I had the worst manicure of my life here -- right before getting engaged. The pictures speak for themselves horrible quality. Every nail was a different size, there was so much glue the acrylics were lifted -- to the point that they hurt. I cried in the chair I was so unhappy. The nail tech and I couldn't understand each other and the manager did not seem to care. There was no discount or offer to fix them even when I pointed out the issues. And also the manicure took over two hours. Honestly it was such a horrible experience I don't know how they're still in business. read more

I wanted to really LOVE this place. It's Latin owned and in my neighborhood. I've been faithful to another nail place by me but lately they I haven't been happy with them. So I figure this place is cute and chic let's try first with a pedicure. I go the website and made appt for a jelly spa . I needed extra TLC on these feet. Says 45 minutes $55 . I had to leave a $30 non refundable deposit with an additional $2 fee. Got an email my spot was for 3:30pm on a Saturday. And my balance was $23 and obviously whatever you would leave as a tip. I get there looks empty but also not a lot of staff. Very cute aesthetic looking place playing Spanish music which I love lol. The receptionist tells me give the girl 2 minutes she was eating. I said no problem I am a bit early it was 3:23. As I am waiting another girl comes in with a 4pm appt and the receptionist gets whomever is scheduled to do her feet and says they can see her earlier. I assumed she had been there before. I finally get called to the back and was told to sit in a very pretty chair like the ones they use in baby showers and parties .But it's not comfortable it's covered in plastic and was getting stuck to my thick thighs. On top of that the AC must've been on low because it was kind of warm in there. So the girl as me what I'm getting. I looked confused because isn't it by appt and it says who you get and what the service is. She asked me if i spoke Spanish. Which I clearly do. I had to go on my email to shower her i had Joanna for a jelly spa pedicure. She's like that's $60. I'm like well the website says $55 and it should be honored because I clearly have no control and what you guys have on the website. It is now almost 345 she's taking her sweet time even goes on her phones. I started to feel really uncomfortable and was about to walk out til i realized they already charged me $32 non refundable. They just keep going back and forth about the price. It was slightly annoying. The girl that came after me was sitting next to me and told me it was her first time and they was also an issue with the price for her. Then she gives me the colors in nails and i know usually salons give that for gel. So I'm like is this for gel? She says yes i told her i didn't want gel. She basically was like so why didn't i get a color. I'm like is the spa pedicure with gel ? Shes like whichever you want. I'm like no regular nail polish is fine. I must say with all that the jelly spa pedicure felt good and she took her time filing and cutting my cuticle she even did a good job painting. My feet felt soft but when i got home its back to it's hard self lol I dried my feet and went to pay in cash the girl has no change . I had to use my debit and tip her like that too unfortunately. I asked the receptionist who was the owner or manager and she said Vicky but she wasn't there. She apologized for the inconvenience and that apparently it was her first day. I was going to say because she has to keep coming to ask the nail techs questions anytime a customer came in, so clearly she's new. One other thing was that two of the staff has their kids there while they worked. One looks about 8 the other little girl was like 5. Funny the website says don't bring extra ppl unless they getting services but staff can have their kids there. Not sure I will come back. read more

Just walked out and will NEVER return. I have gone here every month for a gel dry pedicure. For months. I would sit there for hours for a perfect pedicure and Never paid more than $50 for that. I even got poly gel last month and paid $75 for poly gel, regular gels polish and everything they just did today! Well I just got my usual pedi which I booked online and it said $45. and they charged me $97!!! I asked for French, usually that's an extra $15 at most places. But I guess that's an extra $50 here!? Wt*f! I paid it but F this place. Absolutely ridiculous price! Definitely was robbed just now. I rather go to a private nail tech for that price. read more

