Great German restaurant in Lucerne. Loved the ambiance and the service. Great for groups.

The ambiance is beautiful, it is right on the lake with windows that open in the seating area. Services was quick and friendly. Food was great, as expected. We had the oven-egg in ham& cream which was good!

This cafe is absolutely incredible. I would go back in a heartbeat if I didn't live thousands of miles away haha! The food here is FRESH. There are several delicious options on the menu and we just couldn't decide on what exactly to get, so we chose a few of the options! We got the waffle, sausages with pretzel bun, potato/egg casserole, fresh orange juice, and then their homemade bread to go with it. Everything was delicious here. The bread bar was wonderful with a couple different breads made in house, as well as jams and whipped toppings as well. We tried two of their fruit jams and then tried their whipped Nutella. It was perfect. This is a DO NOT MISS restaurant in Luzern. What is more beautiful than enjoying a delicious breakfast on the river?

Pulled Mill 'Feuile - my wife ordered and loved it (not gluten-free)

Disclaimer: I have Celiac's and need gluten-free options so my ratings reflect that in the rating. My wife and I are from the U.S and had dinner here on a Monday night while on vacation. The restaurant is situated on the Reuss river and absolutely beautiful. We were running a little late, and they were very friendly in accommodating a slight delay in our reservation. The service was very friendly overall, but service is just slower than we are used to in the States. I ordered the Menu Mill 'Feuille (4-course menu) and it was all quite good and they made it all gluten-free. The "Duo of Lamb from Ennetbürgen" had couscous so they had to replace that with french fries, but overall it was very good. The meal started with a salad which was excellent then the Cress Soup w/ mushroom gnocchi which was also good. The lamb steak and sausage had great flavor and wasn't "gamey" at all like some lamb can end up. Finally the meal finished with the honey & rosemary parfait. The parfait itself was a little strange at first, but when mixed with the peaches and sauce it was quite good. My wife has the Pulled Mill 'Feuille lasagna and was very happy with her decision. She said it didn't have your normal cheese in the lasagna but was more on the side and worked out well. Overall we were very happy with our meal and experience. We will recommend to friends and family who visit the area!

Lovely little cafe! Great location, staff were very nice and helpful. Their homemade shandies were fantastic. I love ginger so I opted for their ginger shandy! We had walked past this cafe the day before in the late afternoon and saw outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the river. Can definitely see how great it would be to spend the afternoon having a drink and just taking in the city and the scenery. There were a lot of locals eating breakfast with us. Very kid friendly!

Great location. We had great seats. It was a challenge to get the waitstaff's attention. The cocktails were delicious. Loved the view of a old Town from the outdoor seating. We only had drinks but would consider going again for drinks and appetizers. I didn't care much for the mains on the menu.

Located in Old Town, Mill-Feuille boasts a beautiful view of the Reusse River. We recommend making reservations before your visit as the window seats are very popular. They also have cute outdoor seating to the left of the business if that's what you prefer and also seating in the front of the business with an amazing view! We recommend getting a drink here with good weather! Understand, europeans do small breakfasts. The options are limited compared to other countries. Service is polite and efficient. We ordered 2 eggs in a cup served with toast and the Mill-Feuille eggs with spinach and hollandaise sauce. Eggs in a cup were sous vied but I felt a little more runny than what I'm used to (eggslut). The Mill-Feuille eggs were bland. The hollandaise sauce enhanced the flavor but the spinach ratio was disproportionate in my partners opinion. They have salt and pepper on the table to adjust to taste but we think eggs are something that needs flavor.

Our favorite restaurant in Luzern! Good service, food, and vibes (there was even live music in the square outside with an acoustic band and a singer/drummer who did some songs in Catalan!). We were the most underdressed there but the staff didn't seem to mind. On the food, we got the flank steak and knusperli. Both were good and also both came with veggies! The flank steak was lean and tender; it came with tomatoes on the vine that were juicy, a sauté of zucchini/eggplant/peppers, and fries that were pretty good. The knusperli was a Swiss version of fish sticks (but so much better than just fish sticks). We also liked the Luzerner lager and Giselle spritz.

Lucerne is an extraordinarily beautiful city and Mill-Feuille is an amazing place to get some breakfast on the river. The food was expensive (like everything in Switzerland) but it was very delicious and my picky toddler loved her meal. I highly recommend this cute shop--get a window seat for a wonderful viewing experience.

Mill Feuille is a nice place in downtown Luzern. They have outdoor and indoor sitting. The view of the water is great and the food is delicious. Nice cold local beer for the warm weather. I think the menu changes from time to time for the main course I had a Knusperli assuming it was slices of trout but it was deep fried still delicious. The service was mediocre as we waited a long time for our parties order. They had lots of tables outside which threw off there service but eventually we got our meal and everyone was happy with either burgers or cordon bleu. I would definitely come back and try dinner or lunch with the nice view around Luzern.

Looks & feels like a local favorite. Stopped in with my family of picky-eaters & all had something they enjoyed from the menu.

The perfect spot to grab a coffee and a small bite to eat while in Lucerne. The server was friendly and the food and drinks were prompt and delicious!

Unbelievable views!! Bring cash for quick drinks at the bar. Credit card accepted at the restaurant. Waitresses were pretty fast. Almost every table was taken outdoors, but I managed to squeeze in. While there is indoor seating, its slightly dark and smelly inside (due to the cheese being cooked!), so do what the Europeans do and enjoy the outdoors! For food, I opted to try the Rosti florentine (rosti with spinach) and the small portion of the raclette. The raclette came out first and was so yummy. I mean, who doesn't like a plate of melted cheese with potatoes and pickles?! When a dish is mainly cheese, the quality of the cheese is paramount. I'm happy to report that the cheese Le Mazot uses is top-notch. Beware, even if you order the small portion of the raclette, it might as well be a meal within itself. Because by the time I got my rosti, I was stuffed! The rosti was pretty tasty and I was glad to have gotten it with spinach, as otherwise it's pretty dense with the shredded potatoes as a base. It was a nice dish to try, but if I only had to order one, I'd opt for the raclette. Service was good and the food was brought out at a nice pace. Le Mazot is a solid choice to get some Swiss staples without having to search too far.

We came into the restaurant around 9 pm and we were asked to be seated in the very end corner. I asked if we can move to the middle section but she declined without giving a reason and instead gave us a discriminating look. During our order the waiter kept deciding for us saying that we won't be able to finish our food when we ordered what we thought was reasonable. Basically the whole atmosphere made us felt uncomfortable. By the end of our meal which is around 10pm they started to clean up the restaurant, taking the trash bags out while the restaurant claims to close around 11:30pm and we saw a rat running around while we were eating. This is really unprofessional and kills the mood. Not recommended.
