I went to Mille this morning at about 8:15. I was worried about waiting in line or getting a table because of previous reviews. However, it wasn't a problem at all and there was parking available right in front of the bakery. Having moved to Santa Fe a year ago, I had not visited yet. I ordered a Montecristo sandwich and an almond croissant. Both were excellent. The almond croissant had a large amount of beautiful almond filling. I also ordered an almond and peach galette ( I think, lol) and fruit tart to take home. A cappuccino topped it off. I would definitely recommend and will bring my future visiting friends. read more

Walked in with my friend and her baby, and immediately, we realized Mille wasn't going to work with the stroller. Patrons form a line to order, and signs on tables ask guests to order before settling into a table. Before we could give up and walk out, the owner/manager approached us at the Mille entrance with complete kindness, and he invited us to enter with the stroller to find seating before ordering. We were so surprised by his desire to accommodate the baby, and we accepted his generous offer, quickly finding a little corner table in the covered patio area at the back of the restaurant. Once the stroller was out of the way, I placed our orders, and we received our drinks quickly - a black hibiscus iced tea plus a creamy London Fog. Brunch followed shortly - croque Madame for me, veggie quiche for my friend, and a Nutella crepe to share. My taste of the quiche was super creamy, and the croque madame was as rich as expected. Crepe was lovely, though I wish they hadn't run out of eclairs, which are my favorite. We'll have to show up earlier next time - and there will be a next time! Thank you for the hospitality, Mille. This is a wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Santa Fe. The bakeries and pastries are wonderful and you simply cannot go wrong with any bakeries/pastries you choose. The place is popular, especially given very high quality of pastry products and the line is often a bit long (given so many locals/tourists stop by this place)...and simply..the place is one of the best pastry shops in Santa Fe. Parking is a little limited in their own parking lot and the shop is sort of crowded, but you can always park on a street outside (albeit some small parking fees). Overall, I really enjoyed the pastries here...although I think the drink (I got matcha latte...true, true, matcha latte isn't much of a western drink..so maybe I'm wrong to judge a restaurant by this drink) wasn't so much of my highlights. We've had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Mille a couple of times. Unfortunately, my husband has developed a gluten sensitivity, so I thought our Mille days were over. But I was wrong! I emailed to ask and Marcel told me not to worry. The galette Bretonne is made from buckwheat and several of the lunch entrees are also gluten-free. Huzzah! We split the galette Bretonne - a buckwheat crepe filled with ham and cheese and topped with a sunny side up egg. Savory and delicious! Next, we split the cassoulet - a duck confit leg quarter, Toulouse sausage, pork belly, and carrots nestled into a bed of white beans and herbs with a side of sourdough and French butter. Oh my word, it was fabulous! And I didn't have to share the sourdough, mwaaaahahahaha! read more

I will come back to change the stars if my next experience is different. The ambiance and baked goods were good enough to go back again. Food ranged from a 3.5 to 5. Five for the bread, desserts, salads, etc. Turkey sandwich was just ok. The deli edging on the turkey and flavor took away from how fresh the bread was. That was excellent. Brie could have been spread out evenly but I was able to fix that. Ambiance is a 5+. Counter person was a 5. So the big disappointment was the amount of service received for a restaurant that presents the options to prepay a tip of either 18, 20 or 25%. I'm sure somewhere there's an "other" option for tipping but I'm happy to tip so I don't look for it. My food was delivered to my table promptly but that was the extent of service besides the dirty plates being taken away after leaving. I think if you're going to require customers to stand in line to order and then be presumptive to offer 18-25% tipping options on the main check out screen, then you should have staff coming back to check on drinks and food. Perhaps check once to see if anyone needs a box for leftover? Any amount of service would have been nice. I forget how much they charge for ice tea but it's delivered with no sugar caddie and so full of ice that I finished it before my food arrived. I was about to ask the person who brought my food if they refilled or if I had to go back and order a new one but she dropped the food off while talking to someone else and walk away quickly. I think this may be a safer bet for coffee and a pastry and not a full lunch. Or maybe just take out. read more

