We made a reservation for three to do our Lush gel manis at the greenpoint location on a Sunday afternoon. We showed up at the wrong location and they waited for us to essentially start 15 minutes later. I appreciated that. The Williamsburg location was more spacious and seemed newer. The Greenpoint location seemed cozy. My technician was Elena and she was really sweet. The tools seemed to be thoroughly sanitized and the filer seemed to be brand new, which I appreciated. I think the price is around $60 plus an extra $5 on each nail that has a design. Total was probably around $70 not including tip. I tipped Elena $20 because she was so sweet, she was amazing. I wanted something classy but glitzy and chose a pinkish color and a shiny glittery one. At the last minute after the gel mani was almost done, I asked for some designs. I think they didn't have the type of crystals and add ons that I really liked but opted to do two nails with designs anyway. I chose a dry flower design and three crystals. The technician was very patient but I don't think they had the proper tools to pick up the crystals. The tweezers weren't pointy enough to apply the crystals so it took some maneuvering but it finally made it on. It seems like the 3D designs aren't commonly done here. The final result I am decently happy with. We also got a quick hand massage and 5 minute back massage so that was a nice add on. My short stubby nails seemed to be elongated with the way my nails are shaped. I absolutely loved the glittery polish, I should have done all my fingers with this instead of the pink color. The 3D designs are okay, not the best and the flower fell off after 3 days, so I wouldn't recommend doing 3D designs here. My friend had a complaint about the nails and we were able to work with the owner to get her nails redone, so the service is quite good. If you have any issues, I recommend contacting them immediately to see if they can do something for you. read more

I found Lili and Cata via Google because I wanted a dry pedicure. I was able to get an appointment on the same day so I was grateful. The staff was very nice and friendly. That is a huge plus for me. They made sure you were comfortable. What I loved about this place was they have a Cafe inside. Who doesn't want to sip a chai or cocktail while getting a pedicure? Lol. Their cafe prices were very reasonable. As far as the service, my technician was extremely nice however the service wasn't worth the money at all. I regret getting my nails done because that is something I don't play with. I regret not going to my usual nail salon that is pretty much perfect. I just felt like taking a drive and trying a new spot. I won't return. My nails were mediocre and there was dried gel polish on my skin that I removed in the car. In my opinion, a technician sees your hands and they have a light so to be honest I shouldnt have to correct much,but that's my opinion. My toenails were okay as well. I've had much neater and precise paint jobs on both my gel mani and regular pedicure. It has been four days and I definitely have a some chip polish on my fingernails. Cute decor. Cute area. Parking wasn't bad either. Salon clean and you can choose to have your services done in their garden area or inside. Update: nails didn't even last a week. Was chipped and peeling. read more

Absolutely perfect mani pedi. And whole staff was extremely nice! This place rocks and they even have a cafe and will serve you drinks as you get your spa treatment. Win win. One note - takes 2 full hours for a mani pedi so just make sure you aren't in a hurry when you go! read more

Rigid policy - if you are late even if you call and let them know , they are not flexible . They will modify your service i.e no polish etc or dr a service or charge you . Yet the policy is not reciprocal - they can be running late and ask you to wait - That's not a problem - if you live in. NYC and unforeseen things happen like traffic , do not go to this salon - they are not customer oriented or any way accommodating . read more

BEWARE-. I've been a loyal customer (even had my whole wedding party come here) for YEARS. Recently I had a terrible experience, wherein my gel manicure barely lasted a week. I let them know and got no response (despite their promise). I now understand why all my friends in the area go elsewhere and why no one is ever there. Also their nail art is horrendous. read more

I came here last week for the first time as it's in my neighborhood and I've passed by numerous times. I was able to make an appointment online and it was a fairly simple process. When you step inside the salon, there's a cute cafe to the left of entry way. I got there a few minutes early and was able to take my time picking out my polish colors. They have lots of beautiful non-toxic nail polish colors to choose from. My manicure and pedicure was very relaxing and Cathy did a great job. I will definitely come back again! read more

