Good place to grab a cocktail and a bite. We stopped in here to celebrate a birthday and were seated relatively quick (they don't accept reservations). It's a bit dark inside however certain areas of the table are well lit (hard to explain). We ordered a couple of apps - corned beef egg rolls (on specials menu) and naked wings...they were both quite tasty. For a meal we each different items. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was delicious. I did try the blackened shrimp and burger (a bit overcooked for my liking but good nonetheless). For dessert we had the bailey's crème brulee. I am wasn't a fan but dont take my word on it as I generally don't order that for dessert. They don't have a lot of options for dessert. The bartender did make a good old fashioned. Their beer selection was pretty good and they have rotating crafts. Our server was lovely and attentive. Overall a very good experience. Just wish their prices weren't so high. ENJOY! read more

Overall loved the ambience and vibe for a Friday night. Very lively and fun cocktail bar type vibe. Drinks were good but took a while since the bar was a bit backed up. Service at dinner was friendly and attentive. One of the apps we ordered was the philly cheesesteak sliders which only comes w/ 3 but the waitress suggested we add 1 more sandwich to it since we are a party of 4. I love those little suggestions like this that generally just make your meal not annoying. Overall quality of the food was good. Did wings, cheesesteak sliders, and focaccia all very good. For dinner ordered the short rib special which was $38. No complaints about the food, but it wasn't a $38 dish. $28 would have been more like it for the portion. Again during dinner drinks from the bar took a while but understandable given how busy they were and the types of drinks most ppl were ordering (cocktails that take forever to make). Overall I would repeat but maybe just for drinks and a burger. read more

Stopped at Millburn Standard when taking a walk outside with my family and my dog. It was one of the warmer winter days and they had some outdoor heaters so we took a seat outside. They were so kind to bring my dog a water bowl and the service was wonderful. We shared a cocktail that was sparkly and bright. The arancini was delicious and had more duck inside than I expected! We shared a salad that was the perfect size to share. All of our entrees were wonderful and my fig and Brie sandwich was so large that I took it home! I can't wait for it to warm up so I can bring my dog and family back to eat outside and enjoy beautiful Millburn while enjoying a nice meal together. read more

My boyfriend was leaving to go back to North Carolina and I wanted to have him get a feel of Millburn on a Sunday afternoon so I decided to take him to the Millburn Standard. Now I have only been here in the evenings and friends for drinks and food but unfortunately I had never tried the food when I was with them. This was my first time actually eating here. My waiter was so young and sweet. She was absolutely so pleasant and very attentive to us. We ordered a couple of summer drinks that were on the menu and they were so delicious. For appetizers, we had ordered the Standard Wings and Philly cheesesteak sliders. The wings were average nothing to great about them but the sliders were so delicious. It was different and I think what made the sliders great was the onions. My FAVE appetizer I think next time I would get that and fries. My boyfriend had ordered and regular burger which looked so good and I had ordered the CUBANO. I was NOT HAPPY WITH MY CUBANO. I have had Cubanos in my life time since it my favorite sandwich but this by far was the worst ever! I wouldn't recommend this and I would never order it again. I think they were trying to give it their own twist and it was just bad. I was so disappointed and I figured it would be rude to send it back so I sucked it up and ate it. I have always thought this place prices are way to high. Just because it's Millburn they charge high prices. The food wasn't that great and drinks were okay. HONESTLY, the only reason why I would go there is because the ambience is perfect on a nice sunny day and it a really nice place to go to with friends. I would just go for drinks. My boyfriend love the ambience and he liked his burger. At least someone got a good experience with food for their first time. Mine wasn't so much ‍. I give this place a 4 star for location, friendly service and ambience. read more

We came here after the seeing a show at papermill playhouse. This place doesn't take reservations, but we were able to get a tiny booth for two. All of the food we seem to order would lack flavor . The tempura chicken had no seasoning whatsoever, other than the batter. Dipping it in the sauces, didn't make it that much better. We ordered the Mexican street corn as a side, but sauce on top was anything, but what you would expect on a street in Mexico. The entire vibe was just off. We ordered the burger, which also was very lacking. Did they run out of seasoning that day? Even though it wasn't that busy for a Sunday, we also barely saw our waitress. Not sure we're gonna be coming back here. read more

