Before we could give up and walk out, the owner/manager approached us at the Mille entrance with complete kindness, and he invited us to enter with the stroller to find seating before ordering. We were so surprised by his desire to accommodate the baby, and we accepted his generous offer, quickly finding a little corner table in the covered patio area at the back of the restaurant. Once the stroller was out of the way, I placed our orders, and we received our drinks quickly - a black hibiscus iced tea plus a creamy London Fog. Brunch followed shortly - croque Madame for me, veggie quiche for my friend, and a Nutella crepe to share. My taste of the quiche was super creamy, and the croque madame was as rich as expected. Crepe was lovely, though I wish they hadn't run out of eclairs, which are my favorite. We'll have to show up earlier next time - and there will be a next time! Thank you for the hospitality, Mille. The service was fast and thoughtful. Order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. We found a great shaded spot outside for the five of us with a view facing the bustling bakery inside. Many people brought their bikes or dogs (allowed outside only) and met up with friends to eat and chat. At one point a server brought out an order of bread that we did not order, but he left it with us anyway, free of charge. So glad we got to try Sage Bakehouse and I'd definitely visit several more times when in the area!

Everything else was delicious We want to mention that Jo was an excellent server, very friendly and attentive. My oh my did that hit the spot. The chicken enchilada was delicious. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The plate came with some posole, beans, and red and green sauce. We got to the restaurant at 4:30, which we thought would be plenty early enough. They were already packed with a line out the door. It took nearly 20 minutes just to reach the hostess stand and check in. One we did they told us it was a 25 minute wait. Fortunately by the time I waded through the crowds and got back to my group, I already got the text that our table was ready. The next part was chaotic at best. You had to wade back through the line of people still checking in to be seated. Once you got back to the hostess stand, it was every man for himself. There were so many people crowded in to the tiny space it was impossible to tell the people trying to get on the list from the people who had been called to their table. Groups of people were cutting to the front to get seated ahead of others who were already in line to get seated. The employees were not managing it well, instead of calling the name of the next person in line, they just seated the people in front, who as I already mentioned, may have just pushed their way ahead of people already waiting. We finally made to our table and were seated. I really appreciate our waiter, once we told him about our time crunch, he was on it. He got our orders in quickly and the food arrived quickly. He got everything perfect. When we finished he got the checks done fast and we made it out with plenty of time to spare. As far as the food is concerned, the majority of the group enjoyed their meal. One meal, a taco salad wasn't good. The chicken was dry and the fried tortilla bowl was tough and chewy, not crispy. The sopapillas were hot and delicious, served with honey butter and honey. Overall experience was very mixed, terrible check in, great waiter, mostly good food.