Mily is the absolute best with her customer service!!! She ensures you feel comfortable and offers her delicious coffee. The place is so clean including the bathroom. I went to Bella Nail Studio since it was in my new neighborhood. It caught my attention from the beautiful curb appeal. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as I went for a walk-in basic pedicure. There was minimal wait and they were able to take both my friend and me at the same time. A basic pedicure included your typical foot soak, file and shape nails, cut nails, short foot massage with lotions, and toe nail polish. It was overall a nice experience, however i felt that a few things could've enhanced my time here. The only 2 tools in the sanitation packet were cuticle tools. The Emory boards and filing blocks seemed to be communal as well as nail clippers and foot/callus files. I would've felt better if those tools were also sanitized beforehand and made clear to me that they were sterile. Additionally, my stylist added cuticle oil at the very end of my pedicure (after the polish and top coat were on) which gave my nails and toes a strange greasy finish... after getting home my nails already are looking worn and chipped. I'm not sure I will be returning to this establishment personally, however it seemed like well- liked spot for gel manicures. read more

I've tried this place several times and I've tried to really like it but every time they have disappointed me. I go here when I need something simple such as I did today. I wanted an almond with French on short- medium length and while the tech was nice not only did she take from 1:30pm- 5pm to finish, she charged me 113 dollars. Which I've never paid for, even for nails with complex designs and chrome. It's definitely over priced for the quality of work. read more

Had a couple hours to kill between clients and figured, "why not get my nails done?" Was heading to my usual place and came upon The Bella Studio Nails and it's such a gorgeous storefront that I had no choice but to enter. It was quiet so I got attended to right away. Explainer what I want and the ladies delivered! Well priced and service is phenomenal. Oh! Almost forgot the finale! She lit a candle before the end of my manicure and let it burn for a while then dropped what I thought was wax but turned out to be essential oils on my hands then massaged them slowly. Bianka did my nails too fire 4 stars cuz they're a bit pricier but definitely great quality she gave me exactly what I wanted. All of the girls are super chill and its good vibes. I like that they provide all services because I've gone places that dont do SNS or dont do acrylics but here they provide everything. I went to this salon as part of my bachelorette weekend, hoping to have some cute nails. Unfortunately, they damaged my nails super bad. I came in with a gel manicure and they wanted to remove it with an electric buffer, I told the lady that I rather they just take it off with acetone and a file as I have always done it because buffer can really damage your nail. Almost 30 minutes after soaking, I was ignored by the nail techs. My nails were soaking for so long that they started to hurt. It was only when I spoke about my discomfort that a nail tech came back to service me and started filing my nails. Someone else took over for her and started filing my nails harshly. The new nail tech was filing fast and hard (probably to try and open the chair for another client) however she filed too deep in on of my nails and injured it pretty badly. When I told her that she injured it I didn't receive an apology instead she made me think that it was just the gel that she took off when you could clearly see a hole on my nail (she wanted to keep filing). The pain was super bad, and they even soaked my nails again because they couldn't get the gel polish off. I couldn't stand the acetone, especially on my injured nail as it burned. So I said I would pay them for any work done but would not be completing the rest of the appointment. They didn't charge me but they also didn't recognize that they injured me. What's worse is that the nail she injured was my wedding band finger and although this happened two weeks ago...it's still super sensitive and I don't know how it will be for my wedding day next week. I waited to write this review in hopes that my nail would heal and it would just be a mistake but even my regular nail tech said that they really screwed up my nails with the harsh filing. I really wanted to like this place and I always want to support a small business especially a fellow latin business but not worth the pain. tldr: they injured my nail bed by filing my nails too deep trying to remove gel polish, no apology. Save yourself time and go somewhere else. read more

I was thrilled when this salon popped up in my neighborhood. It's extremely clean and welcoming. The music is on point and the staff is attentive. My manicurist was diligent and meticulous with my gel manicure. Easily the best gel mani I have ever gotten. She was doing all types of tricks and techniques to get the polish evenly distributed. I knew this mani was gonna rock when I was there for over an hour. It's now a week later and my nails still look exactly the same as when I left the salon. No chips or peeling! Will be back for sure. All the ladies that work there are so nice. Brisa was my nail tech and she did beyond an amazing job. I am a bit crazy when it comes to the shape of my nails and she was patient and fixed anything that I saw out of place. She took her time both on my pedicure and hands. Basically paid 50$ to have my hands destroyed. I went for a basic gel manicure, which typically takes 30-45mins to do at any other salon. I was there for 2 hours. First the technician spent 45 minutes using a drill bit to clean my cuticles. She went over them 4 or 5 times and it was painful and my cuticles were bleeding by the end. She was very rough with every step, scraping a brush across them to clean them up and aggressively filing and buffing each nail. Even after all that time I didn't feel that my nails were filed that nicely as many of them still had jagged ends. Then as she went to start with the polish, I was told "your nails might burn a bit when you put them under the UV light but it's normal" ...???? I've been getting gel manicures for years I have never had that happen, it is not normal. It did indeed burn and for each finger I had to continuously take my hands out from under the light throughout to give myself a break from the burning. In the end, the polish job does look decent (I would hope so considering she meticulously did each finger one by one) but my hands HURT. Any time I wash my hands, brush my fingers against anything, put lotion on, etc my cuticles are BURNING. There are plenty of other places in the neighborhood that can do a great manicure for half the time and without ripping your hands apart. Oh I almost forgot to mention, the technician was not wearing a mask while nyc is in the middle of a huge covid spike. read more

