Vibrant coffee shop with really good food. It was quiet until around 9am when it really picked up. There were some people getting work done, but there were also people chatting over brunch and a couple guys playing a board game. The coffee is great and the crostata I got was really sweet so it went perfectly with the coffee. The big upside is that the smaller tables have cushioned chairs which I've noticed is surprising hard to find in coffee shops. After sitting there for 4ish hours working, my butt really appreciated that cushioned chair. read more

The Organic Ethiopia had a mild taste as it was medium roast without the earthiness that can be tasted in some African coffees. They were roasted by Red Rock Roasters from New Mexico. This little coffee house has a comfortable vibe. The staff are delightful (and sometimes singing along to the music they play.) This is a refreshing break from big chain coffee shops. This is a solid coffee house.  Not spectacular, but solid.  I had my cortado, and it was a little heavy on the milk, but otherwise fine.  In making my wife's mocha, they did give good attention to getting the chocolate mixed in, which you don't always see.   This was the second coffee shop in NM where they sweep the ground flat in the portafilter, then kiss it with a tamper.  No tamping, just a polish.  Is that going to transform the coffee?  Probably not, but with coffee, it's such a complex drink that the more variables you control, the better drink you regularly get. read more
