My first time at Adir was great! This is my friend's go-to nail salon so I was excited to try it out. It's a bit tucked away but close to the L train Metropolitan Lorimer stop. Fenny did my nails, which was a Cateye Gel Manicure ($48). Normal gel manicure is $38. I wanted a deep maroon for the holidays and am really pleased how it turned out. There was just a small bubble on one nail, and another nail tech, Cindy was super kind with getting it fixed (since Fenny had to leave). Overall, the price is very fair for what you get! Much cheaper than other places. Recommend bringing cash since there's a small fee for paying with credit card. However, they also accept venmo/zelle. read more

Second time stopping here and enjoyed it! Cindy helped me with my pedicure - she was efficient but still cleaned up my nails/made them look great. They have WiFi, so I did a little bit of work while sitting in their comfy massage chairs! They also offer a massage while you're waiting for your nails to dry. I have been going here since August and love. The place is clean and everyone is so nice. Cindy, the owner, did my tips with SNS powder and may nails have grown out and I just do SNS powder. it can get busy and she stops to deal with payments and other things going on, but I am ok. As long as my nails get done the way I like them I am very happy. I also have done pedis and am very pleased. read more

Employees were racist and very rude towards me. They added on charges I was not made aware of and charged me 10$ for a color I wasn't aware was that much more. They threw my hand each time they switched hands and laughed at me when I asked for corrections. I always stay so calm and nice. I mean my nails are in your hands ! But I felt extremely uncomfortable here. I will not be coming back. If you are a POC I do not recommend. read more

I got gel x extensions from May and I'm so obsessed with them. While it did take awhile, she was super detail oriented and it was Incredibly affordable compared to how much this would cost at other salons, especially with the additional nail art! read more

I made the mistake of coming here when my usual place, Agua de la Vida, was too busy to take me at the time. I'm currently laying in bed restless with pain from the manicure I got at Adir earlier today. I cannot speak for all the of manicurists, but the one I had, Cindy, was careless, hasty, rough, and distracted. I got SNS powder and she rushed to get all of it on my nails in a messy manner, and then left me for 10-15 minutes to do someone's pedicure with no explanation (SNS does not need to dry), meanwhile, my nails looked like my 2 year old niece did them. Then she came back to "clean them up" with the drill and shortened my nails as much as possible after I said at the beginning I didn't want to change the length! They're so short you can see my finger tips underneath, and I had a very nice, healthy length going in. She also drilled the heck out of the skin on my fingers and they hurt so bad. And then, to remove the red dye on my skin, she used cuticle cutters, which obviously made me bleed (why not just use rubbing alcohol...). I wish I had my plain nails back from before the manicure. When I got home and told my roommate about it, she said she also had a horrible experience at Adir. I can't wait to never go here again, lol. Agua de la Vida is half a block down the road with PERFECT service. I've been there countless times and left over the moon every time, for the SAME price as this place! I am in awe that such drastically different levels of service exist a block away at the same price. Only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I did in fact walk out with a manicure, which I wasn't sure would actually happen. Wow! read more

I noticed a few weeks ago that this salon had opened, and today I finally allowed myself to get a mani and pedi. I walked in to a warm welcome and was asked to choose my color for my pedicure. I chose a hot magenta color. The pedicure (green tea pedi) was great thanks my pedicurist named S. After the pedicure, I chose my colors for my gel manicure (with tips because my natural nails are short) and the manicure was great as well!! The atmosphere is calming and everyone is very friendly. This place just opened up right next to me and I wanted to support a new local business so I stopped by for a gel manicure and basic pedicure. Everyone was very nice and the salon is very clean and relaxing and smells great. They were very detailed with the mani and pedi and took extra care of the cuticles. They both turned out very clean, especially where the polish touches the cuticles which is important to me. They also massage your shoulders and hands at the end for longer than most places. Worst 120 dollar mani/pedi ever. I hate salons that upcharge men but don't put in half the effort. There is no way I should have been made to pay for a deluxe with callus remover to leave with callus and uneven cuticles. i had a great first experience here, but upon returning things were not the same. a young girl was my nail tech, she clipped the tip of my fingers off, catching them along with my nail in the clipper. my nails were cut to the quick. my cuticles were more damaged than cleaned up. overall, an upsetting trip to the nail salon. read more
