The waxes themselves are great and I have appreciated the staff and their technique. 1. I signed up for the Face Fix Membership. In the buying process, the Face Fix does not have a description of what it includes/excludes. I only discovered that it included 2 services/month when I tried to book a third service in the same month. Sure - ok maybe just a website issue... so I emailed them and have not heard back for a week+. But then, on top of that... 2. I canceled before my billing date (a day or two before), and for some reason, it's locking me into this membership until THE END OF SEPTEMBER - TWO months from now. I will obviously be disputing this with my credit card company, but it's pretty sus to me that it takes a month to "process by cancellation request." I've checked my confirmation email and there is nothing about a membership cancellation notice. There is also a "processing fee" of $15 to get your membership set up, which I accepted when I bought the membership. Anyways, my advice is to use the services at Uni Wax, but be very careful about what you're signing up for because they are employing some pretty sketchy practices.

There were some hairs that couldn't come off due to ingrown hairs and a short length. She did tweeze some of them after waxing. They put baby powder on before you get into the waxing. Afterwards they apply cream. Luckily my skin isn't red when they finish the procedure so they do a nice job.

Irina is gentle, an angel, talented, profesional and the conversation you have with her is so genuine and makes the process so not terrifying. She's the Russian mommy I always wanted. She calls me a "baby" just because I always get scared before my wax and we laugh through the entire time. Lets be real- brazilian waxing is the scariest most terrifying thing a woman does (besides childbirth lmao) but if you have any reservations or are nervous, she will walk you through the process. Brazilians are done in less than 10 minutes, seriously. She plucks any other leftover hairs (never more than 1 or 2) and I also rarely get ingrowns. Never burns or rashes and I have very sensitive skin. It's always an immaculate job. I have lived all over NYC and Long Island and no matter where I am, I will always go back to Irina and Serenity. At this point, she is family. A million stars! I will recommend to ANYONE. Advice: Bring cash, and don't be late for your appointment. Use Tend Skin a day after wax and you can purchase it there. Brazilians are $50.

This place is GREAT. Typical prices - a gel mani is $30, regular mani is $9. Lots of combo specials. Angelica did my nails and she killed it. She took the time to shape and reshape my nails meticulously. She really took her time and did it the right way with no shortcuts without taking forever. Its a delicate balance! They use aromatherapy and even have the cutest doggy pet in their shop. He's so quiet and friendly. The owner, I believe, was just so nice. She even massaged my shoulders and neck free of charge. She was so positive and in great spirits. My feet were baby smooth, I've not had a pedicure done so well like this in forever. I was in and out in all of 20-25 minutes tops. Overall, I am happy with the color and my nails being all filed and cleaned up, however, I did notice some indents on my top coat on 2-3 nails that's noticeable if you look up close. This minor flaw wouldn't prevent me from coming back. The place is immaculately CLEAN and the pedicure station did look inviting; I might have to get my gel pedicure here in a week or two for the upcoming wedding I'll be attending. Note: If you use the ATM like I did, my bank charged me $2.99 for the transaction, so be sure to get your cash before coming in!

I needed a fill-in and repair for a nail that I broke, as I had a party to go to that evening. Not a bad environment, but not a great one either. It felt like a chop shop that was trying too hard to keep up with the times, without any real improvements, other than new pedicure chairs. The woman who did my nails was actually quite thorough, but after seeing her pull tools and a heavily used nail file out of an unsanitized box underneath the hot towels, I kind of was turned off a bit, but didn't walk away as I needed this nail fixed. So she re-shaped my nails from coffin to a slightly pointed oval. I asked for very pointy and sharp twice, but she seemed to just blow that off all together. As she was working on my nails, I realized that she wasn't really filling in the apex of the nail, so they don't feel as durable as they normally would for long nail and I'm a bit fearful of them breaking. I did feel very rushed and when I asked if I could get nail art, she basically was like "another time", as I am guessing she had an appointment after me. But you could've just passed me onto another nail tech to finish the design if that was the case... kind of strange. It was $70 for the one repair, a mediocre fill in, changing the shape, and gel polish. Plus, tip, because even if the service wasn't the best, it's still a service. Tip your waitress, understood? All I will say, is that I'll be glad to go back to my normal nail tech in a few weeks, unless one of these falls off before then. The color was a lovely shade of poppy and it looked great for a quick fix. So there's that!