LOVE! We just moved over here from Williamsburg and I'm so happy to have found my new regular spot. The owner checked on me a few times during my pedicure to make sure I was happy and things were going well which shows she cares. I love the movement of non toxic nail salons but often find a shortage of color options, not here! There was a huge color selection! My pedicure was super comfortable and relaxing. It was also pouring today and they didn't rush me out to make room for another guest, they let me take my time so my pedicure was dried ful There's also a gorgeous little cafe as you walk in. Will definitely be returning! UPDATE: I wanted to update my review but it remains 5 stars! I got a mani/pedi when they were able to reopen from COVID and I was so happy with my experience. They had every safety measure in place (some I didn't even think of) and they turned their backyard into a legit oasis. I had the BEST pedicure out there it was so relaxing and I can't wait to go back. They didn't rush it despite having to have limited appointments which I was very happy about! I had an appointment today but I felt a slight sore throat all morning and they let me cancel no problem at all which shows they truly care about the safety of clients and staff. My experience was almost comical how bad it was.. I do not fully blame the nail tech as there was a language barrier and she just did what she was 'told' by the manager but I was more shocked and disappointed with how the 'manager' handled my situation. This place came highly recommended to me so I was extremely excited. The moment I sat down I showed the nail tech the first picture that I found on Instagram which is what I wanted. I am not a nail expert but as she was going through the process for my nails I started to get a little worried so I showed her the picture another 3 times through the process. The way she did them did not look like they were turning out that way but again I told myself I've shown her this picture multiple times.. I shouldn't be so dramatic so I let her continue on. To my horror and not much of a surprise I ended up with the second picture of the poorly done French.. the first picture and second are so clearly different my mind was blown. I asked to speak with the manager and when she arrived all she told me was you said French tips.. I specifically remember telling her on the phone that I am not good with nail lingo but that I have a picture of what I want an it's kind of like a French. The person on the phone told me I'll put that down for now and when you come in bring your picture which is exactly what I did. The nail tech and the manager both told me after 2+ hours doing these nails SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THE FIRST PICTURE/ SAME PICTURE I SHOWED THEM MULTIPLE TIMES I was ready to cry out of pure frustration and for how long I was there. I had my best friend's wedding I was leaving for so I did not have much time to go to another place so as they did my pedicure I thought about what to do.. I decided to make it easy and go for a solid color. The nail tech 'redid' the nails but she did a terrible job shaving off the remnants of the mistake which resulted in fatter looking lumpy uneven nails. When you see the last picture they look fine but to the side they were so horrible and lumpy. THIS IS THE KICKER-- the manager tried to charge me for their mistake in addition to what I was already supposed to pay for!! WHY SHOULD I PAY MORE FOR YOUR MISTAKES?! I also heard the manager incorrectly tell the owner what happened and tried to make it sound like it was my fault. This was seriously insane and I was still charged incorrectly.... I was still charged for a French even after I didn't end up with this. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE GETTING A SIMPLE MANI PEDI AND MAKE SURE TO TRIPLE CHECK BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOU I am just so upset about this still and really can't say enough to be careful when they charge you if you do get something done that isn't as simple. This was truly the worst experience I have has and just even more blown away with how inattentive this manager was since customer service is her job and mine was so poor.. if they better managed this situation I would not have written this lengthy review but from how awful they were people should be aware. read more

I hadn't gotten my nails done since pre-pandemic and was feelin like treating myself, so I decided to book Lili and Cata for a couple reasons: - They're one of the only nail salons in the area that have a website, post prices online, and let you book online - Reasonable prices (there are definitely cheaper places, but a lot of them looked less clean or had worse reviews) - Non-Toxic polish - Good reviews It was super easy to book an appointment, and a week later, I can say that I would highly recommend this place and it's definitely on the upper tier of nail places in NYC!! I got the basic gel manicure and regular pedicure, and it came out to $98 before tax + tip. I got my nails done with Jasmin, and she did a great job perfectly shaping my nails + painting. Also was so impressed with my pedicure (not pictured), as my feet were in terrible condition and they look soooo good now! It's been a week and my nails haven't chipped at all. Sometimes when I go to nail salons the paint job is a little messy, and when I do light colors I'm worried about it being streaky or uneven, but this place was really great about meticulously painting, and it looks great! They also give you a little moisturizer and hand/foot massage with the standard mani/pedi which was a nice touch. Everyone there was super nice and I like that there was a cafe attached where you could get something to sip on or eat while you waited. All in all, would definitely recommend, really high quality service and good value IMO, will be coming back soon! read more