The restaurant is nice inside. Greeted immediately when we walked in. My sister and friend already had been here so I knew the food would be good. I'm gluten free so I'm glad there were different options on the menu for me. For the app I got the filet mignon skewers and my main was a beacon cheese burger with no bun. I ordered both well done. The app was great. The burger was not. It was burnt and I didn't want to ask for a new one because we had waited a long time for the food. For dessert we got the strawberry banana foster which was also great. The waitress was attentive and nice. I would come back but I'd prefer a steak instead. read more

Great dinner! Service is always friendly and helpful. They gave us hot towels while we waited. It's the details for me. It was a 40 minute wait at peak dinner time for an outdoor table so we got to-go drinks from the bar while waiting. The white sangria was bomb! We had: Hibachi Appetizer Seared Sesame Tuna Salad Simple Salad with crispy chicken Grilled cheese and tomato soup All were so tasty! We love this restaurant! read more

The ambience was fabulous. The wine was cold and the black bean burrito was delicious. The service was great. My mom is a germ phobic and hates eating out of used by others and they made a great exception for her. We had a wonderful time. My daughter absolutely love the mac & cheese. read more

We had a tremendous meal last evening. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection with a delicious mushroom gravy. We also had the fish tacos with the mango salsa, delicious and fresh reasonably priced with a couple cocktails and even a cappuccino. Definitely make it a stop when you're near or take a drive it's worth it also speaking to the waitress she was very attentive and likes her job. She's been there a couple years management is wonderful. They treat their employees well. read more

Great food and service! Waiter was knowledgeable and validated gluten free items with kitchen.

A+ + + love this place and frequent often with small children. Service and food never disappoints

First time here. I've tried to come before, but they don't take reservations and the wait was just too long so we left. Came early, got seated right away. Ended up choosing a hightop in the bar area. The vibe of the place is definitely cool and they were decorated for the holidays so there was a cozy feel. off the bat I noticed that the cocktails were a bit pricey. I tried one of the holiday ones just to say I tried it pretty good. Still a little pricey. Other than that the food we got was really good by the end of our meal, you notice that the place was packed. Clearly, they have a good reputation and a lot of people come here. I would come back. read more

We arrived pretty late on a Saturday night and there was no availability for outdoor. We ended up sitting inside and love it. The decor is really cool, great vibe. We ordered drinks first and then looked at menu. We ordered the cauliflower and the tuna sashimi to start. Both were very delicious and a nice portion to share. Service was great, everyone was very attentive. The only downside was we were still eating our appetizers and the mains came out. So no time in between for a little breather. That's a bummer, not sure what the rush was since they are open late and their kitchen doesn't close until 11 PM and they are open until 2 AM. We ordered tacos and burger for entrees . The tacos were delicious, it came with a side of Brussels sprouts which I personally don't think they pair well at all. I do love Brussel sprouts but not with fish tacos. The meat was a little on the thin side and the fries were okay too. All and all we will come back, everything else was great! Had a fun time! read more

Went here for a work event for lunch. It was so good that we came back for dinner!! Highlight was the French dip and the nachos!!

Cocktails are beyond good and make for a cool and happening vibe. Wine list is decent but I recommend sticking with the libations.

Two things I need to call out first and foremost - 1. The very sweet and accommodating bar staff who switched one of the TVs onto the EPL Liverpool v Man United match so I could watch the second half and 2. Hot dang that signature Fall cocktail "The Hocus Pocus" - the very presence of Midori transported me to uni in the 90s. Bless. Otherwise this is a very dependable bar/grill type of venue with a fantastic house burger and a great vibe. Can't wait to return. read more

