Food was excellent. Good service. Not very busy on a Saturday morning, but that was good.

So I have seen this place on my way to ski, and to visit some of the Jemez trails. It used to be closed at 2 or 3pm, which I was like bummer man. It has extended hours now and we decided to visit it after a lovely hike to mcauley springs. The place is super cute, i adore the decor. I love everything about that. However, my wife was highly disappointed in the service and attention from the cashier or food attendant. I mean, it was closer to three and he was a high schooler, what do you expect right? That killed her vibe, for the place. I thought the food was fairly good, the lemon tart and croissant was delicious. Absolutely loved it. The chips and sandwiches were good. There was alittle too much salt on my wifes sandwich, which I confirmed. We do like salt. It's a great place to swing by, but nothing to go out of the way. I believe we met or saw the manager of the place. He truly does care about it and works. He was cleaning tables, and putting things up. I would've made the schooler do that before he left. Friendly counter service. Chicken wrap was good. I enjoyed my pork schnitzel though it is served atop a sea of buttery sauce. Great lattes. Comfortable and tidy, spacious eating area. They had huge muffins for $3 and a fantastic looking chocolate cake, but we did not try the bakery items. read more

Great spot for pastries and coffee! We usually get the chicken tenders or chicken sandwich if we're feeling hungrier and it's always a solid choice. The employees are always energetic and helpful. It's cozy inside but can get a little loud during busy hours. read more

My high school BFF was excited to try this place as she had heard good things about it and wanted to take me somewhere different since I was in town. I ordered the turkey wrap and added green chile. This lunch special included chips and a cookie. My mom ordered a steak melt which came with chips and a cookie. My friend ordered the tortellini pasta in some type of pesto sauce I believe. Overall, the food was mediocre and nothing to rave about, so we were disappointed. Also, you have to order at the counter and the line can get super long and wrap around the tables (luckily we arrived before the lunch rush). The menu didn't have any breakfast items and just regular standard fare such as sandwiches, salads, etc. The service was not bad but they are busier than they can handle. We stopped while we were just on a drive around the state seeing the sites. There was a small but ample parking lot. It feels like you're entering through the back door because the front is fenced off for outside seating. Your menu is a sheet of paper with a list of items that you order when you walk in and then get a table. It seemed very peaceful. About a third of the tables were occupied. They also seemed constantly busy with a lot of take out orders. I got the beet salad which was tasty and a little out of the ordinary - nothing to write home about but definitely nothing wrong with it. My sister ordered a cheeseburger, sorry, The Big Cow Burger, and was happy with what she got. The restaurant was simply decorated. All-in-all it was a very pleasant experience. read more

Honestly 10/10 I came for a work trip and was looking for a good cafe. I decided to come to this one and got a latte and a scone, both super good. The location has good seating. I decided to try a different one the next day and totally regretted it. Returned back twice for a different type of scone and this time a dirty chai. They don't have matcha, but the drinks are good. Overall affordable and you'll get well attended. Last day I also got a breakfast sandwich, very good way to end a work trip. read more

The cafe was a good size, and the fig sandwich looked alluring on paper. However, the bread was terrible. I'm not even sure that it was bread since it tasted like a wrap. For this particular sandwich, any "bread" would do, but it has to be bread, and not a wrap, lavash or any other flat doughy carb. read more

It's a nice place, a little busier than they can handle, but good food. The food was delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. My main complaint was portion sizing. A sandwich with a few chips on the side wasn't enough. I shouldn't need to order two entrees to get enough food. A lesser complaint is that the staff seemed under-trained. The line was building out the door and thankfully a manager stepped in at the register and took over ordering when we were in line. read more

What a great find! Two doors down from my hotel, and I popped in because I noticed their patio. They welcomed my pup with open arms! They recommended the Steak Melt, so I said sure! This divine sandwich is Sautéed steak, mushrooms and onions topped with provolone on herb-buttered sourdough with a side of au jus. It was simply perfection. The bread was toasted just right, and meat was so tender. Leaving I was tempted by all the desserts they have displayed. I treated myself to carrot cake, and boy am I glad I indulged. Im telling ya, if you find yourself in White Rock during meal time, stay put! No need to travel to Los Alamos or Santa Fe, the Pig + Fig have it going on! read more

Pig and Fig is open for (early) dinner, too. It was open until 7 PM when we visited. The food was good, but not as yummy as the menu might suggest. Many of the sandwiches list a sourdough bun. However, for dinner and then for lunch the next day, the bun we got was a typical "store bought" hamburger bun. The french fries with my sandwich were noticeably peppered. Who peppers their fries?? We ordered the spinach quiche. The crust was excellent, but the rest was disappointed. The egg body was like scrambled egg with strands of spinach in it. There was a cheesy layer on top, but it was heavily salted and peppered, too. The butter croissant and almond croissant we bought were delightful. The croissants were flaky and buttery. I'd buy those from Pig and Fig any day. The staff were very kind and attentive. There was plenty of seating--small, intimate tables up to enough for a group lunch--available. An abundance of parking options. Oh, by the way, one of the waitresses looks exactly like the attractive and intelligent Ellen Muth. read more

We had just stepped off the shuttle from the Bandolier National Monument and were ravenous for some lunch and cool drinks. This cafe was across the street from the WhiteRock visitor Center and we decided to give it a go. The cafe ambience was surprisingly cute. We did get admonished by the lady at the counter for touching the water glasses she brought out for us, when we requested her for no ice - which was a bit odd. Regardless - we ordered the Wednesday special - chunks of pork stewed in chile with sour cream and blue corn tortilla chips, the grilled chicken with veggies (no mashed potatoes since they were out) and a grilled chicken salad. The food was exceptionally tasty and the service was pleasant. I would recommend this cafe as a stop to anyone coming off the Bandolier trails ravenous and thirsty!! read more

Your food is brought out to you and probably won't be hot despite their menu stating sandwiches are panini pressed. The Cuban was served cold and not toasted. I also had a salad with beets, strawberries and quinoa that was all piled on top of each other with dressing on the side. The fig balsamic was too intense for me and the grilled chicken I had added was cold and bland. Not only was the food meh, but the restaurant was filthy. We looooved the food here! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and the place was almost empty. The people who worked there was very friendly and the ambiance was very cute. I got the hot pig and fig sandwich with chips. The sandwich was really good! The chips were good too, I'm just not a big fan of chips on general. My pal got the crunchy salad, which she really liked. I ordered the Mushroom Mojito and it didn't taste that great. It was not fresh. The mint was bruised and not bright green. It didn't have that minty fragrance that makes a great mojito. Plus they used artificial lime juice or something other liquid that didn't make it taste fresh. My pigs + figs sandwich was so bland that I had to dip it in the tomato basil soup.