My nails started chipping 4 days after I got them done and this is my nails 10 days later. The indoor gel manicure is $47, after taxes $49.12. Yeah that's more than $50 after tips. For the price I'd expect them to last much longer. I've had nails last longer for less. I wanted to like this place bc I live in the neighborhood & didn't wanna go into Manhattan. The place is really cute and seems clean. The person who did my manicure was really gentle and nice. But just totally not worth it. Really disappointed. No, I didn't reach out. Because I shouldn't have to go in for a touch up after 4 days for a $50 gel manicure. A 7 day guarantee is pathetic, but I hope it strays people away. Growth is expected, but chipping after 4 days is not normal. To people from the neighborhood, Sunny at H&Q on Manhattan ave is mostly required by appointment, but does an amazing job. read more

I was in search of an outdoor pedicure and came across Lili and Cata and promptly made my appointment. What a gem! The outdoor space is amazing and honestly I wish it would be offered as long as the weather allows! I was greeted by a friendly woman who took my temperature, had me use hand sanitizer, and helped me pick out my non-toxic polish (no touching the bottles during covid)! Once in the garden my pedicure started and I was shown the drink menu, I love that they have a full coffee bar! My pedicure was amazing, my nail technician paid great attention to detail. Everyone I came into contact with was so lovely and welcoming. It was the perfect re-entry into spa services after a long break due to covid. Highly recommended! read more

The location is great, the place is beautiful it has its on style and service was fine the two ladies that worked on us were very friendly.. but the end result was horrible for the high price that we paid. I came here for an essential gel manicure and lush pedicure. I had been mildly skeptical that a waterless experience would feel as luxurious, but the reasoning made sense. It was just as good, if not better, than a standard mani-pedi. I got mine in the back yard and it was very relaxing. Elena did a great job on my half moon manicure- she really look her time and was very sweet. Everyone was wearing masks, and they took my temp and had me wash my hands upon entry. It was all very responsible and I felt safe. After, I enjoyed a black and white cookie from Brooklyn Whiskers- they have lots of vegan treats and some drinks available. It's a bit more expensive than the typical neighborhood nail salon. For a place that is vegan and non-toxic and provides a more spa-like experience, it's very reasonable and well worth it. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in all of New York City. It's clean, has a great selection of colors, a coffee bar with snacks, and tees, and juices that are really good. everyone who works there is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The staff are so nice! The salon is clean and great playlists. I went for gel mani & pedi. This is my second time going to the salon for a pedi but first for a mani. Great relaxing environment, although I am disappointed with the work done on my nails. They're bumpy and my cuticles were not treated. The mani is sloppy There's a crack in my nail after one day. This is unacceptable for a $80 mani. I spent a total of $186 . It's such a drag to go to the salon to get it fixed when it should've been fine to begin with. I've never had these issue with cheaper salons where the gel mani is $35 . read more

STAY AWAY! I got a mani/pedi Tuesday3/8. It cost well over $80 with tips ($6 tip for mani, $10 to pedi tech) and the morning discount (would be over $100 without the AM discount). The manicurist cut me (see 2nd photo) and was about to cut me again and I yelped for help. She left my nails a mess (see 1st photo) even with a $6 tip. I asked the man who runs the place if someone could please clean the polish off of my skin (see above photo) and he said everyone was busy and commented "You're not coming back right?" I asked if he could remove the polish from my skin and he said he's not a licensed technician... to use nail polish remover. Disrespectful, greedy, and literally the worst possible job for double what other places charge. read more

This was my first time at Lili and Cata and it did not disappoint. From the decor to the staff, everything was perfect. Christy did my nails and they came out perfect. Everyone was so welcoming, plus there's a coffee/wine bar! It's not cheap but definitely worth it. Happy Valentine's Day to myself! read more

