We ordered their green chile chicken enchiladas, red chile beef enchiladas, calabacitas, street tacos, and more! Throughout dinner, many people came up to us and were thrilled with the food and expressed how tasty it was, even us from Northern New Mexico were incredibly impressed. Just the right spice level, everything was hot, and the service was amazing. If you are looking to cater a wedding in Northern New Mexico, we highly recommend La Fonda Del Sol. Thank you for making our night even more special.

Be careful if you sit at one of the picnic tables they are uneven. I ended up spilling beer on my husband. Oops. We ended up sharing the nachos and a beer. My husband paid so i am not sure of the price but i remember looking at the menu and thinking that the prices were reasonable. The nachos were a good size with plenty of toppings. We even commented they needed more chips which doesn't happen often. Service seemed to be good. You order at the counter and they bring you your food and drinks. We didn't have to wait long. If you are in the area definitely check it out.

The chunks were far too large for my tiny, corn tortillas. And the sauce tore those things to shreds. I ended up eating most of my meal with a fork. The beans and rice were par. I liked the fries, textured and crunchy. In hindsight, I should've ordered salsa or guacamole to go along with the tacos. And I wish I'd ordered a burrito instead-- or ask for the tortillas on the side. Portions were great. I got very full. And the beer made everything better. But, overall, the experience was a little below my expectations.

Crisp , this tortilla chips, nice taste to the salsa. I ordered the carne Adovado dinner, my husband got a burrito. That was some of the worst carne adovado for me. Seems like instead of marinating and slow cooking the pork, the pork was cooked and then put in a dish, sauce poured over and warmed up. It lacked rich , strong, taste and soft texture of long slow cooked pork. Service was good, it's still a lovely place. I hope it was an off day .

Horseman's Haven has all the ingredients of a perfect old-school Santa Fe breakfast spot:…read morecharmingly dated decor, counter seating, a great menu, excellent eggs, and salsa hot enough to rearrange your internal organs. Unfortunately, the charm started wearing off when I realized the entire building was coughing. Kitchen? Coughing. Staff? Coughing. Customers? Coughing. At one point it sounded less like a restaurant and more like the waiting room at urgent care during flu season. I generally prefer my breakfast without the ambient soundtrack of respiratory illness, particularly when some of the coughing is coming from the people preparing the food. Meanwhile, the AC was apparently set to "meat locker," so I froze my ass off while drinking coffee that immediately informed my colon we had somewhere else to be. Combine that with the nuclear salsa and I was suddenly operating under a very real deadline. Naturally, I walked outside to discover I had been completely parked in. And somehow my friend, who parked in a totally different spot, was ALSO parked in. So now two adults with increasingly urgent gastrointestinal situations are performing eight-point turns in the parking lot like we're taking the final exam at defensive driving school. The food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, good eggs can only carry an experience so far. If you go, bring a jacket, perhaps a KN95, know the location of the nearest bathroom, and for the love of God, park somewhere you cannot get boxed the fuck in.

We stumbled upon this place as it was near the hotel and the building at least had an interesting facade. But, definitely not the same ol' refried beans. For example, I had tacos with pig brains (tacos de cabeza) and my dad had tacos with toungue (lengua). The cabeza was not bad -- a little on the bland side, but the lengua was very good. Beans on the side were very good (beans seem to be the touchstone of quality for me lately) -- almost like a soup, and tasty. Overall, a very unique menu backed up by good quality food.
