We had coffee here every morning on a recent trip to Santa Fe and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their coffee was really tasty and always hot. The tea breads we tried (banana, cranberry, blueberry) were lovely. The service was extremely friendly and sitting at a table outside for 30 mins watching the world go by was a very pleasant way to start each morning. Recommended !! read more

Our favorite special flavor this summer has been the El Hefe. It's bold and rich and full of flavor. We tried the other two special flavors, too, but El Hefe won us over. The little stickers over the drink lid opening is just a fun touch. We also love this little hut, so cute, and the staff that works here. Service is always a great experience. read more

Love it! We first discovered this "kiosk" on St Michaels by accident! Looking, south of town, for a cup of coffee while running errands. I was astounded by the number of 5-star reviews for this shop & had to check it out. I was further astounded to find that the "shop" is a TINY kiosk in the middle of a parking lot, but, with all the great reviews, we tried it! We have been MANY TIMES & the services (at both locations) is superb. Cheerful, helpful young people (or you might also get the owner!) -- everyone seems to be SINCERE in wanting you to get exactly what you want. I like the honey lavender latte, but I'm working my way through their offerings, which seem to be endless. :) Burritos are HUGE (& ALL that we have tried are SPICY -- good for me; bad for my spouse.). :) We later discovered a second location that's an actual "shop", though still TINY, in downtown Santa Fe. Look for the COOL SKULL logo/sign! (They sell the COOL stickers & t-shirts -- EXCELLENT souvenirs from Santa Fe if you're visiting!) "For the love of coffee" is the motto here, and you can taste the love. I know I may be biased because they are like family but I really have seen the amount of love Dave (owner) puts into the coffee business and sharing it with families to bring you something amazing that's organic/fair trade farm-to-cup. Today I had the Lavender Latte, it's one of my favorite drinks combined with breve for that extra full taste and feel, I go with breve because it keeps me full longer. The beans are roasted perfect, shout out to wicked espresso I if you are looking for just the espresso to supercharge your day. But more-so there is double service with a drive-thru window on both sides, which reduces the wait time for the amazing-ness of that velvety gold going down your throat to the belly! I have been a barista myself for a few years now, so I would like to think I know good coffee haha! Not only that, but I'm originally from the east coast and have traveled around the country, trying different local coffeeshops. Agapao is definitely the best cup of coffee I've found in New Mexico and quite possibly anywhere. I always make sure to stop by and support when I can. Dave (owner) is amazing and has become way more than "our coffee guy", he's become a friend and like family! You can truly taste the love in the every sip of coffee, it honestly is the truth. There is a reason this place has 5/5 stars: it is hands down the best coffee/cafe in Santa Fe. Fast and very friendly service, interesting and complex coffee (variety of light roasts and dark roasts), fantastic breakfast burritos and pastries, just all around A+ establishment. #1 spot to go to. I have only purchased the whole espresso beans from here but they are exceptional quality and flavor. It's a plus that it's so easy to just drive up to the window and pay a $20 for 2 great bags of beans. I've tried all the other local roasters and Agapao is the best for my home grinder and brewer. A++, do recommend. Friendly service, too! read more

We stopped by yesterday morning on our way to catch our flight back home. I was so impressed with this place. The staff was extremely friendly and it just had a "happy" vibe. The owner was the barista for the morning and DANG...he makes the best latte in Santa Fe! However, it didn't seem very strong coffee-wise (I believe my latte had two shots of espresso?), so I had to come back like an hour later to get a second one to satisfy my caffeine needs. The breakfast/brunch options looked amazing and were reasonably priced, but during our stay we did not end up eating here...we simply ran out of time! The space is within a shared work building right off the street, walkable from where we were staying and close enough to walk to the Plaza. I enjoyed walking here on a few mornings and getting the feel of what it might be like to be a local in town, while scanning the many clothing and other types of shops along the way. Overall I'd recommend this coffee shop for friendly vibes and yummy coffee drinks...but next time I'd add an extra shot to my latte.

A great place to slow down, enjoy lunch, and experience some Santa Fe hospitality. We'd happily recommend it!

Once we were done tasting our wines and the food arrived, we had to ask a couple of times/people to remove the large glasses and apparatus they rested in from our table since there wasn't room for everything. The hummus and pita with hot honey and feta was pretty good, and our son loved his pasta dish from the kids menu, but that was the extent of the magic here. The paninis the rest of our party ordered were again, just ok. When I went to the restroom I was appalled. There was some really gross stuff sticking to the wall next to the toilet; I couldn't tell if it was barf or poop, but it really turned me off. Good thing we were already on our way out. The atmosphere is kind of a New Orleans vibe with a high ceiling and covered terrace upstairs with plants that you can see from the downstairs area. That was nice. The day before when I was walking around the Plaza, they had a big carafe of fruit-infused ice water outside the restaurant with plastic cups for people to help themselves to, and it was super refreshing. That was the best thing about this place.

The steak tenderloin stew was excellent, and I appreciated that the Christmas chile sauce was on the side so you could add it to taste. The meat was tender, the stew had a good flavor to it, and the chile sauce brought it to another level. My girlfriend loved the green chile pineapple sorbet. It had a lite chile flavor, and wasn't too sweet. The orange blossom tres leche cake was outstanding, with the cake and meringue cooked to perfection (both with great consistency), and the lowkey orange blossom flavor complimenting things very nicely. We ate at the bar, Ben the bartender was a great server. His notes on the dishes were informative and accurate, and he also recommended some places in and around Santa Fe for us to checkout... I've been hearing about Joseph's for some time, and on my most recent visit to Santa Fe finally visited for dinner. It was the meal of the trip. The restaurant itself has a charming neighborhoody feel with several rooms, wood beams, local art, and adequate spacing between tables (one of my pet peeves is the lack of privacy caused by tables too close together.) The food. Oh my. Food should not bring me this much pleasure... It's an award winner, so call ahead.

We used to love this in our neighborhood. But dave consistently hires very sketchy and increasingly scary thug types to work for him. The latest girl looked like had same clothes on for a week and short changed us 5.00. When we asked for it back she said "we appreciate tips" then claimed she hadn't short changed us. Dave did not respond to email or phone about it and clearly does not care how good customers are treated. The shack is getting worse and even scary. Spend your coffee money somewhere else. read more

However, it didn't seem very strong coffee-wise (I believe my latte had two shots of espresso?), so I had to come back like an hour later to get a second one to satisfy my caffeine needs. The breakfast/brunch options looked amazing and were reasonably priced, but during our stay we did not end up eating here...we simply ran out of time! The space is within a shared work building right off the street, walkable from where we were staying and close enough to walk to the Plaza. I enjoyed walking here on a few mornings and getting the feel of what it might be like to be a local in town, while scanning the many clothing and other types of shops along the way. Overall I'd recommend this coffee shop for friendly vibes and yummy coffee drinks...but next time I'd add an extra shot to my latte.
