After finishing the rounds I brought, I noticed my groupings were down and to the left. Since I had just installed a new optic, I thought it might not be zeroed correctly. On my way out, I decided to ask for some advice. Mike was extremely kind and took the time to ask a few questions to understand the issue. He then gave me about 36 rounds, told me to grab a new target, and said he'd meet me in a lane. Long story short, he spent 10-15 minutes helping to figure out the problem and got me shooting in the right direction ;) at no cost. I didn't expect that at all and couldn't be more grateful for his time. I also met Steven, the owner, who was just as friendly and took time to answer my questions about purchasing specific firearms. At no point did I feel like a burden. Thanks again for your time, I'll definitely be back, even with a 30-40 minute commute. It's worth it.

BEST CCW CLASS AVAILABLE! After 20 years of carrying…read morefirearms in various professions I can confidently say John's class is some of the most beneficial training I've had. Anyone can stand up there and teach the california mandated materials. John's class is set apart by the depth he goes into explaining the physical and psychological effects of a shooting. Through first hand experience he is able to walk you through what its actually like, being involved in a shooting, during and after the incident. Despite it clearly taking a toll on John, he continues to stand in front of his students and share his experience day after day. This alone is a testament to how much he cares about providing the best training possible. Nobody else is willing to recount their trauma like that for the benifit of their students. I truly believe that provides an element of training, that will make a huge difference in the event you are involved in a self defense action. You'll know better what to expect and be better prepared to deal with the real life costs successfully. John's class is entertaining and engaging which makes the mandated 8hrs fly by. I'm also a firearms instructor. I've certified more than 5000 law enforcement officers and attended many classes over the years. I say that only to give credibility when I tell you that John is one of the finest instructors I've come across. His ability to shift techniques as needed to bring each individual shooter up to exceed standards is rare. From first time shooters to very advanced, John has something to offer everyone. When I attend a class I'm happy if I can get that one useful nugget of info. John's classes usually offer several. Highly recommend!