I've gone here a couple times and they are always so kind, consistent, and clean! My favorite is the Escape pedicure and manicure Because it comes with a massage. It's my favorite place to go when I need to relax and have a self care day. They have a cute little cafe inside too, so you can have some wine and snacks while you get your nails done. read more

I am absolutely blown away by this salon. Not only because it was my first manicure and pedicure since the pandemic hit. My regular polish manicure looks flawless (no chips) after a week of being rough on my nails. This really is a first for me so the quality of this salon goes unmatched. The experience overall was lovely -- we sat in the backyard and the service was incredible and the delicious coffee was an added bonus. I'm excited to return. read more

Avoid this place. Rude nail technician who did not listen. Ruined my nails. She cut them without asking and filed to uneven lengths and different shapes. You're better of having a five year old do your nails. read more

This place is a magical little oasis. It smelled fantastic, it was so clean, I was greeted the second I walked in, and the nail technicians went above and beyond. This isn't your typical NYC nail salon that rushes to finish your manicure so that they can take the next person. They truly take their time and it feels like they're working on a piece of art. The atmosphere is lovely. The technicians are warm, welcoming, and attentive. The services feel light-ish for the amount you're paying especially with the water-free aspect but they actually execute great paint job. They use vegan non-toxic polishes, the salon is owned by Latina women, and the space really feels like an oasis. It's more expensive than an average spot and everything -- outdoor, polish removal, art, drinks, etc - adds up. This is the perfect place to go for a special occasion, staycation, birthday, or girls' trip. I had a smudge on my nails and they were very courteous, generous in fixing them for me the same day. I am FLOORED. This place is immaculate and the staff is wonderful. I have lived in Greenpoint for 1.5 years now, and am kicking myself I just went here for the first time a few weeks back. Other nail salons in the area don't even come close to the quality and service that this place provides. I'm not an avid yelper, but wow. It's also a plus that they use non-toxic nail polish and are water-free. Absolutely amazing. It's been two weeks since my gel manicure and there's not one chip. I have been to other nail salons in the area where the polish starts to chip after one week. This is my new go-to!!! The price is completely worth it. read more

TLDR; GO HERE, they're wonderful! LOL at Yelp "not recommending" 23 of this salon's 5-star reviews. They must not have given into their aggressive sales approach. ANYWAY - came here out of pure necessity because I got my nails done for my wedding elsewhere and they were NOT GREAT (especially for a $75 manicure!!) I had an appointment to get my brows tinted across the street from this gem the next morning after literally losing sleep all night over how awful my nails were (I know... wedding stress #amirite???) so I decided to come in and see if they could fix my nails before my next appointment. Not only were they so incredibly patient and helpful trying to get me set up while I was stressed out and in a hurry, they also brought me COFFEE while they were fixing my nails. I mean, swoon right? And they turned out sooooo great! I was extremely happy with the result! The price was so reasonable too! I put the poor technician under so much stress because I was rushing to my next appointment, but she was still incredible and did a great job with the nail art, even as I was shaking from caffeine and anxiety. Had an amazing pedicure experience here! It was my first visit and I wanted to find somewhere close to Long Island City and that used non-toxic polish since I am pregnant. A quick ferry ride over was all it took to get here and the shop is beautifully decorated with super comfortable chairs to relax in for your pedicure. Since they use non-toxic polish, it does not smell like a nail salon when you enter and they will be opening a cafe section soon so it will smell like yummy coffee! =) I enjoyed the fact that the pedicure was waterless to save water and I left with my feet still feeling soft and smooth. Olga was my nail tech and she did an amazingly thorough job in helping to make my feet look and feel great for my baby's arrival. THANK YOU! I'll be back again! read more

