We came here based on the Yelp reviews and it's fantastic! The outdoor area is just so pretty and peaceful. It's really great they also have artwork - inside and outside. We had the green chile. It was so delicious! Perfect little kick to it and tons of flavor. Stu is super friendly as is Segue (spell?). We will be back here to try other things for sure. Great, great lunch spot! read more

Absolutely epic Breakfast Burrito!! The most creative and delicious burrito, and I'm from San Diego, so I've had many burritos haha. The burrito's flour tortilla is so crispy, it's insane, convection oven baked with little salt crystals. The eggs are soft and fluffy, the bacon was thick and flavorful, the green hatch chile so tasty and enough in every bite, and it's cheesy-licious. You must go right now and eat this burrito!!! The staff are so nice too, they gave us samples of their soups (green chili stew was incredible!!, butternut squash was yummy with a little kick) and a treat for our dog. The outdoor patio is so relaxing with beautiful sculptures. The chef is expertly trained, you can tell with the quality of the food. Everyone seated around us seemed very happy with their soups, sandwiches and coffee drinks. A must visit in Santa Fe!! read more

Lucky me. On my visit to Canyon Road today, I had planned to lunch at Cafe Greco (whose website said they were open) which was closed. When asked for a lunch recommendation, a nearby gallery owner said, "We're going to send you somewhere much better - Cafe Canyon!". Sure enough, I had a delicious chicken salad croissant and Americano at Cafe Canyon on their quaint outdoor patio. Friendly proprietor, and good food at reasonable prices - and all on Canyon Road. read more

Great place to stop for lunch. Love the 3 sisters salad bowl. Great setting, friendly people, highly recommend. Today my friend and I were walking down canyon road at 4:15 and saw the door was open even though they close at 4. We just wanted drinks and the owner gave them to us on the house since he'd already shut down the till. How's that for friendly service. read more

After spending the morning at the Farmer's Artists Market and some of the galleries on Canyon Road, we stopped for drinks and some snacks at Cafe Canyon. This is our new favorite eatery on Canyon Road! The chef had previous lives working in fancy Calfornia restaurants and is now enjoying a quieter pace, whipping up DELICIOUS food for this down to earth, neighborhood cafe. She (literally) has great taste and we enjoyed the creamy tomato soup (so fresh, bright, and unique) and the warm winter salad. The charming owner came out to meet us and say hello and we felt thoroughly welcomed and pleased by our experience at the Cafe Canyon. We can't wait to go back! read more

What a hidden gem this cafe is. I had the breakfast burrito with potatoes, bacon, green chile, egg and cheese. It was phenomenal, possibly the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. My dining companion had the frittata which she also very much enjoyed. Plenty of outside seating, super dog friendly. Service from the gentlemen behind the counter was top notch. This was a lovely little locally owned coffee shop. The dirty chai latte was good,and the Mexican pizza was the best I've ever had. I love catching places soon after they open and having the opportunity to meet the owner. He was very nice and made all of the food and drinks personally. The interior was clean and decorated with local art, which was cool. I'd recommend getting a sign for parking, because where we parked next to the cafe looked like it was outside a residence. I'd also recommend laminating some menus for inside the cafe and getting reusable utensils and plates. These are tiny modifications, though, and overall, he's off to a great start. read more

I was hesitant with this place at first because I somehow automatically assumed that this was just one of those tiny places at a popular spot with overpriced food and drinks. However, time seemed to go by faster when you're exploring all the galleries on Canyon street and both my husband and I were hungry and wanted to sit down for a break, with other restaurant options closing on the day we're there, we decided to give this place a shot. We're wonderfully surprised by this place! The outdoor seatings are well organized, and we found a spot under the shade of a beautiful tree full of apricots. The owner is super kind and gives great suggestions on the menu items. We ordered a Turkey sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich, and this is THE BEST chicken salad I've ever had. I have to agree with the name on the menu - "famous chicken salad"! We also got lemonade, which is tasty and refreshing for a summer day after walking around for hours. The interior of the restaurant is well decorated too. I love the sign inside, which says this place is the "oasis of the canyon road" - cannot agree more. If you ever find yourself looking for a break or some food while exploring Canyon road, this will be a great choice! read more

So happy I found this spot after a great morning of shopping on Canyon Road. Phenomenal coffee, great grilled cheese and tomato soup, and most importantly, a wonderful owner. The inside of the restaurant is covered in gorgeous art and fits in perfectly on Canyon Road. The owner immediately made me feel like I was at home, and the old family recipe of tomato soup really solidified it! Can't wait to come back soon! read more

Well, there's no use gatekeeping because soon this hidden gem is going to be the go to spot not just on canyon road but in Santa Fe. The amazing owner Stu is so personable and kind, and that alone creates a uniquely lovely atmosphere. The setting indoor and out is gorgeous. The food is ridiculous. What amazing friendly staff! We needed a little something to carry us over until our dinner reservations and so happy we stumbled into this place. We chose the Green Chili Chicken Stew on special that day and a scoop of their Chicken Salad. A Cold Brew & Iced Tea topped off our stop. It was a lovely day to sit outside and relax after walking through many of the lovely galleries on Canyon Road. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you dropped by! Enjoy! read more

I bought a drink, a cinnamon roll to go, and got two tasters of their beers on tap. And then the server Air walked over and announced loudly at me explaining how it's a business, and getting those beer tasters was a crime, and he was going to get security, and he just went on and on, and his angry tone was so unpleasant and confrontational, that it ruined my night there. I left Cakes feeling so frustrated and disappointed by the way I was treated by that guy, that I dont feel comfortable going back.

Everything's well-lit and thoughtfully displayed. EVOKE is one of several galleries in the Railway district, and one of my two favorites. You can breeze through in just a few minutes if you're not a big fan of the current show, or take up to half an hour or so to really soak it in.

This is a great little Cafe that I happened upon during my morning walk. I highly recommend if you want something quick so you have time to visit all the galleries.
