This is the second time taking this course and instruction. Same as the first time. Phenomenal training, friendly teaching and tons of great information. I've been shooting for the last 15 years. From the casual aspect, the super duper tactical aspect, and now just the conceal carry aspect. I also use to instruct my self part time back in the day. So my knowledge and view point of shooting is vast. And I still learned some new things from them. Good point of views and instruction from them that made me a better shooter. And more prepared for daily carry. Great groups of guys and girls teaching the classes. No filler, no bad info. No nonsense from guys who want to show people Hollywood moves that don't actually help. Very inviting to all types. Casual, older, younger. Tactical and new shooters. Men and women. Very well tailored and one of the better pistol courses I've taken. Highly recommend. Best out there! Gone every 2 years since they opened. Great team of instructors that teach the important safety details in the class and on the range. Easy online process to pay and register for a class. Get there early for seating, easy check in process. Don't park directly in front of the range or other businesses, park in the main open lot. They train for SB and Riv county ccw's. I liked the flow of the class and the different personalities teaching. The videos are helpful training and discussing new laws. I've had numerous CCW renewal trainings over the years in 2 Southern CA counties. Today's full 8 hour renewal session with R2B ranks the best of all. Suitable for every skill level, with expert training, thorough curriculum & perhaps most of all, clarity, compassion, real life scenarios, hands on instruction & patient, constructive development of areas needing correction & refinement. The comfort level, given the subject matter was beyond outstanding. It's a long day, as it should be to carry with responsibility, restraint, knowledge & awareness. But it went by in a flash because it was a perfect mix of classroom, range time, videos, questions & answers, etc. No small feat for the instructors who remained completely relatable & open to every kind of question, from their experiences, training & mistakes. It's big to admit mistakes because we all make them, even the best, which they are. But the icing on the cake was at the end of class when the instructors invited us to catch them whenever any of us may show up at the range & one or more of them happen to be there too, for additional one on one training to work out kinks, bad habits or weak spots. I originally qualified for my CCW at the Ben Clark Training Facility. It was a good class and I learned a lot, but compared to what I learned from Alex Chavez and his instructors, it was night and day difference.
