But after I took the class with him, I can say one thing for sure, even five stars would fall short for someone like Ray.

Whew I just completed and gained the certification for passing the 6 week EMT course! (if any of…read morethe teachers/ staff see this, thank you for everything!) - The teachers were very supportive and willing to work with you individually to help you succeed. (For the first week, they kept on reminding us that we can go talk to them for help if we are struggling at all haha). - They encourage all students to ask question no matter how dumb you think that question is. As a person who is very detailed, I asked a lot of clarifying questions and I never felt uncomfortable doing so. - As most of the teachers are/ were experienced higher level EMTs (paramedic, fire fighter etc.), they shared many stories along with the lecture to make them more applicable to real life and engaging! - Students were very diverse in culture, age range, and goals. Some were students who just graduated high school and some were in their 30's! Some students' goals were becoming a nurse, firefighter, or doctor/ surgeon. It was fantastic getting to know each other's goals and stories :) - Note: 6 week course was quite demanding and required many hours of self-studying (to review or read ahead before we were given lectures). Every Wednesday was a day off so we were able to catch up and study whatever we needed. Don't worry though, it's not too bad if you study with others :) Final thoughts: 10/10 would recommend Tips: study anatomy and physiology beforehand (it helps a ton although is not required to succeed)

I like how they kept it clean and organized. You first wait in the break room and they have water dispenser with both hot and cold water. You may also help yourself to some fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and other snacks. It's a cozy break room with comfortable couches and chairs. The bathroom is also neat and clean. The staff is very welcoming and hospitable. I took the PALS class and Alex was my instructor. It's your standard class with book and videos but what I like about Alex was that she stopped each video to see if we have a questions and she also reviewed whatever information was pertinent to the video. Alex was patient and did not make us feel stupid at all. She encouraged us to remember the information and did not rush us to answer any questions. When I answered questions incorrectly, she politely corrected me. Another great perk about this place, it's near a lot of restaurants, both fast food and dine-in. I highly recommend The SG Center.

I signed up for an early Saturday BLS class that supposed to start at 8am. So I got there at on…read moretime and the door was still locked. So I waited for 5 minutes, and no one answered the door as I consistently knocked on the door. So I waited for another 10 minutes. I figured I'd give them 15 minutes before I called the office's number. I finally called and I was told that their computer some how did not receive my registration...but interestingly enough received my credit card payment lol. So I was told that the instructor (which I think is the owner) will be there at 9 am. So I tried to not be as upset and tried to make my day better by going to a local fast food and get myself come coffee and breakfast. Then I came back at 9 am, and I was greeted by the instructor and he told me that he was sorry that his computer in the office some how did not sync with the website registration. Then he said that he will give me 10% off for the inconvenience (which will show on my bill as a credit). So I accepted his apology and his discount. However, as I was about to begin to class, I realize that he is the only instructor there and he was instructing one other customer in a different room with a different class. So he was walking back and forth...back and forth. To his credit, he did a good job juggling the two classes and he was still able to teach me a few new things in my BLS classes. He then told me that he didn't have the manual book that I had purchased with my registration. Low and behold, about 2 hours in...his little daughter came in the office and brought him the manual book. I thought that was kinda funny. By the way, what made me to write this review and give it 3 stars is not the fact that they were late for an hour. It's not that they were not professional by having the whole family working rather employees. It''s not that there was only one instructor running back and forth and juggling the two classes simultaneously. But it's the fact that they didn't credit my 10% discount. I called him 3 weeks later and left a message, never received a return call from them. I checked my credit card, and haven't gotten the credit. So there you go.....
