Walked in on a weekday morning so there was no wait, and was in and out in about a half hour. I've only gotten a few official manicures before so I have a small sample size, but this was the best one I've gotten! It's been about a week and a half and my nails are still looking great (no chipping or peeling at all). Just docking a star because the technician working on me nicked me while buffing my nail and I started to bleed, and also shaped my nails to different lengths so they're not even (longer pinky and index fingers, shorter middle and ring fingers). No biggie though since the differences in length will be less obvious as my nails grow out.

Waited 20minutes despite having reservation made online day before so i ticked off 1 star. Another customer next to me was waiting for almost an hour for their appointment! During off times walk in's seem very doable. I got a design gel mani ($50) with cat eye design and Linda was so great at accommodating. The complimentary shoulder massage at the end also rejuvenated me so much. You can add 10 extra minutes of massage on the massage chair just for $15 dollars too. Overall had a good experience and it really relieved my tense body from traveling

Everytime I come here a nail breaks within 3 days. I've tried different technicians for some reason when I ask them not to file so much it's like they don't understand or just disregard. My nails are over filed and brittle thin even with a gel manicure and always end up breaking. Not to mention their methods for fixing a broken nail or somewhat questionable and not exactly aesthetic.

Quality work. Relaxing atmosphere. Good price. Music could be less chill hop? I like the counter sitting. Nice people.

This place is my go-to nail salon in Williamsburg and they specialize in dip/powder manicures (the only kind of manicure that lasts several weeks on my nails). I've probably had 8 different people do my nails here and have never been disappointed. They also do great pedicures and amazing massages. Additionally, their color selection is unbeatable - they probably have over 200 options for dip/powder alone and I constantly see them adding new ones. My only knock on this place is that they often run late with appointments because they are so busy. I usually avoid this by going around lunch time during the week (they have free reliable Wi-Fi).

One whole gel nail came off after putting my hair behind my ear ( I have short curly thin hair)

DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE !!! Unless you want to get scammed and have your nails ruin in 10 days!!! My friend and I went to Lys nails to get our nails and toes done and they had a deal for like 58$ for both. We wanted gel which was a 15$ up charge which was fine no big deal buttttttt they took 2 hours on my nails alone..... My nails are short and I didn't get any fancy design I got a basic soft chrome look and my friend who got a design with extra stuff was out of the chair before me which made us late for our appointment. When we went to pay they charged us 100$ each and when we ask why the whole total should be 75$ they said "oh that's not including taxes" "we have extra taxes here" there was no sign nor did anyone explain that to us before we sat down. Also my gel came off after 10 days !!! They should have lasted a minimum of 2 weeks! DO NOT COME HERE ! Wish I could give them negative stars!

I don't know what's going on with some of these other reviews... I would suggest ignoring them and giving it a try for yourself. I had a great experience getting a gel manicure here ($32). They check your temperature at the door, spray a disinfectant on the soles of your footwear, ensure clients use their provided hand sanitizer, and have you write down your contact information in case of any news of exposure to COVID-19. Lys Nail Spa is an affordable, local nail salon in Williamsburg. They have a wide range of nail polish shades and they get the job done. My nail stylist, CiCi, was polite and friendly. They also have a punch card you can get signed during each visit. After 10 visits, you can get 1 free manicure, eye brow appointment, or a 10 minute massage. Not a bad deal.

    The request.

Yes, as other reviews stated that this place is serene and minimalistic on fancy spa. You enter in quiet place from the busy Manhattan noise. Everyone is courteous from the moment of entry. This is definitely a great hidden spot among the high end stores and tourist attractions. My massage therapist asked the type of firmness and areas of focus. My muscles felt relieved. They have one bathroom for female locker room which is small so I can imagine the wait if there was more than two people waiting to be changed and go the bathroom. I went mid afternoon on Friday and it was fine. I will have to see how it is after 5PM on weekdays. I will be coming again as it was a great massage for the price I paid.

She set me up with some calming tea and brought me to a private changing area with a locker for my belongings. Everyone in the vicinity checked in to make sure I was doing ok. I was worried that because I had arrived late, I would eat up some of my massage time. No siree! They moved my massage to start when I was ready to begin. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? WELL - Lukkana made me feel immensely relaxed WHILE ALSO really working the tissue. What a novelty. She finished up with a scalp massage, which is truly the way to my heart. 11 out of 10. Would recommend. Thank you so much for making my day.

They have valet parking and we were able to check in and have parking covered due to reservations. They checked our ids and bags and then we left our shoes inside a locker. We headed up and there's 4 floors 4-7. We started off at 4 at the locked room and they are very strict about phone usage in the bathroom which i liked and thought Made sense for privacy but some people were texting and being told to put the phones away. After we put our things away we put our robes on and headed to check out the place. Everything is pretty spread out and nothing was really crowded. We enjoyed the pools especially more than the saunas and felt pretty relaxed. We didn't get food here but i did buy an orange juice which was $6 and good. The infinity pool here is beautiful and the view is amazing. The pools in the locker room are really nice and clean and so are the showers. I took a nice shower before we headed out. All the pool areas were crowded at 10am, so we couldn't even get in. The saunas were unusable because so many people were looking for a place to go that the doors kept opening every 15 seconds, preventing them from heating up properly. The quiet area with chairs was so crowded that people were using them like lounge chairs on a cruise ship, with one person holding a chair for six people's belongings. It just felt like a complete waste of money to pay for spa access. They are not trying to create a luxury spa experience, just 100% a cash grab. I booked a couples massage for my wife and me, and considering the $500+ price, I expected a luxury experience. We showed up 15 min early, as typically spas at this price point will offer tea, a relaxing environment, and go over where you'd like to focus your treatment before you begin. When we arrived, they told us to come back in 10 minutes, because we were too early. Then, when we arrived 5 minutes before our service, they still said they weren't ready for us to come back; it was a terrible start. I've had over a hundred massages over the past 10+ years, and at the 200$+ price point, this one was in the bottom 5 I've experienced. Just mediocre at best. To top it off, at the end, the masseuse hard-sold the oils/lotions they use, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I get a better massage at Bergen Spa in Brooklyn for $55, and given there was no high-end experience here, it's the same. I wouldn't come back even if they charged half of what they do. Horrible all around.

Fifteen minutes into our 90-minute couples deep tissue massage, I saw my husband's therapist, Lydia, typing on a lit smartphone while leaning over him. When she realized I saw her, she hid the phone under the sheets. There is no version of this that is acceptable. Texting during a paid massage is blatant misconduct. It didn't stop there. My husband repeatedly asked her to focus on his neck and shoulders and avoid his feet. His requests were ignored. The technique was lazy and mechanical - repetitive forearm circling with little to no pressure, despite requesting deep tissue. He left feeling like he didn't receive a massage at all. When we raised the issue, the owner acknowledged the behavior was "unacceptable" yet offered only a 25% discount - as if actively texting during a massage, ignoring repeated client requests, and delivering a substandard service were minor inconveniences. This wasn't just a bad massage. It was a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We will not be returning.
