They pushed back my cuticles dry and it's super uncomfortable
    Claudia C.

Came here because my friend wanted to get extensions and gel. Both of us ended up doing dip powder, which is slightly less damaging and easier to remove than gel. The owner's two kids were milling around doing nothing, and then the owner came in (all three of them were wearing matching shirts) to yell at one of the workers for chatting with me. Weird and kinda crowded, I don't think a lot of people make appointments. I didn't really like how they did my nails--the gel was too thick and they pushed up my cuticle without soaking or moisturizing if ahead of time, so my skin is pretty dry and damaged from that. Also they left some of the polish on my skin and I had to come back and ask for it to be removed. I wouldn't come back here again! ALSO!!! Other than gradient, which they charge $10 extra for, they do not do designs here.

I had an AMAZING experience here. The staff is SOOO friendly. I called for an appointment an hour before I arrived, and I was seated right away. Angela absolutely killed it with my dip powder extensions... and they were only like 60 bucks! I was legit so excited to look at them when I woke up. They're evenly shaped and BEAUTIFUL. I can't wait to go back!

Sigh.. was hoping to find my next nail salon, but Spa Ella is not the place. Too bad because this place looked pretty nice and spacious. I scheduled an appt, and was told that they charge $10 for removal upon arrival for my fingers and $10 for my toes. But because the gel off my pedicure was almost all off, they only charged me $5. A little steep to be charged $20 for removal, but sure. I was told to pick a color for my nails, so I picked the first deep red I saw (usually not my color, but felt like switching it up). I was then told that its Chanel, so therefore its extra $$$. So I picked the red next to it that wasn't Chanel (forgot the brand because the brand was not the most important thing to me, I just picked it b/c of the color). I was told that one was also going to be extra $$$. At this point I was a little annoyed, but moved along. The regular pedicure itself was done pretty well. Its actually in pretty good shape about 10 days later, which is good. I will say that I am not impressed with the gel manicure. I could tell that the coats were done extremely thin. It seemed as if it was going to chip soon, and so it did just a little over a week later. My thumb's polish started cracking, and a few of the nails chipped as well. Too bad it didn't last me 10 days. I will likely not be back for a manicure, but possibly a pedicure.

Since moving to Long Island from Williamsburg almost 2 years ago, it has been a struggle to find a nail salon that is clean and does a good job. I am leaving for vacation in a few days and searched on Yelp for high rated nail salons in the area where I work - cue Spa Ella II. I messed up and made my appointment for the wrong day, but Enny still fit me in for a gel manicure and a pedicure. She did an amazing job (I even opted for a 10 minute foot massage). My nails look amazing and my legs feel wonderful. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Ella & her girls are the best around. They are all so lovely & kind! I have been so happy with my nails every time & receive so many compliments! Prices are great & the salon is clean. I am so thankful to have found this place. Thank you Ella!!! 10 stars

I don't think regular polishes like Zoya for instance, should be $2 more.

Came here with a Groupon for a gel mani and regular pedi. I am removing one star just for all the small added fees at Spa Ella II. $2 extra, cash in person when you have a Groupon for some reason. No explanation. Why not just make the Groupon $2 more expensive? $2 more for the majority of the nail polishes (see photo). The only ones covered in the price are Essie and some OPI. $6 for a sticker stripe on only two nails. $15 for chrome nail polish. $10 for my glitter ombre (this was the only added cost I thought was fair). The good: It was a nice atmosphere and everyone was very kind and accommodating. Both technicians working on me did a good job overall, but my manicurist had to switch with the owner (manager?) because she unfortunately could not do an ombre nail design.

**UPDATED 7/29** After I posted my review the owner reached out and let me come back in to get a new gel manicure - I got it done today and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The color came out great and the lady who did my nails did such a great job. Thank you Ella & team!

I pass several neighborhood nail salons just to come to Spa Ella. They get it right every single time! Great quality, quick, and everyone who works there is so sweet. Highly recommend!

Every time I treat myself I come here. They are friendly and quick. If I make specifications they listen. I love this place and will recommend it to anyone specially if you can handle heavy chemical smells. They use SNS instead of acrylic

Horrible HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a Groupon and decided to pop in to see if I would be able to use my voucher on a Thursday morning. I was excited when I saw that the nail salon was empty. I walked in and greeted the woman at the front desk who because angry once she saw my Groupon voucher. She said I would have to make an appointment 24 hours in advance. I asked if there was any way that I could please have an appointment now? Mind you, there are 3 nail technicians there just sitting and waiting. She became even more angry and rolled her eyes and said THIS IS NOT YOUR BUSINESS YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. She then went back to her desk and that was the end of our conversation. I'm not sure why a business would opt to do Groupon and then treat their customers like this. I am calling Groupon to report this as soon as I finish this review! Update: I was able to cancel my order on Groupon thank goodness! I would not (and I recommend you don't as well) give this spa your business. We all should be treated with respect even if we use Groupon. Also, be careful because it seems someone named Wing (might be the owner) is posting the same review every few months, probably to boost their rating. Edit: The owner, who replied to my review, clearly does not realize that it isn't the fact that I was not able to receive a treatment without an appointment. It was her nasty attitude that several other reviews have echoed. Ella, please learn some customer service skills and try to be NICE to your customers.

