Ray taught about the various ways to put together your own med kit, how each item is used, demonstrated applying a tourniquet, properly packing and dressing a wound, applying a chest seal, and then he instructed us as we applied tourniquets to ourselves and others. We also learned about various techniques to securely move/drag a buddy to safety, if needed. We also packed a dummy wound with simulated blood flow. This part was extremely valuable because the simulated blood kept us aware of how to actually stop the flow with proper finger placement, using enough gauze, and finally applying enough pressure. The class gave me the information and training to now feel a lot more confident and competent in being able to properly stop a bleed with gauze and/or a tourniquet as well as even possibly continuing to defend myself or others in worst case scenarios. I plan to continue to learn more about medical and to keep practicing these skills. Even if you don't carry a firearm for work and/or CCW, I recommend at least taking his 4 hr stop the bleed course. It is vital information that can save a life whether that be from a training accident, traffic collision, a fall from hiking, etc...

My feeling is that this family owned business with which seems like at least 10 employees (including office staff) have unfortunately lost all care and concern for new Customers. I gave the 2 stars because I also bought my gun there the month prior. But even then I never felt appreciated. The whole staff, they wander around doing their own thing and completely ignore walk-ins. Got a question, take a #. Never again will I return to this store and I would not recommend them to anyone.

There was nothing but seriousness on the firing line. You can never have too much training! My husband and I went there on a regular old Wednesday. Who would have thought that we not only would have waited over 30 minutes still, but also NEVER been helped...yes, even on a Wed. There were two employees, but a couple of other employees came over to do something really quickly, but then quickly left without saying anything. It appeared that the two customers that the main two employees were helping were actually buying something, so OK, there's paperwork to fill out, etc. The horrendous part is...we're standing there for the entire 30+ minutes and NEITHER employee (nor the other two employees who cam over really quickly) ever said, "Thanks for waiting, someone will be with you as soon as we can", never one acknowledgement of our presence ever. It actually seemed like they were hoping we'd walk away, which we finally did. They all need to be fired for lack of customer serivce/people skills. I've been in my share of customer service jobs and I never, ever, ever would have never not acknowledged a customer who's obviously waiting. I finally kindly asked one of the other employees who was in/out quickly if someone was ever going to help us. He said something real quick as he's walking off, but of course he never came back. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire day. The Highlights: - Great Discounts: They offer a $10 discount for medical professionals. With a lot of Filipinos in the medical field who love exercising their Second Amendment rights, this was a massive hit with our group. - The Steel Gallery is a Must: We started in a private lane but lost some time setting up paper targets. Pro-tip: The ground is hard, so hammering stakes takes some effort, and definitely don't use PVC pipes if you are shooting shotguns! If coming on a weekend, go early morning. Moving over to the steel targets completely saved the day. There is nothing more satisfying than hearing that crisp **"PING!"** every time you land a hit. Family & Fellowship: While the guys had a great time, the ladies actually had an absolute blast. They took over the line shooting rifles, shotguns, and various pistols we brought along. A huge shoutout to the excellent Range Master at the steel target range who kept things safe and fun. It was a phenomenal day of solid bonding and making memories. Just finished up a day at Route 66... had a private bay and all…read more.. the reservation didn't have to be made too far in advance but was definitely worth planning for. check in was as smooth as smooth can be... everyone behind the counter was super attentive & and personable ... the RO's at the private bays were EXTREMELY accommodating... very patient and enthusiastic about everyone being their while keeping everyone safe...
