    Look at the French tip
    Banice K.

Overpriced!!!! I paid $400 and tipped $50 after they pointed it out, for such a bad set. I'm going to have them removed immediately. The nail has no shape it is indented and the French tip looks like a toddler did it. Please don't go here. It's overpriced and the nail artists are so bad!!!!!!!! More on the experience. The set was rushed it felt like I was taking up their time and they wanted to get more customers so she didn't really care for my nails. The manicure was horrendous. She bit too much of my cuticles and I was bleeding on three fingers. Then she was annoyed when I'd tense my finger when the drill bit into my injured fingers. She never told me to wash my hands after the drill session and just lightly dusted and proceeded to paint over my bleeding nails. Overall this was just horrible. Please don't go here. Very Overpriced and they lack bare minimum techniques and artistry.

love this place! stumbled upon it while walking around in williamsburg wanting a pedicure. it's super clean, everyone is nice, and they even do hot stone with their foot massage with the pedicure. i picked the pedicure with a 10 min foot massage and added another 10 minute massage and it was well worth it especially after walking all over new york for a few days. they have nice massage chairs too and i love my pedicure. will definitely be back! lisa was my nail tech and she was very sweet! thanks lisa!

Enjoyed this nail salon - went for the first time today and I would come back. My usual place was closed due to renovations so decided to make an appointment for a French gel manicure. Was seated right away even though it was busy and was out within 25 minutes. It was $63 for a French gel mani which was a little pricey compared to what I'm used to but it was a great experience. The people who work here are nice and seem very sweet. Very clean place as well.

this resembles nothing of my nail shape

BE CAREFUL FOR INFECTION!! Don't be fooled by the rating on this salon! Genuinely the worst manicure I've ever seen and received. They were not only so warped and thick, but when I drilled them off, THEY WERE STILL WET. I know this is very dangerous and I'm so lucky the uncured gel didn't cause a reaction. DO NOT GO HERE

I love this place. Clean, great customer service. You get what you pay for. It's Williamsburg so it's pricey (I paid $170 + tip for removal of my old polish, new tips and a special flexible gel that creates the length). But these ladies really go the extra mile! Would recommend Kelly or Ella but everybody is amazing here honestly. I have never walked away with a manicure that I've not liked!

I waited 2.5 weeks to post this review. The reason for this was because I wanted to give my opinion not only on the service but the quality of the product I paid for.  upon arrival: i was asked to fill out a covid consent fom, give information for contact tracing. Then my temperature was taken, my phone was placed in a phone sanitizing machine, i was asked to use sanitizer, & finally seated. each seat is separated by clear dividers & one between client + nail technician as well. they used new papers placed on each station for each client as to not have direct contact with surfaces. all in all, phenomenal handling of the current situation we are living through.  my nail tech was very thorough with my nails. I asked for the cat eye gel polish or some people know it as "velvet nails." The process seemed to take a bit of time due to her drilling, filing, & buffing my nails before painting them. I'm not really sure why she didn't soak my nails or cut my cuticles, etc. When the process was finished, the polish was great.  now, pricing: my total was actually quite shocking. The total of the cat eye gel polish was $73. I have never paid more than $25 for gel polish so this was a little absurd to me for just gel polish. BUT WAIT: even though i found that the price seemed extremely high, my nails have never looked better. Along with how nice they looked, I felt super relaxed. The environment was very clean, quiet, and professional. You're not just paying for a service, you're paying for the experience as well. I wanted to wait 2.5 weeks to also give a review on the quality of the nails in that duration of time. I haven't had a single chip on any of the nails, they've just grown out which is normal! I've never had gel last more than 2 weeks so i'm actually so happy with the results.  If you're looking to spoil yourself, I say go for it! This is a great salon with friendly technicians.  I've included pictures of right after i got my nails done & one photo of my nails 2.5 weeks later.

The staff is incredibly nice. I was offered water or tea as soon as I sat down in the chair (and the tea was delicious)! I got a pedicure and they did a really good job. I have a messed up toenail that a lot of nail salons give me a hard time about, and they were very patient with taking care of it. It's a little pricy, but I guess that's Williamsburg in the 2020's.

    Red from previous manicure

Came in yesterday while visiting and the salon was very clean and was a nice pedicure. I got dip after they pushed me to get hard gel (which I have read in previous reviews). The woman who did my nails was overall nice, but she didn't fill her the red off from my previous nails and then this morning my nail had already cracked. Not worth the price in my opinion.

The waxes themselves are great and I have appreciated the staff and their technique. 1. I signed up for the Face Fix Membership. In the buying process, the Face Fix does not have a description of what it includes/excludes. I only discovered that it included 2 services/month when I tried to book a third service in the same month. Sure - ok maybe just a website issue... so I emailed them and have not heard back for a week+. But then, on top of that... 2. I canceled before my billing date (a day or two before), and for some reason, it's locking me into this membership until THE END OF SEPTEMBER - TWO months from now. I will obviously be disputing this with my credit card company, but it's pretty sus to me that it takes a month to "process by cancellation request." I've checked my confirmation email and there is nothing about a membership cancellation notice. There is also a "processing fee" of $15 to get your membership set up, which I accepted when I bought the membership. Anyways, my advice is to use the services at Uni Wax, but be very careful about what you're signing up for because they are employing some pretty sketchy practices.

Prior to this location, I was a customer at the location near Union Square for about 4 years but thankfully, the Williamsburg location is closer to my home so I switched. I started out going to Shivani who went out on maternity leave and recommended Emely so I have been going to her for over a year now. Emely is amazing! She's very good at her job but she's also friendly and attentive. I have made it clear that the products aren't the best for my skin so I only buy the body butter. As a result, she does not push me to purchase products which can be frustrating to constantly have products pushed on you. If Emely leaves, I'm going wherever she goes!

She is an overweight woman with short hair. My friend called me crying after being waxed by her. The first thing albina said to her when she walked in was "where are you from?" My friend is Palestinian, so when she said she was, albina continued for the entire session to proceed to say to my friend disgusting, terrible, uneducated opinions on politics and religion. She asked intrusive questions and argued with my friend, while my friend was spread eagle and vulnerable on the table getting waxed. This is another example of terrible, uneducated white Europeans and Americans that just think they can say whatever they've been reading their whole lives, with zero consequence. Palestinians are not responsible for the miss-education of white Europeans in this country. Albina also didn't provide any type of cooling or oil support after the wax, nor did she tweeze out any ingrown hairs, and didn't do a good job, proving this racist encounter further. Do not go to European wax center, there are a million other brown waxers in NY that won't make you cry, and actually do the job right. Albina, you deserve to be fired.