Overall: Mille has been one of my favorite brunch experiences in New Mexico. The baked goods are excellent. Food: 5 My friend and I ordered Brunch for Two which includes baguettes with jam, 2 croissants (butter and chocolate), and 2 quiches. You are allowed to choose from any of mini jams available by the counter. The baguettes and croissants were excellent. We chose to try both the Quiche Lorraine and Quiche Florentine. Both were delicious but the crowd favorite was the Quiche Lorraine. The buckwheat crust for the Quiche Florentine is harder, but I enjoyed the silliness of the egg in it. We also got other pastries including an orange chocolate cinnamon roll that was delicious. The orange flavor was not overpowering. Service: 5 This is a casual eatery where you order at the counter and are given a table number for a server to bring your order. Food came out fairly quickly. I stopped by last month when the cassoulet was on the seasonal menu. I was so eager to eat it that I burned the roof of my mouth! Each component of the stew was tasty, but honestly I'm still thinking about that bread. Something about that bread lingers in the back of my head. I was hoping to get a pistachio wheel, but they were sold out so I went with a tart instead. It was a delicious tart and the perfect ending to my meal. I was visiting Santa Fe for the weekend and stopped in for brunch. I loved it so much I dragged my friends back first thing in the morning the day we left. Day 1 we ordered a savory crepe, Quiche Lorraine, a fruit tar, and jasmine tea. Everything was perfect. Day 2 we were on the run so I grabbed the savory croissant, which was warm, fresh from the oven, and then my favorite fruit tart and jasmine tea again. Fun place if you can find it. A little tricky to find the parking yard. Place was busy, but we found a parking spot and headed into France. Ordered the Brunch for two. Very intriguing at $30. Two slices quiche, two 6" French stick portions with jam and butter, two Croissants and two bowls of coffee. We split the quiches - Quiche Lorraine and Quiche Florentine. Both were delicious; light and fluffy, and generous portions. Never did get to eat the croissants. Too full with the other offerings. Will save them for tomorrow when we hit the road for AZ. We sat outside under a covered roof, temp was comfortable. Indoor and open air seating available. Orders are placed at the bakery counter and brought to the table. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend without any reservations. Thought the fare was very good value given the pricing structure in Santa Fe. Good sign was cougars and young eligibles being courted. Coffee: We ordered a machiatto but we definitely got a cappuccino - it was still good and we drank it. Americanos were solid (we got another to go). I had two crepes. The lemon juice one and the berry one. The lemon juice one was just ok. They went really light on the lemon flavor. The berry one was slightly better, but I think it would've been a lot better if it was actually stuffed inside. Several weeks ago, we were in Santa Fe for a vacation. We discovered this out of this world crepe and French bakery there. It was so good, that we ate there 3 times (it would have been five but they are closed Monday and Tuesdays). Mille is a lovely, little French place in a great location in Santa Fe. I love New Mexican cuisine but it's too heavy for breakfast so we stumbled upon this fantastic French place. We had different crepes (both sweet and savory), my husband had the French toast one morning and I had the quiche one day. It was ALL lick the plate delicious. Service is efficient and they have inside as well as outside dining. Not noisy but very popular and the baked goods!!! Oh yes! TLDR: delicious, a must stop! When we first arrived the line was long in the smaller dining room. However, the line was relatively quick and they had more seating in a covered outdoor area. Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot! I ordered fresh orange juice... because who can resist! it was obviously *actually* fresh squeezed and refreshing. I got the last they had since it wasn't a full glass they offered a refund! I instead swapped to also get a London Fog. Which was then promptly given to me warm and perfectly sweet. If you come with someone else decide ahead to get one savory and one sweet! My husband and I shared our meals making the perfect combo. The croque madame had a nice golden crust even with the egg on it. The sweet crepe was surprisingly filling with lots of cream and berries. No bite without both! We will definitely come back! I can't wait to go back! This place was super busy but worth the wait. The restaurant is a bit loud but it's super chill and casual. The duck confit I had was super duper delicious and just wonderful. I'll drive back from Albuquerque again for this. My hubby had the crepes with ham and brie. He said it's nothing to write home about. He also enjoyed some of my duck. Pro tip- from my husband- get two croissants or pastries to go. We ordered the Nutella Crepe with strawberries. My son would've liked more Nutella on it, but it looked like enough to me. My fiancé and I shared a Brunch for 2 with a side of fries for him. The quiches were good and a nice-sized portion. The croissants were crispy, flaky, layered goodness.
