Stopped in for a cup of coffee, it being a Cafe and all. Possibly the worst cup of coffee ever created by mankind.

I emailed to ask and Marcel told me not to worry. The galette Bretonne is made from buckwheat and several of the lunch entrees are also gluten-free. Huzzah! We split the galette Bretonne - a buckwheat crepe filled with ham and cheese and topped with a sunny side up egg. Savory and delicious! Next, we split the cassoulet - a duck confit leg quarter, Toulouse sausage, pork belly, and carrots nestled into a bed of white beans and herbs with a side of sourdough and French butter. Oh my word, it was fabulous! And I didn't have to share the sourdough, mwaaaahahahaha!

The place is popular, especially given very high quality of pastry products and the line is often a bit long (given so many locals/tourists stop by this place)...and simply..the place is one of the best pastry shops in Santa Fe. Parking is a little limited in their own parking lot and the shop is sort of crowded, but you can always park on a street outside (albeit some small parking fees). Overall, I really enjoyed the pastries here...although I think the drink (I got matcha latte...true, true, matcha latte isn't much of a western drink..so maybe I'm wrong to judge a restaurant by this drink) wasn't so much of my highlights. I would, definitely recommend this place for pastries for sure though!

I was expecting a savory dish, but it had a weird sweetness to it; maybe the tarragon? Maybe it's just me. The fish came out as a "fish" it mostly unprocessed, bones and all, maybe it still had its eyes. It was stuffed with a filling but the taste was not agreeable to me. It wasn't awful, just not good. I didn't finish it. Service: painfully slow. We sat at a table in the middle of the indoors room, but s-l-o-w. Mate kit: c'mon on now! For an Argentine restaurant you can do much better. First time they brought me the mate kit, but the bombilla (straw) had no filter. That means you drink the mate and you end up with leaves in your mouth and teeth. Not a good feeling. I asked for an additional bombilla, the server brought a very short bombilla. Hard to use. I have never seen or used such a short bombilla. I gave up. Nice ambience. Feels like an urban garden-café. Will not go back unless another friend wants to go there. Disappointed.

Located in a quieter part in the edge of downtown, parking is usually pretty easy to find on-Street, and it's a few steps over to shops. The outdoor patio is secluded and quiet, and the indoors offers plenty of seating in a historic setting that's bright and fresh. On the food side, Palacio cooks their red Chile for over 8 hours, making it in my opinion one of the best and most flavorful in Santa Fe. Most other places I get Christmas style, but here, the red Chile is just perfect. On this trip, we had a smothered breakfast burrito and enchiladas suizas. Both were perfectly cooked, served hot, and resulted in another visit of what we expected from Palacio - great food and friendly service in what had quickly become our favorite Santa Fe restaurant.

The Restaurant was not that busy but had a nice quiet vibe to it. Made for a very enjoyable lazy morning. Coffee was standard fare and very enjoyable to go with my breakfast. My dining companion went a more healthy route with granola and yogurt and said everything was very tasty

The chili was excellent came with a large side of rice and beans, lettuce, pico sour cream guacamole was absolutely delicious. Same as the salad I replaced the blue cheese with goat cheese and it was excellent. The dressing was so good and the fruit fresh. The margarita, perfect not too sweet not artificial tasting at all. Now, the tamale oh my goodness I've never had such a moist tamale maybe the best tamale I've ever had. The pupusa was delicious and they didn't skimp on the cabbage salad. I expected something different with the beef stew. It was much thinner and Brosier than I expected, but it had an absolutely delicious flavor and plenty of meat. I would definitely come back here and I would definitely recommend this to anybody

The server also failed to tell us that we could order only off of the one menu that fit the exact time of our visit, which happened to coincide with the time that they switch from offering lunch to the time they serve dinner. The cheeseburger was very tasty. The grilled salmon tacos were good but served with flavorless beans and bland rice. Not a place we'd refuse to visit again, but definitely not one we're eager to return to either.
