I didn't have to wait to be seen on a sunny weekend afternoon. Some people had come in with appointments however, but it doesn't seem like you need one. They charge more if you pay with credit card. Let's face it, I have polish at home and can do this myself. I am paying for the experience and this salon gives. I will say that their pedicure seat are a bit uncomfortable. I like to recline and these seats are cushions. price: I am a frugal girl. I do not like to pay over $100 for my simple mani/pedi. I had a gel mani with two designs and a spa pedicure with callus remover (not sure why salons charge separately to remove calluses since that is the whole point of this water pedicure, no? digressing.). Nice and affordable nail salon in Williamsburg! The staff is very friendly and the service is good. Very clean and spacious salon, too. You can get a manicure for $18 or a pedicure for $35. I usually get the gel manicure for $40. It last about 2 weeks. They also do "happy hour" specials with some form of a mani or pedi combo. They can do simpler nail art and the price is per nail. I went to the Ainslie Beauty Lounge on Columbus Day. I made an appointment that day for an 11:30 time slot. I was a little early for my appointment, but that allowed me to look for a color, and boy do they have a great selection. I was mesmerized by the look and feel of the nail salon, aka lounge beauty lounge. I have never been here before but I fancy the restaurant next door. I was able to pick my color and then she started my pedicure. I do wish the pedicure was a little longer for the price point, but it was good. My feet looked nice. At the end you receive a little massage, nice touch. It's very clean. They do have a membership program as well. Not sure what the membership entails but good to know that once you are a patron, you become a member. I definitely would like to try them again, if you're looking to get a manicure I believe they only do gel and regular polish, they do not do SNS. Good spot if you want to treat yourself. I called and made an appointment, explained I wanted two nails on each hand to be marble they say no problem but I have to do gel, I said no problem. I show them the picture the lady asked someone else they then said yes no problem. I confirmed that they can do my nails because the color on my feet I only chose because it goes with my nails again she confirms yes no problem. I go to sit and do my nails someone else comes over to say no they don't do that or have gold. Well... I thought I would give this place a try. Unfortunately I deeply regret it. The person doing my pedicure wasn't so bad. However Carmen did my gel manicure and it was horrible. She didn't cut to file or even my nails. Some long some short, I asked her to even it and cut a nail that was longer and she sucked her teeth and only fixed one. A friend and I came in on a Sunday afternoon. We called about two hours beforehand, and they were able to squeeze us in for an appointment. We got their basic mani/pedi, and a gel mani/pedi. This included callous removal, paraffin wax treatment, exfoliating scrub, nail & cuticle care, and a short massage for the pedi, and an exfoliating scrub, nail & cuticle care, and a short massage for the mani, as well as a little back massage. This place is my favorite nail place in the area and one of my favorite in the city. I can't say I've been to that many but this is still a great place. Everyone is so nice, and it was so easy to call for the appointment. The staff is really easy going and friendly and it's a very welcoming environment. The shop is so clean, nicely lit, well laid out, and comfortable. We went in a group of three and had spa pedicures with additional 10 min chair massages. The spa pedicures were great and the chair massages were surprisingly good. I expected it to be nice but two of us had the kind of massage experiences where the time is up and you sit up and you're like "where am I. Who am I." They were disorientingly good. My only criticism is that I think they don't use the hot towel to wipe off the really thick balm they put on your legs for the spa pedicure and I was pretty oily and slippery, and slipped around a lot in the disposable flip flops. Also, my tech left the paraffin bags on my heels after I got up for the chair massage, which also made it slippery. Prices are reasonable for the area and the service. I have been coming to this beauty lounge for years, and I love coming here but I never really had any big problems until recently. Last week I went in for a gel manicure and spa pedicure. During the service my nail tech seemed bothered and angry when I asked for the spa pedicure. She had a slight attitude during the whole service. Left me wondering what I did wrong. At the end I left with polish left on the sides of multiple fingers and on some of my toe's. I also was not told how much the service was before my card was charged and I still ended up paying way over $100 dollars and tipped accordingly to the service I received. I usually turn a blind eye (this is not the first time I've received bad service from here) but I chose to finally write a review because this time i was told I needed to tip more than 15% if I was happy with the service. I go here all the time and it is hands down the best nail salon I've been to anywhere. These ladies are so sweet and friendly and they do FANTASTIC job. Never had my manicure last so long. Each and every one of them has an amazing attention to detail. The interior is so beautifully designed and is always clean. Anytime I go anywhere else I don't get the same result. I booked this spot to get a pedicure and manicure before my upcoming vacation (along with a pedicure for my boyfriend). I showed up with unshaven legs because I have an appointment to get the waxed elsewhere and you can't shave for at least 3-4 weeks prior. Well when sitting down in the pedicure station, my nail tech Dolores felt it was appropriate to make fun of me. She thought I wouldn't understand her, but was wrong as I speak the language well enough to know I was being made fun of. But even if I didn't, she made it incredibly obvious that she was laughing at me. In fact she even brought other nail techs over to laugh, point, and speak badly about me in front of my own face. They had no issue with the actual hair on the legs given that no one said anything about my boyfriend having hair on his legs. No they had an issue with me having hair because I'm a woman. Completely unprofessional and almost made me cry in their shop. Regardless of how Dolores felt about my body, she should not have gone out of her way to make me feel disgusting and unwelcome for a service I'm paying for. The pedicure itself was rushed and the paint job was uneven/sloppy. And I'm glad they forgot to book the manicure part of my appointment because after that experience I didn't even want them to touch my body any further. Worst experience and will never be going back.