Hands (ha!) down the best manicure I've ever had. Katty, my manicurist, paid amazing attention to detail and was absolutely fastidious. Made absolutely sure that my nails were perfect and listened very intently when I mentioned that my nails are very brittle and break easily. I've been to a lot of very good salons, but this was the first time I left entirely satisfied. Lili, the owner, was a sweetheart to boot. Not only did she make me feel very welcomed there, but she had no problem with a friend of mine sitting and waiting with me, even though she wasn't seeking services. Lili was very sweet when I mentioned some rough personal things going on in my life, and showed genuine interest and concern, rather than the typical "I'm listening because that's good customer service" vibe one often gets (at no fault of those, people of course; it was just really nice to receive the support). To top it all off, the ethics of the place are great. I know it's not the only cruelty-free game in town, but after going home and looking into their products a little more, I was very pleased by the obviously thoughtful sourcing. I'm really looking forward to them opening up the cafe and bar portion of the place, too. This will make it a truly wonderful experience, and well worth going a bit out of the way for read more

This place is a real gem! I got the Escape Pedicure in a lovely sea foam shade. The music selection is on point (Beach Boys, Elton John, etc.) Everyone I interacted with was very kind/friendly, and prices were reasonable. With a lot of nearby competing salons, this one stands out with its commitment to safe materials. I definitely plan on returning! read more

This place is such an oasis for me. There are so many things i love about it that i don't even know where to start, but I'll try. First... everything is non toxic, and the fact that they do waterless pedicures, makes you feel like you're not only taking better care of yourself but also the environment. The place itself is so relaxing, and they always have good music on. While you're getting your nails done you have the option to order coffee, tea and now liquor from what i hear! I visited Lili & Cata for the first time last week and had an overall amazing experience. First off, the salon itself is stunning and pleasant. There is a full coffee shop upfront, the decor is thoughtful and inviting. The staff was very kind and welcoming. I had a mani/pedi that was phenomenal. My nail tech was meticulous and my nails looked incredible after my visit. This is the perfect place to not only feel relaxed but to get very high-quality service. Such a find...in a cool neighborhood especially since they have vegan and cruelty free products - since I am an animal lover that is important to me - so ty. So come and get a mani and pedi and a glass of wine - right up my alley. Go here!!! I've probably been to every spot in GP/WB for a pedicure and this is by far the best. SO CLEAN! They do waterless pedicures with hot towels and some peppermint/tea tree spray which made our feet cool and tingly. All products used are cruelty free! 100% recommend this spot read more

DISAPPOINTING FROM THE START!!! First here are some much better nail salons. With exceptional service and ambiance in Brooklyn. Element Nail Salon. Honey Nails (many locations in Brooklyn) much better options than Lili & Cata If ambiance is all you care about go here, everything else is horrible. Beyond disgusted with the treatment of the staff.. NO WATER PEDICURE so they do pedicures with no water. They have some reason that seems ridiculous to me. Charge to take of old polish, which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't $12 dollars. A pedicure is upwards of $40. Gel polish upwards of $20. Booking is overly complicated. A 6 step process to book online. You first have to create an account already annoying. Then input your credit card info so they can charge if you cancel. Fine. With all of that you would expect to get a confirmation email right?? Wrong never received a confirmation email. Called to confirm my appointment, they have no appointment for me. And there are totally unwilling to accommodate myself and my friend. Cool. At 11am, I had another friend make an appointment to join us she was accommodated over the phone for a 11:45 appointment on the same day! Ultimately myself and 4 friends were going to get pedicures and all 4 of us had to cancel because of the employees unwillingness to accommodate us. Understandable they are busy cool! To add insult to injury the employee or whoever I spoke with was beyond rude! I made a comment that the nail polish removal seemed overpriced over the phone and she proceeded to follow my comment with "SO WHY ARE YOU COMING HERE" that's not customer service, yes I was frustrated but never raised my voice or used obscene language and for that to be the response i was shocked. When customers are willing to patronize a business that charges a premium for there services, the expectation is exceptional customer service!!! That is what customers are paying for PREMIUM SERVICES WITH ACCOMPANYING EXEMPLARY SERVICE!!! I spoke with this employee on Wednesday 05/02 at approximately 10:30am. Hopefully the owner will train there staff better. If your cool with that then this is the spot for you. read more

