Heard so much about this famous place which is always busy. Saturday lunch if go early enough you may not need to wait. It is pretty dim inside but spacious. The decor is nice. Food is a hybrid between bar food and restaurant food. Our waitress was amazing. My coworkers told me they kept going back because the food is so good. I've tried a few things and I thought the food is good but not in sure if I would keep going back for more. The short ribs Mac and cheese is very flavorful. The bun and bread come from Liv bread which is one of the best bakery period. It isn't cheap but you definitely get quality ingredient. It is also family friendly, you see a lot of families with young kids.

The truffle fries were good, caesar salad was ok, and the waygu burger wasn't as good as expected. The seared tuna appetizer was good, though, a good teriyaki sauce with it. Oysters they nicely split into two 3-piece iced servings for us, too, as we split a half dozen.

Always lively and busy deep into the night. Food is delicious. Drinks are great. Service is awesome!

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Millburn. Whenever I have decision fatigue on where to eat on a weekend, i can always count on Millburn Standard to serve good food without having to think about it. The menu is pretty "standard" American bar food, if you will (hehe) but also has a few dishes with a twist. The Blackened Shrimp & Corn Cakes is one of the most unique dishes I've ever had, a lot of different flavors but they work SO well together, and the sauce is incredible. It's a must try in my opinion. The burgers, tempura chicken, and truffle fries are all awesome as well. The quality of food is amazing, and i love their beer list as well. I get a Super Bock every time. The hosts are always smiling and friendly, and the service is consistently good. They always show sports games and i love the fire pits. Definitely should be your go-to dinner soot for any occasion.

Great spot in the Millburn area! This is a really cute town overall. We got here around 5pm and barely snagged a table. It is POPULAR and there are long waits. The food was pretty good! Wings, focaccia bread, typical bar food but great quality. The kids loved their Mac and cheese. The fish tacos were beautiful but a bit disappointing. Definitely needs hot sauce. It was crowded and busy so service could have been better but it's a solid spot if you're in the area.

We loved the food and ambiance at Millburn Standard! Our server was fantastic and very accommodating with our food allergies. The only downside was a table of 5 very loud children nearby whose adult companion didn't manage the noise level. The restaurant also did nothing to noise control. Despite that, we had a wonderful experience and will highly recommend it.

Came here for drinks and apps with a friend. Great place to stop by for a quick drink. The ambiance is very nice. Drinks were made well and had an aesthetic to them. On the pricey side. Great for a date night.

    Steak tacos - pretty good!!

Absolutely loved it!! The first time I visited, I ordered the steak tacos, which were super flavorful. A tad greasy but I still enjoyed them. On my second visit, I tried the blackened shrimp and corn cakes, and that dish alone inspired me to finally leave a review. Every ingredient was so vibrant and delightful, with flavors that complimented each other beautifully. The sweet corn cakes combined with the heat of the shrimp and the creamy avocado were perfect. The various textures made each bite even better. My friend also loved the american waygu burger. The place was pretty packed around 4:30 pm on a Saturday, but service was still pretty quick. Our waitress was also super sweet and attentive. Definitely one of the best dinners I've had in the area. Amazing spot!!

Great place to hangout with friends or having a cozy family dinner or date. Restaurant has an upscale, contemporary pub vibe with stylish, perhaps darker, modern decor and great service . Space is divided in 2 sections - casual bar side seating with lot of TVs, high tables , few booths and a dining section with booth and tables. We went on a Sunday eve for dinner and got seated right way in bar section. We ordered spicy margarita, Paloma fr drinks, spinach-artichoke dip, corn cakes for apps and black bean burger to share. Drinks and apps were great, burger was okay. Overall, a really good place to meet friends/family with great cocktails and nice food.

Chicken bites - a few pieces already eaten before I got a chance to take a photo

This place was ok. It has a modern sports bar vibe with giant TVs throughout the restaurant. The food was nicely presented but the flavors didn't all come together for me. I ordered the tempura chicken bites. The tempura breading didn't go well with the traditional chicken bites. The French onion soup was too salty. I also ordered the prime rib beef tacos. It has way too much cumin. The cumin spice overpowered everything.

So I've been here a million times and tend to get a burger, the tuna app, and other traditional things. Tonight, I decided to get a special, which I tend not to do. Glass noodles in a black bean sauce with chicken and veggies. Fantastic! Everything went perfectly and continued a streak of very solid meals

Our favorite local spot. The Cesar salad is unmatched, and I adore the wings. The value is so high, and the service is fabulous.

Steak was over cooked and for the price you would expect better. Ask for rare if you want medium rare as so on.

They menu has all of the Italian classics - pasta, meatballs, pizzas, salads, parms, etc. For an app we started with an order of two meatballs. These were absolutely massive, so flavorful and came with a large dollop of ricotta. We also tried some super cheesy rice balls which were chefs kiss. The chicken parm was pounded thin and delicious, and the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage came with a massive portion. Also an honorable mention for the bread basket which was overflowing with fresh and hot seasoned bread. Service was speedy and friendly, holiday decor was cute and there is a full bar. Millburn has an abundant amount of Italian restaurants, and I'm glad we didn't overlook Joey's!

The Garlic Knots are so delicious; the knots are so fluffy and soft though firm like chewing savory (more so texture wise) cotton candy that does not dissolve. With every bite, flavoring seems to improve, especially with the soft though thicker than thinner more savory than sweet tomatoe-ish sauce. From my order experience, the mozzarella after flavor lingers with the garlic after flavor for about 30 and 40 hours. Yum, though I prefer the garlic more so than the mozzarella, all quite tasty. The establishment accepts different forms of payment. The establishment connects with a neighboring eatery, by way of a mid way pass, and both establishments offer different selections. Between both establishments are a variety of eating options, though one may need to ask about where is suitable to eat between the two, if ordering between the two. Each separately offers distinct seating options.

They have plenty of pasta options for course 1, but for course 2 you can only get rice, potatoes or focaccia. I do wish they had some kind of green or salad option here. Pasta dishes are around the same price as the lunch special anyhow. The cacio e pepe was divine. Silky, creamy and perfectly al dente noodles. The lunch portion is perfectly sized too. That's why I was actually excited and hopeful to find a restaurant in Garwood that might offer a similar experience. Unfortunately, our first impression left a lot to be desired. We arrived without a reservation and were told by the maître d' that there would be at least a two-hour wait. While I understand that restaurants get busy, the way the information was delivered felt unnecessarily dismissive. We were then directed toward the bar, where we attempted to find a place to sit. Just as we were about to sit down, the owner told us that those seats had been reserved for someone else. We went back to speak with the maître d', but the interaction and attitude at that point were unpleasant enough that we decided to leave. To his credit, the owner ultimately offered us a table outside, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, by then, the overall experience had already left us feeling unwelcome, and we decided it wasn't worth staying. I'm sure the food may very well be excellent, and perhaps we simply caught the restaurant on an off night. But a great dining experience starts well before the food reaches the table. There are plenty of restaurants where I'm happy to spend my money, and I don't expect special treatment--just basic courtesy and hospitality. Hopefully others have a better experience, but based on ours, we won't be returning.
