What attracted me most was that the class was mostly Online. What started as me just trying to complete something to check a box, turned into an engaging training experience. Mr. Galletta has both a passion and a skill for teaching. Although it started as an online course, it felt like I was sitting in the classroom gaining the experience I needed. The real takeaway was that while dedicated practice is critical, knowing how to reset, adapt, and improve after a failure is what truly keeps you alive. John has literally decades of expertise with firearms. He is certified as Lead POST, DOJ, NRA, and CCW. When it comes to real-world self-defense, John speaks from firsthand survival. What takes true guts, however, is his willingness to recount the brutal reality of what followed. Coming from a law enforcement family, I know how dark these situations get and how rarely anyone is willing to speak about that kind of trauma. John voluntarily revisits that chapter simply so his students understand the full emotional, physical, and legal aftermath of a critical incident. Attended the Women Only Basic Pistol course today. It had been over a year since I had first handled a firearm and I wanted to feel more comfortable and knowledgeable before purchasing one of my own. The staff and instruction were amazing. I liked that it was very hands on. One of the first things we learned was how to safely clear a pistol where our instructor Yesenia walked us all through the steps individually. After the in class portion, you head to the range, and later get your course certificate. If you don't have your FSC, you can take the test for that as well. I'm very happy with the instruction I received and am looking forward to more classes and training here. read more

After allowing my CCW to expire (we were planning our 50th wedding anniversary at the time), I decided to get my CCW just in case we ended up with a new sheriff who was not 2A friendly. The online class was very good, all in all. I wish John would have repeated the questions asked from the class during the filming as we heard his answer and, at times, had no idea what the question was. There is no way to make the CA law review interesting but it is a necessary couple of hours of boredom. The videos, personal stories, and First Aid was excellent. Much better than a previous online class I'd taken. At the range for qualification, one of his assistants stayed with me through the qualifiying on three weapons. She had the patience of a saint as I was extremely nervous and was shooting a weapon I had just picked up from the gun store that morning. I highly, highly recommend the course. The staff here is amazing, I did my CCW renewal today, this is my fourth or fifth class I have taken here and I will go nowhere else. The instructor has military, and law enforcement training as well as 'training' law enforcement, also has first hand experience in a 'self defense shooting' which few or any instructors in the area can offer. I took the initial CCW training course this past weekend and all I can say is this was one of the best courses I've taken in a long time. Just attended the Riverside county renewal class. While the class was 8 hours, the lecture portion went quicker than I expected. The class was informative and was not just someone lecturing and putting you to sleep. While I was not excited about a full day class, in the end it was worth it.