My manicure and pedicure came out flawless. Also I didn't realize how important it was to me to use non toxic products until I came here. Could improve the drying station situation because the small fan for my mani didn't really make me feel confident, even though it all turned out great. Love that it's a family business and the owner is really inviting and involved. read more

Our vegan and non-toxic salon is a place to pamper yourself and unwind. We use the healthiest products on the market as well as hygienic techniques that ensure the well-being of our clients as much as our technicians. By employing waterless services, we are rethinking the traditional mani-pedi experience and putting your nails, health, and the environment first. We have also installed a state-of-the-art ventilation system at each manicure and pedicure station to ensure that harmful fumes, dust, and particles are removed from the air. Established in 2019.

Lili and Cata came to fruition because Lilly Rojas, its co-founder, always thought that getting a mani and pedi is one of the very few times of the week where you should be able to relax and enjoy some well deserved "me time". However, she found that most salons were geared mostly towards fulfilling a task rather than a place to unwind. She thought, what better way to mellow out if you are able to socialize with your friends or family over a glass of wine or a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and be able to pamper yourself under the same roof. Lilly also always questioned the industry's practices of using highly toxic products and the unsatisfactory working conditions of many of the technicians.

Meet the Business Owner: Lilly R.

Lilly is a Christine Valmy graduate and a NY State Licensed Nail Specialist herself and knew there could be a healthier and cleaner place for hardworking Nail Techs to feel safe and appreciated. With the assistance of her husband Jorge (co-founder), she worked to create Lili and Cata, a place that tackles these issues but also as important a place that is fun!

Bouquet is a small business that hasn't promoted much on Instagram or Eater, so it seems to have gone under the radar. I'm hoping I can do it justice as the first reviewer on this platform. We stumbled upon Bouquet during a mini bar crawl in Greenpoint. We initially planned to hit a few spots, but ended up settling in here for most of the night. We were mostly served by Eric who I believe was the owner operator. He's a NYC native who is super passionate about wine. The wine bar focuses on natural wines and other wines which emphasize minimal additives. The goal here seems to be to sell from producers who try to capture magic in a bottle. The wine list is three pages, so it's long but still approachable. There are about ten wines available by the glass. I started with a Montelpuciano. I sampled a bit and found it to be gassy and funky. The bartender was receptive to my feedback and made another recommendation - a different wine from the Loire Valley. The second option was more of what I was looking for. It was a more structured wine with a more traditional palate. I decided to eventually circle back to the Montelpuciano for my second glass. I'm stubborn and like to give a different flavors a chance to grow on me. I'm a person who doesn't like blue cheese but continually tries it just to make sure. The aroma of this wine was minerally. The best description I have is an Iron adjacent smell. Almost like blood but not the same. The flavor was earthy and rooty. It was the best part of the wine. It had a short finish. I'm no wine expert, but I can tell I was tasting something special. The last time I had wine like this was at a wine making competition. I also tried some of the wine on draft. It was an easy going wine that you could easily have a few of. We didn't have any food, but it seemed like the signature of the menu was their smash burgers. They also had some small bites like fries, cheese, olives, charcuterie, and salads. The other big items were schnitzel and the Rigatoni Alla Vino. The operator said the Rigatoni was an ode to a dish from Don Peppe's - a locals' favorite Italian restaurant in Queens. The space is welcoming. It part of the new wave of wine bars that aren't stuffy. It's about trying fun and experimental wines. Young stuff. Not necessarily hawking out for carefully aged vintages. It's fun and the team is very hospitable. Music is what I'd expect from a Queens local. Lots of 90s and 2000s hip hop. Playlist was filled with A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, and Common. They have some big speakers and turntables for vinyl records. They had a new record from Future which I suppose is something to boost for audiophiles. Acoustics here were as good as any listening lounge that we've been to in NYC. Entertainment wise, they have some board games behind the bar. No TVs inside the bar, but they have a projector in the backyard which can be used for special events. Two gender neutral restrooms. The one I used was handicap accessible. There is a step to enter the establishment, but they have a button to press in order to request assistance with entry. Good luck to Bouquet! They'll certainly be my go to for wine in Greenpoint.
