I was taken care of right away, and asked for a gel manicure ($30). They have a generous selection of colors to choose from, and opted for a very light, airy pink, #177. The overall process wasn't too involved, but my technician was very careful, and really tried to make sure she cleaned my cuticles well. The process was standard at best and no surprises either. I was in and out in all of 20-25 minutes tops. Overall, I am happy with the color and my nails being all filed and cleaned up, however, I did notice some indents on my top coat on 2-3 nails that's noticeable if you look up close. I needed a fill-in and repair for a nail that I broke, as I had a party to go to that evening. Not a bad environment, but not a great one either. It felt like a chop shop that was trying too hard to keep up with the times, without any real improvements, other than new pedicure chairs. The woman who did my nails was actually quite thorough, but after seeing her pull tools and a heavily used nail file out of an unsanitized box underneath the hot towels, I kind of was turned off a bit, but didn't walk away as I needed this nail fixed. So she re-shaped my nails from coffin to a slightly pointed oval. I asked for very pointy and sharp twice, but she seemed to just blow that off all together. As she was working on my nails, I realized that she wasn't really filling in the apex of the nail, so they don't feel as durable as they normally would for long nail and I'm a bit fearful of them breaking. I did feel very rushed and when I asked if I could get nail art, she basically was like "another time", as I am guessing she had an appointment after me. But you could've just passed me onto another nail tech to finish the design if that was the case... kind of strange. It was $70 for the one repair, a mediocre fill in, changing the shape, and gel polish. Plus, tip, because even if the service wasn't the best, it's still a service. Tip your waitress, understood? All I will say, is that I'll be glad to go back to my normal nail tech in a few weeks, unless one of these falls off before then. The color was a lovely shade of poppy and it looked great for a quick fix. So there's that!

Normally I would understand but 1) I went on a Monday morning and 2) There was literally no other customer in the salon and I saw one technician just on her phone at one of the tables. Either yall need to staff more people or what. I'd understand if the place was busy but not being able to walk in during a down time is actually kind of insane. As a very busy person, I don't always have time to plan in advance when to get my nails done. Usually I find myself with free time and want to spontaneously get my nails done. The second time I went, I ended up making an appointment. So I got seated and they did their thing. Since this is a non toxic salon that is environmentally friendly, I get why they do what they do. It's just not for me personally when I want my nails done. I respect but I'm not the target audience. When I get a pedicure, I want it to be relaxing. I like having my feet soaking in a hot tub of water, I like being able to relax in the chair. Instead you don't get any of that, and the way the chairs are, you have to have your knees bent up high rather than down naturally as if sitting in a chair.