Pretty nice nail salon in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality my nail technician exhibited throughout my entire experience. I did not catch her name, but her chair was the fourth from the front entrance. The chairs were quite comfortable and plastic coverings were placed over the foot sinks in the area where pedicures are done. I loved the vast array of nail polishes at this location, both regular and gel. One thing that bothered me was the fact that I had no cash coming here and thought it would be quite easy to pay the Groupon tip that was mandatory as well as the tip for my technician. It was as if there was a five alarm fire when the manager caught wind that I did not have cash. The manager proceeded to leave her own customer to come up to me and ask whether I had Venmo or any cash at all, and my whole mood was blown. Aside from that, really liked this place.

I'm knocking off one star because of the attitude of a woman who was at the front desk. She was rude and not very welcoming. It wouldn't surprise me if she was the business owner. I've purchased gel mani and regular pedicure via groupon. Making an appointment was easy and straightforward. Be aware that as soon as you arrive you'll be asked to pay $2 tax.... no idea why was this not included in the price to start with, just ridiculous. The lady who took care of me- her name was Sisi if I'm correct was very sweet and precise. She wasn't taking much but that's fine with me. All ladies working at the salon are Asian origin, perhaps Vietnamese? So don't get put off by the fact they all chat amongst each other in their native language. I couldn't help but feel that they talked about me to start with and it wasn't pleasant. I was very happy with the final results of my nails. Sisi took a really good care of me. Also the salon is very clean and with a nice decor.

Salon is modern and new, love that this location is closer to home. All the workers are lovely and sweet. Love getting SNS powder done by Hannah. Her shaping skills are flawless.

I got the basic gel manicure and regular pedicure, and it came out to $98 before tax + tip. I got my nails done with Jasmin, and she did a great job perfectly shaping my nails + painting. Also was so impressed with my pedicure (not pictured), as my feet were in terrible condition and they look soooo good now! It's been a week and my nails haven't chipped at all. Sometimes when I go to nail salons the paint job is a little messy, and when I do light colors I'm worried about it being streaky or uneven, but this place was really great about meticulously painting, and it looks great! They also give you a little moisturizer and hand/foot massage with the standard mani/pedi which was a nice touch. Everyone there was super nice and I like that there was a cafe attached where you could get something to sip on or eat while you waited. All in all, would definitely recommend, really high quality service and good value IMO, will be coming back soon!

Unfortunately, I've repeatedly been booked with Binbin Xia, and each appointment with her has been uncomfortable. I'm a quiet, polite client, I ask for advice when needed, and I always tip well for good work. Despite that, her communication has often felt rude, impatient, and dismissive. At times, her frustration and negativity were so obvious that I considered leaving mid-service. It's disappointing because the actual nail results are good, and I've had a different technician there who was lovely and collaborative. But customer service is a major part of the experience, and the way I've been treated by Binbin has made it hard for me to want to return. I hope she learn to respect and at minimum exhibit kindness to the person across from her. It can help make the experience so much better for both parties.

It just been many misses the past months. I got this time a gel acrylic tip. I asked for short almond with a yellow French tip design. Everything was just so rushed and unorganized. They had so many people come in and they want to attend all but it's only three females working and all shuffling around each other. Literally all three woman did different things to partake in doing my nails and still they came out so bad. I'm not one to complain because I just feel so uncomfortable having to do so but even if I did I couldn't because they had already started working on 5 other people they said yes to while only being 3 workers working ! So I would've needed to wait even longer to get them fixed. My thumbs were two different shapes. And my nails just looked so bad they shaped them in like 4 minutes all my 10 fingers which I feel takes time but they didn't bc they all rushing and just taking on more than they can so my nails were all just not shaped or buffed out and smoothed out at all. Making the shape look so bad from the sides as you can see. And then the paint job was awful! It was so bulky and looking like waves on my nails which you can see in the pictures and especially on the sides how bad it all looks. I left so sad and defeated because I paid $60 for this job and left a tip to make it $70! Just to come home and remove it all. Then the past months I get a gel manicure on my nails very simple manicure of just gel and they start chipping within 5 days never did it use to do that but three times I've gone and that's what I ended up with so it's time for me to just not come here anymore they gone so downhill

Honestly I don't have a go-to manicurist because, in my opinion, the ladies who have served me (usually) did an excellent job- minus some accidental hiccups. There are no fancy tricked out pedi chairs but I still felt comfortable and pampered. I went in after seeing all the great reviews since I was in the area and the receptionist told me it would be a 1/2 hour wait for a mani pedi. No problem. Because it's small and they seem to have a loyal customer following I had no problem waiting a bit instead of trying a few of the nearby places. I loved the huge variety of colors and brands, and especially that they carry Zoya polishes which are some of my favorites (they tend to apply very well and last), but you don't see them in salons very often. I got a really thorough but efficient basic mani-pedi. I was amazed at how quickly she worked and both my fingers and toes looked gorgeous after. Especially since my fingers had a pastel pistachio color that can sometimes apply streakily in the wrong hands. But nope, I got a flawless application. I stayed a bit longer to do an extra drying cycle because I didn't want to mess up the beautiful work I just had done. I'm giving it 3 stars because after only two days both the polish on my fingers and toes started chipping within 2 days. For fingers it's not that unexpected, even though I wasn't very active during that time. I was really surprised the toenail polish began chipping, since I've had good pedis that last 10-14 days unblemished and even longer and I thought the one I got at Freckle would be in the longer-lasting category. If I'm in the neighborhood I might try Freckle again because I walked out feeling great and my nails did look incredible from the start.
