I've been shooting for the last 15 years. From the casual aspect, the super duper tactical aspect, and now just the conceal carry aspect. I also use to instruct my self part time back in the day. So my knowledge and view point of shooting is vast. And I still learned some new things from them. Good point of views and instruction from them that made me a better shooter. And more prepared for daily carry. Great groups of guys and girls teaching the classes. No filler, no bad info. No nonsense from guys who want to show people Hollywood moves that don't actually help. I liked that it was very hands on. One of the first things we learned was how to safely clear a pistol where our instructor Yesenia walked us all through the steps individually. After the in class portion, you head to the range, and later get your course certificate. If you don't have your FSC, you can take the test for that as well. I couldn't find anything on their website or business hours that stated this to prevented me from wasting my time or making it to another range that sticks to their posted business hours. Maybe designate some lanes when you post business hours open to the public but want to host private events... or update your hours/website.

After finishing the rounds I brought, I noticed my groupings were down and to the left. Since I had just installed a new optic, I thought it might not be zeroed correctly. On my way out, I decided to ask for some advice. Mike was extremely kind and took the time to ask a few questions to understand the issue. He then gave me about 36 rounds, told me to grab a new target, and said he'd meet me in a lane. Long story short, he spent 10-15 minutes helping to figure out the problem and got me shooting in the right direction ;) at no cost. I didn't expect that at all and couldn't be more grateful for his time. I also met Steven, the owner, who was just as friendly and took time to answer my questions about purchasing specific firearms. The two have teamed up for a course called Ruck Nav Shoot. I've always been a good range shot, but the training that I received at Neoteric Arms showed me that that doesn't mean a whole lot in an actual gunfight. Daniel is an amazingly thorough and detailed instructor. The Defensive/Survival Pistol course is perfect for everyone! From a person who has never shot before all the way up to competition shooters who want to add to their skill set. He begins the course with a detailed safety brief that left the whole group feeling confident that nothing would happen, as well as knowing that if something should happen everyone would be well taken care of. Daniel goes over the safe operation of your pistol platform, as well as how to behave and operate while handling firearms. Once it's time for the range to go hot, Daniel and his team make sure that everyone is operating at the same level, and they bring us up all to the same speed very quickly. Once everyone is up to speed on static range style shooting, we move right into dynamic multi-target shooting. Now that I have trained with Daniel and his team a number of times, I started setting up private classes for more advanced training, and Daniel is very accommodating. My most recent training included one friend who had trained with Neoteric once before, and two very novice shooters, one firing a brand new pistol for only the second time.