On November , I received a pedicure from this salon. I do not recommend for the following reasons: (1) the nail tech was kind and nice overall , however , after cutting my toe nails , she put my feet back in the bowl , I asked her to please file them (I never have to ask nail techs to file , this is basic) , she said yes but proceeded to buff and not file the toenail at all. (2) she applied an oil on the nails before painting and did not remove it at all before painting (i didn't think much , I taught it an specific oil that would not affect the polish). I dried the nail for 20-25 mins and when I got home they were all mess up , after taking a shower I saw the badly cut cuticles. I called the salon 8 days after , management did listen to me and offered me to come again to paint but not refund was posible. I believe the nail tech was not certified as she was wearing different uniform than all the other techs in the salon also the other nail tech providing service to another customer , did file her customer toenails. I would not recommend this place for pedicures. I did not get manicure here so I can't speak on that. read more

Just tried this salon and am super happy with them. Vicky did my nails and was incredibly kind and detail oriented. It was a little pricier than I'm used to but seeing every tool come out of a sanitized package is something I've rarely seen in this city, as well as the kindness of the staff makes it all worthwhile. They make me feel like a valued customer and when I made an appointment I did not have to wait at all. When I asked for a glass of water she even had someone run to the bodega to get me a bottle rather than give me tap! Super considerate, very excited to have found them. read more

I was so excited to see this gorgeous nail salon open in my neighborhood. I stopped in around 3:45 pm and was told it would be a 30 min wait for a gel manicure. I waited...and waited...and waited. The salon was nearly empty but had little staff, a child without a mask running around screaming banging on the door touching everything and there was no communication from the women who knew I was waiting much longer than 30 minutes. After 40 i had to swallow my pride after realizing how much time I wasted. I got up and left and found an amazing place just 2 min away. I also realize based on the other salon's pricing that they are nearly double the price for equal services. Also that wait time is an indication of how slow they work because each customer had been there before I arrived. Too bad that this new business is so unprofessional over priced and inconsiderate. I've been here twice and every time I went the girls there were rude and unprofessional they speak about you and assume that you don't understand Spanish it's okay to talk about you in Spanish regardless I still tipped them. They don't tell you how long to wait they don't welcome you. I got there at 2pm and left out of there at 9 at night because they let people skip over me only because they knew them more than me. I went to this place twice hoping the first was just a bad day but no. Both times I went in just to get my tips and dip manicure taken off. The first time I was the only one in there as all the technicians were gathered around one chair talking to each other. I stood there for a while before anyone even noticed I was there. Then the person they sent over had no idea what they were doing and had to ask multiple times- again just taking off- and took 30 mins just to put the foils on. Second time today, again very slow getting foils on and then I sat in my chair for 40 minutes while the technician disappeared. I know it doesn't take 40 mins for dip to soak off. I ended up asking another technician if she was coming back or not and she went to get her. They have tv's in their shop but both times they weren't on and with your fingers in foils all you can do is stare at a blank wall. Once she came back and took the foils off, she didn't even put enough nail polish remover on the cotton for it all to come off. She was going to put foils on again and I had to say no I'll just take it like this because no way am I sitting another 40 mins while she does god knows what. It's absolutely ridiculous that it takes a full hour just to get half a manicure very poorly off. They don't seem like they want to do their jobs and have no regard for the customers time.
