Overall great experience with everything. Food, margs and service. I'll be back soon!

Went here for a business lunch. We had called ahead to make sure they could accommodate a group of 20 at noon on a Friday. We confirmed a few days before. It took literally an hour for food to come out. Perhaps they didn't have anything prepped for the day? This restaurant could probably seat 3x the number of people so they were clearly unprepared. The food was good but a couple people had to leave without eating because they had meetings. The prices are high btw, $6 for 1 chicken taco. I wish I didn't have to write this review but other potential patrons should know. Unsurprisingly I won't be coming back. read more

Friendly and attentive staff. Great atmosphere. Good margaritas. We just went for drinks. Next time we will have to try the food.

We got seated almost immediately when we arrived on a Saturday night. We had a huge party so their booth inside the restaurant was very convenient and comfy. The ambiance was relaxing. Not a lot going on that day. It was a bit confusing how 3 different people kept approaching our table to ask about our order and how we were doing. Regardless- super friendly staff. Besides that the food was okay---not horrible but not amazing either. read more

I had my dream smothered burrito today. It was the carnitas burrito smothered with green chile and cheese. A little smoky, a bit spicy. It really hit the right notes. The street corn appetizer was excellent too. Plus a good playlist with lots of oldies. This one's a keeper. read more

The food and service were very good. The margaritas were a little odd but some people might really like them. I had the enchiladas suiza and my wife had the Mexican hamburger. Both were excellent. The atmosphere was Mexican cafe on the noisy side. read more

Came 5pm, we were the first ones there. Can't speak about the parking situation as we walked here but it is right off h busy street if 6th, I think they have some spots in their own lot. Ordered queso as an app; it's a fair price for its size but it's such a large amount and frankly too much for two people. I wish they offered a smaller portion. Had some kick to it, slightly too watery for our preference and tasted fine enough. I got the enchiladas which were standard fare but I liked them. Partner got tacos which all tasted good as well. They have happy hour drinks, we both got modelo negras which were like 8 bucks each read more

I'm so confused by these raving reviews. It's hard to mess Mexican food up this badly. Our meal was borderline inedible. The carne asada taco had a strange sauce on it (carne asada tacos shouldn't even have sauce...), the carne asada plate was an incredibly tough piece of meat, the chicken fajita taco was... weird. The kid's quesadilla was good. I can confidently say that that was the worst Mexican food I've had. read more

this place is just what the neighborhood needed. mexican food on a sunday - what? really cute interior. solid drinks and dishes. we had red chile cheese enchiladas, highly recommend. their refried beans were fire, so much so, that we asked for some to go to eat with our leftovers. next time we will remember to try the tres leches! read more

Mila's is a welcome new addition to my neighborhood, which is regrettably a bit of a food desert where Mexican cuisine is concerned. The menu leans more towards gringo tastes than authentic Mexican. I visited during happy hour and opted for the very tasty house margarita. Over a decade ago this location was home to an excellent neighborhood humble Mexican spot called Los Troncos. Then it became Lime, good for drinking, not so much for eating. And then Uno Mas, a lackluster taco joint in a city rich with quality tacos. Mila's looks like it has to the potential to be the best offering here since Los Troncos. Things I liked... Service was excellent. The interior looks great. Lots of good outdoors seating. From my perch at the bar, I had a commanding view of all the action on the block, centered around Don's Club Tavern, but there's also lots of foot traffic from neighboring businesses. I ordered the pollo adovado, out of curiosity since I'd never seen chicken cooked in adovado before. It was not a typical adovado, my flattened chicken breast was cover with a thin sweet syrup rather than stewed in a paste. I have never contemplated adding sugar (common chef's cheat) to adovado, and I probably will not order this dish again. The accompanying pinto beans were delicious. The Mexican rice was so-so. The bartender asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas. I asked for corn but received both, and ended up paying extra for the corn. The corn tortillas were unusually paper thin and a bit oily, so likely made in-house. The flour tortillas were better, also a bit unusual, but had a good chew on them. Better than the corn. Next time I will try the carnitas, perhaps they will inspire me to upgrade my rating. But this is overall a nice new spot in the hood and I hope it has staying power. At the very least, I enjoyed the bar environment. read more

If you're in the mood for a good margarita, satisfying AND filling Mexican food then look no further. This place was empty on a weekend night for no reason. I ordered the Chicken Monterey and a couple skinny margaritas and they were delicious. Service was consistent but not over bearing. Service is excellent as are the cocktails. It is very clean and nicely decorated and the patio is a nice place to sit at.

This place is overpriced and underwhelming. They didn't have a main ingredient for the salad we ordered and didn't tell us. When we got the salad and found out, we asked about a discount. We would have ordered something else had we known and we were not asked if we wanted something else instead. We were not given any discount and instead were charged for a refill on chips for the queso without being told. Food was meh in general. We won't be coming back as there are too many better options nearby. read more

This new place in an old spot is a welcome replacement for the previous place. This was our first visit and it won't be the last for sure! The service is very good, and all of the staff is very friendly and engaging. The in house salsa is not to be missed, the perfect amount of heat and clearly made with fresh ingredients. Also the green chili is very good, not too spicy but far from bland. You'll love the the vibe and decor! Highly recommend this amazing new Cap Hill spot!!! read more

Amazing food and really great service. You can tell there's a lot of passion in the food here. Will definitely be back.

Mila's Cantina is much better than the previous occupant of the space. I really like two of their happy hour items: flautas and chili cheese fries. Their service staff are all great, too. It's a good place to hang by the bar, which has an indoor-outdoor set up and have a margarita. read more

Great food and drinks! Check this spot out! Will become a staple for us. Parking is limited but lots of street parking nearby

Mila's got off to a slow start but the word is slowly getting out that this place is worthy of a try with good results. The Guac is fantastic. I've thoroughly enjoyed the ceviche twice now and may have to go for a hat trick. Sat outside (dogs welcome, yay!) in the early evening and it was fine even being close to 6th. Service was a good as the food! And I got a good chuckle with their restroom sign! read more

Stopped here tonight for carnitas tacos and margaritas with a friend and was served by the owner. Got off menu items: a side of sour cream and a round of El Presedente margaritas. Bill for 4 cocktails and 4 tacos was $85 and worth it. We'll be back. read more

I ordered food for pick-up so I can't speak to the service or ambiance but it was good food so I do plan on coming back to dine in. I thought the pricing was affordable, especially for a la carts items. My favorite of everything we got was the carnitas taco, the meat was cooked perfectly. The pastor taco and enchiladas suizas and queso were also good. read more

Good happy hour! Had a tasty chicken quesadilla and a margarita for $20, will be coming back!

Milas is a so much better than the Uno Mas it replaced. The neighborhood's answer to our missing Bennie's. Give it a try. So delicious!

Food was okay. Margaritas tasted like Gatorade with no booze, service was unbearably slow. And they charge for chips & salsa.,

Finally an authentic Mexican restaurant in my neighborhood, with a bunch of garbage Mexican restaurants around FINALLY a Gem. Keep this one a secret as once the word gets out the place will be packed! Great food all around, the best Birria tacos in Colorado period. The staff and owners have always been friendly and prompt with greeting customers and making everyone feel welcome. Beer on tap and specialty drinks that are amazing.
