. Overall, the experience was okay for a quick manicure, but I would try some place else that will be a little bit more careful with your nail polish job.

    Dipping powder on acrylic tips!

I gotta say, I've been into a lot of small nail salons with mixed results and this place is the real deal. I got a lot of attention to make sure my dip powder on tips was done beautifully. The salon owner was very present and engaged, and loved meeting her family. Will be back when I'm in Brooklyn again. Also--wow affordable!

    Lovely manicure with Essie polish!

Hadn't been to Spa Ella in a while so I stopped in for a gel mani and pedicure. The pedicure was lovely! The gel manicure is awful. I kept telling the woman to take her time and allow my nails to dry properly. I also requested another top coat. And she's like it will be fine. Now I'm on vacation with chipped nails. Mind you I just got them done yesterday! Needless to say, I won't be back again.

    Sns & designs

I love this salon for SNS! They're truly skilled. I usually don't get designs, just plain SNZ nail color but recently I had a design done prior to my 2 week trip trip to Greece. I wanted to be super touristy with my nail design and provided a reference pic for design. They executed the design better than the inspo pic! I got tons of compliments when I went in vacation and my nails lasted for a month - didn't have time to go back prior. Finally went to remove my old color and got something a little more fall appropriate. They have a huge range of SNS shades as well as gel and regular nail polish. Ella is also a pro at threading brows however I believe she's the only one that provides this service. I highly recommend this local spot.

Got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure and it came out to $47 before tip! If you ask me, that's a great deal. Gel manicure was right on par with every good experience I've had elsewhere. The pedicure was good too, but they had a hard time doing a simple ingrown toenail. If you have simple requests and an unproblematic body, this is a great bang for your buck! Make sure you ask for someone who knows how to do nail design ahead of time if that's something you want. ***UPDATE*** After only 4 days my gel manicure started peeling. I'm now on day 7 and I'm in desperate need of a full new manicure. Typically I can keep a gel mani for 2 weeks, so idk what was different here. You get what you pay for!

    Bronté M.

I came in to get my tips removed and for a manicure with no color polish. I was asked to pay after my tips were removed, before the polish and shaping of my nails. Directly after I paid and also leaving a generous tip, she put the top coat on and told me to go to the dryers to dry my hands. The pictures shown are after I paid, before I had my nails dried. My nails aren't even the same shape! Some are rounded and some are square, not to mention all this gunk that was left under my nails and on my fingers. This was my very first visit and I will not be returning. I'm very disappointed and wish I had spent my money at a place that would have been worth it. Even after bringing it to their attention they refused to refund me... Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. They're nice people, but clearly don't care about the quality to money ratio.

My hot pink SNS dip powder

I live on Bushwick and normally get my dip powder done in Manhattan. As I drove by grand street I saw this small nail salon a bit skeptical but in desperation of needing my nails done I walked in with my daughter. I was treating my daughter for an excellent report card and me I had not done my nails in over three weeks ( the disaster) not having googled or yelp this salon I tried them anyway. I was extremely satisfied with my nails and my daughters! I loved the smoothness and the texture of the nails. They were not too tick nor too thin the nail shape was a squoval which looked really nice. The manicurist had to cut down my nails because I removed some on my own and damaged them :( she did a great job in correcting them and not going to short. I will return and redo my nails and try their pedicure! They were very nice and very social.

I'm obsessed with the gel mani I just got from Spa Ella!! My technician was Maggie and she was so meticulous. The spa chairs are comfy and luxurious. Also, the salon is super clean and taking precautions around COVID (i.e. separators, sanitizing the chair after I got up). I'll definitely be coming back!

New favorite nail salon in Williamsburg. I usually get the dip manicure and this salon has the most colors I've ever seen! Wait time isn't usually long if you're a walk-in, they accommodate the best they can. Super clean salon and the prices are great too! My new go to nail salon!