The place is great. I've had the prime rib tacos and are my fav The wings are meh not that great they looked very thin and just not worth ordering them next time. My drinks are hit or miss. I've been here 3x and this last time they weren't that great almost weak hardly any alcohol. The service was horrible. We ordered something on the side that TAKES 10 seconds. Took 15minutes. My friend ate his burger and they brought it out when he was done at that point what's the purpose of even bringing it out. Can be better but honestly this place is hit or miss otherwise I'd give it 5 stars read more

It was my first time here and I really enjoyed everything. The four Stars is largely due to the customer service. She was just the perfect mix of friendly and polite. The burrata also deserves 4 stars, resting like a plump frosting on the freshest and reddest tomato. Also, the gluten free chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was a delight without guilt. It won't make you feel bloated. I had the Faroe Island Salmon with wild rice and asparagus. All I can say is, my plate was wiped clean. I ordered the salmon to be well done, and some bits of the skin came crispy and I love that. I learned from a patient that the place just opened right before the peak of the pandemic, so I'm glad they have reopened safely. read more

Excellent! We don't venture to Millburn often but on our way back from the zoo we decided to stop here. They had the tables in the street closed off to accommodate more seating which is outstanding. The staff here was overwhelming nice. I know working in the service Industry you have to be cordial, but everyone here was just genuinely nice! Our waiter was wonderful with my daughter. Kind, made her laugh, brought her food out before ours. Those little things go a long way. Now let's talk about the food! The sliders, French dip and chicken tenders were all top notch! Huge portions. I'm honestly going to make it a point to come back here more often. Hopefully sooner than later this will all be over with and we can eat inside, but for now they have got it all figured out. read more

We stopped by on a sunday afternoon for diner. They have a really nice set up outdoors and we would have just as happy inside as it was clean and welcoming. The staff was exceeded expectations. We switched tables a couple to times due to a rambunctious tables of kiddos- and the staff did it blink twice and was very accommodating. Our server Brittany was awesome. She gave us great recommendations and friendly, attentive service. We got the buffalo wing and the crab cake entree. Everything was very good. The French fries were so so good!!! Great drink selection too. There are a lot of cute places to eat in the area. We are glad that we stopped here. read more

This review is based off take out only. They definitely have friendly and helpful staff. However, their wings did not match the reviews. I called wanting to place an order for wings and the girl told me they were running out and she had to checked. Few minutes later I was told they still had some... Was highly disappointed when I opened up my container. 12 wings for 16$ is NOT OKAY if the quality of my wings look like that (see picture). It was so small and barely any sauce on it. I really hope this place has someone check the quality of the food leaving the kitchen. Such a shame... probably won't be back. read more

Dammmm!!! where do I begin, I'll start with the staff the minute you walk in everyone's smiling taking care of you from the time you walk in till you leave.....Service is quick food came out quick and they where busy!!! It was a Saturday night !! The atmosphere is amazing as well it's a chill spot great decor, not to loud or crazy, a great place for a date or with family, there's hiking around that town so after words it's nice to sit down and relax . Their beer menu who ever made it good job!! You can grab a nice German beer or get a Miller with your wings. I got a Miller cuz that's what you have to do when you get some chicken wings . My friend and I got the Mushroom Swiss and the Standard burger very fresh high quality beef an the tomatoes damn they where good... The fries are small and crispy there like the fries you would get at Steak and Shake which are my favorite that's a mid western spot don't know if they have those in NJ but the fries please keep them that way !!!! The food was Fking delicious usually I'm hesitant about American pubs but god damit those wings where the best I've ever had and I'm a wing guy, (originally from Cleveland all we do is drink beer an eat wings) they where so crispy and the hot sauce they make is amazing it had so much flavor kudos to the chefs, there blue cheese is amazing too! "Attention to detail" the dishes looked great all the ingredients where super fresh!! If you get food to go they put the sauces in these fancy plastic secure containers so that the sauces don't go all over the place kudos to the management for that one . I noticed that today when I was warmin up my wings . The wings are organic an small and crispy just how they should be ! After working in restaurants for over 6 years I can tell who ever put this place together cares about his or her restaurant and the food and service they serve. An the name of the place should be how other restaurants do things this should be the "Standard". Ps please open in nyc so I don't to drive 45 minutes for wings . read more
