From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly set the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. The rustic charm of the decor, combined with the lively buzz of happy diners, made it feel like a home away from home. I started with the Shrimp and Grits, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy, seasoned to perfection with a subtle kick that danced on my taste buds. The grits were creamy and rich, with just the right amount of buttery goodness, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more. Next up was the Fried Chicken and Waffle Jr. Plate, a true masterpiece. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned with a secret blend of spices that elevated it to new heights. The waffle was fluffy and golden, a perfect vessel for soaking up every drop of syrup. While I do wish they used Vermont maple syrup grade A, it was by no means a flaw, it only added to the charm of the dish. The Sweet Tea was the perfect accompaniment to my meal. It was refreshingly sweet, with a hint of lemon that brightened each sip and left a lingering taste of summer. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure every need was met with a smile. Their genuine hospitality added to the overall experience, making me feel like a valued guest. Frank's Chicken and Waffle is a culinary gem in Albuquerque, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal that will delight your senses and warm your soul.

The chili was excellent came with a large side of rice and beans, lettuce, pico sour cream guacamole was absolutely delicious. Same as the salad I replaced the blue cheese with goat cheese and it was excellent. The dressing was so good and the fruit fresh. The margarita, perfect not too sweet not artificial tasting at all. Now, the tamale oh my goodness I've never had such a moist tamale maybe the best tamale I've ever had. The pupusa was delicious and they didn't skimp on the cabbage salad. I expected something different with the beef stew. It was much thinner and Brosier than I expected, but it had an absolutely delicious flavor and plenty of meat. I would definitely come back here and I would definitely recommend this to anybody

The server also failed to tell us that we could order only off of the one menu that fit the exact time of our visit, which happened to coincide with the time that they switch from offering lunch to the time they serve dinner. The cheeseburger was very tasty. The grilled salmon tacos were good but served with flavorless beans and bland rice. Not a place we'd refuse to visit again, but definitely not one we're eager to return to either.

Both dishes were excellent, with lots of flavor, although each was slightly overcooked. As you can see from the photos, the portions are large. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely dine here again during our next trip to Santa Fe.

Rating 3.5, putting 3 since Yelp wont allow me to do half stars…read more We were staying in Santa Fe and were recommended to try this place by the concierge at our hotel. We thought we would give it a shot, and were pretty disappointed. We tried the Pork Belly, the Caesar salad, the chile relleno, the lamb shank, and the churros. Overall, the flavors just weren't there for me. The pork belly was tender and well cooked but was not that flavorful at all. It was also paired with a strawberry rhubarb tamal which I thought would be interesting but didn't pair well with the pork in my opinion. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and fell right off the bone. The sauce, beans, and green rice were good but somewhat muted in terms of flavor. I will say the hot sauce that is paired with it, was a nice touch. The churros were the redeeming factor for me and the reason for the 3.5 versus a 3. They were absolutely delish. The caramel and chocolate sauce were really good and the churros were even filled with a cinnamon sugar middle. The service was not on par with what I would expect from a highly regarded restaurant like this. For example, we waited over 20 mins for the churros after placing the order and were not offered dessert options until we asked for the menu. You could almost tell the server was annoyed with us even though we didn't do anything to warrant it. I hate to say this, but I likely wouldn't send anyone here if they are looking for a good meal in Santa Fe.