We showed up at the wrong location and they waited for us to essentially start 15 minutes later. I appreciated that. The Williamsburg location was more spacious and seemed newer. The Greenpoint location seemed cozy. My technician was Elena and she was really sweet. The tools seemed to be thoroughly sanitized and the filer seemed to be brand new, which I appreciated. I think the price is around $60 plus an extra $5 on each nail that has a design. Total was probably around $70 not including tip. I tipped Elena $20 because she was so sweet, she was amazing. I wanted something classy but glitzy and chose a pinkish color and a shiny glittery one. At the last minute after the gel mani was almost done, I asked for some designs. I think they didn't have the type of crystals and add ons that I really liked but opted to do two nails with designs anyway. I chose a dry flower design and three crystals. The technician was very patient but I don't think they had the proper tools to pick up the crystals. The tweezers weren't pointy enough to apply the crystals so it took some maneuvering but it finally made it on. It seems like the 3D designs aren't commonly done here. The final result I am decently happy with. We also got a quick hand massage and 5 minute back massage so that was a nice add on. My short stubby nails seemed to be elongated with the way my nails are shaped. I absolutely loved the glittery polish, I should have done all my fingers with this instead of the pink color. The 3D designs are okay, not the best and the flower fell off after 3 days, so I wouldn't recommend doing 3D designs here. My friend had a complaint about the nails and we were able to work with the owner to get her nails redone, so the service is quite good. If you have any issues, I recommend contacting them immediately to see if they can do something for you.

That is a huge plus for me. They made sure you were comfortable. What I loved about this place was they have a Cafe inside. Who doesn't want to sip a chai or cocktail while getting a pedicure? Lol. Their cafe prices were very reasonable. As far as the service, my technician was extremely nice however the service wasn't worth the money at all. I regret getting my nails done because that is something I don't play with. I regret not going to my usual nail salon that is pretty much perfect. I just felt like taking a drive and trying a new spot. I won't return. My nails were mediocre and there was dried gel polish on my skin that I removed in the car. In my opinion, a technician sees your hands and they have a light so to be honest I shouldnt have to correct much, but that's my opinion. My toenails were okay as well. I've had much neater and precise paint jobs on both my gel mani and regular pedicure. It has been four days and I definitely have a some chip polish on my fingernails. Cute decor. Cute area. Parking wasn't bad either. Salon clean and you can choose to have your services done in their garden area or inside. Update: nails didn't even last a week. Was chipped and peeling.

When googling around I saw they had this service listed on their website. I just recently moved to a building two blocks over so I stopped by to make an appointment to have them removed. Everything after that was chaos. They had no idea what I was asking for and treated me like I was doing something shady or weird, when it's a listed service on their website with a price and everything. Halfway through the service, they asked if I also wanted a manicure. I repeated what I told the woman at the front desk: my nails beneath the extensions are too weak and damaged from all the fill ins so I want to let them grow out a bit, but I wanted to have them filed / trimmed / shaped etc once the extensions were off so the would at least look clean. They told me this would cost extra. I gave them some side eye because that should be part of the price but told them that was fine. At the end of the service, the woman told me I was done and could go. I was shocked. My nails were a mess. Not trimmed, not neat, with edges literally cracking and hanging off. They didn't charge me for the clean up service, but I couldn't believe they were going to send me on my way with nails looking how they did, super damaged and ugly. I went home to finish the job myself. Additionally, they treated every other customer who came in way different. Other girls were offered little stools to put their bags on while mine was put on the floor right next to old nail clippings etc. Even if it wasn't for the terrible service, I wouldnt go back for the poor treatment alone. I was treated so strangely for asking for a service that they say, per their website, they offer. Luckily, primp and polish is only a few blocks away. I've been going there ever since. The space is clean and bright, the staff are friendly, and the prices are comparable. I will never return to nail of the day.

It just been many misses the past months. I got this time a gel acrylic tip. I asked for short almond with a yellow French tip design. Everything was just so rushed and unorganized. They had so many people come in and they want to attend all but it's only three females working and all shuffling around each other. Literally all three woman did different things to partake in doing my nails and still they came out so bad. I'm not one to complain because I just feel so uncomfortable having to do so but even if I did I couldn't because they had already started working on 5 other people they said yes to while only being 3 workers working ! So I would've needed to wait even longer to get them fixed. My thumbs were two different shapes. And my nails just looked so bad they shaped them in like 4 minutes all my 10 fingers which I feel takes time but they didn't bc they all rushing and just taking on more than they can so my nails were all just not shaped or buffed out and smoothed out at all. Making the shape look so bad from the sides as you can see. And then the paint job was awful! It was so bulky and looking like waves on my nails which you can see in the pictures and especially on the sides how bad it all looks. I left so sad and defeated because I paid $60 for this job and left a tip to make it $70! Just to come home and remove it all. Then the past months I get a gel manicure on my nails very simple manicure of just gel and they start chipping within 5 days never did it use to do that but three times I've gone and that's what I ended up with so it's time for me to just not come here anymore they gone so downhill
