WAY too sweet... Nearly everything Was too sweet! It starts with their salsas and chips which are free, however full of sugar. The red "smokey salsa "Is just some ketchup-based product that is barely palatable. Their green salsa made with tomatillos, is like slurping down soda syrup... Tomatillos have a natural sweetness to them, so adding more sugar, or a agave, or whatever else they use is entirely uncalled for. I asked for a hotter salsa if they have one, since the two provided when we sat down was made for grandmothers & cheerleaders, And was provided with one that did have more kick! I was surprised that it did not have sugar, however it was made with some hint of celery, Which I have never experienced in a Mexican food or a salsa. Onto the entrées: I ordered the Friday lunch special which was a green chili chicken quesadilla. My wife ordered the other lunch special for the day, which was a chicken chimichanga. The portions were fine, but the sugar party continued! My green chili chicken quesadilla, unbeknownst to me, was filled with sweet sugary grilled onions. The first bite was okay. By the third or fourth bite I put my fork down, and said to my wife that the sweetness was nauseating. On a more positive note, her chimichanga was actually decent. There was a very, very mild sweet taste to it, but nothing compared to the sweet sugary sucker punch found on the rest of our items. This was actually our second time here, we thought we would give it another chance After a three-year hiatus from our first visit. That should tell you how memorable it was. We will not be going back. After looking through some of the other reviews posted here, their management would be wise to see how many complaints and comments there are regarding how sweet/sugary the food is. read more

Milagros offers some pretty unique Mexican fusion creations. We thoroughly enjoyed the ceviche lettuce wraps, BBQ rib enchiladas, and of course the queso appetizer. Service was great and quick. Will be back again. read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars. In general I would say the food is too sweet and a little bland. Very much a highly Caucasian take on Mexican food. We tried the green Chile chicken enchilada, sweet and "spicy" pork taco on a corn tortilla, and the beef chimichanga. We also got the queso at first but it was so nasty we had to send it back. It honestly tasted like dipping a chip into a hard Mac and cheese sauce. We switched it for guacamole which was average but not bad. The beef was by far the best meat. The others were dry and bland. Also other reviews are right that they charge more than the menu prices. Both entrees were $1 more each than what they said on the menu. I was not a fan of either of the salsas but my husband didn't mind the sweet tomatillo. I will say the place was extremely busy, so maybe the Utahns like that it isn't spicy? I would rather have some traditional Mexican. Given we still spent $50 for the 2 meals and guacamole I would prefer the far superior Sol Agave read more

I've had lunch and dinner at Milagro's several times and compared to the other Mexican restaurants around, it's not even a comparison. Their food has a very unique flavor that doesn't taste like something dumped out of a can. Not even close. The flavors are light and it's obvious that they use extremely fresh ingredients. I specifically have a special place in my heart for their onion ball and their shrimp tacos. I've seen other people say the food is expensive?! Compared to what? An 8 dollar lunch special that includes heaping portions of fresh every day food is more than reasonable. I'm the kind of person that's willing to pay a bit more for better quality but the food at Milagro's definitely falls into that category. The service I've experienced after eating there 6 times now has always been impeccable. Even at lunchtime when the place is packed, I've always been seated within 10 or 15 minutes. Completely reasonable IMO. More than half of the times I've gone in and been seated right away. Even when the place is busy, the waiters have been attentive and taken care of me. I even tried being vegetarian for a while and really appreciated that they had super delicious options without meat too. Definitely shows they're aware of people's specific food needs. I feel bad giving this place a bad review but it really isn't anything like the Mexican food I've eaten before (I'm from Texas). I think they just have a different cooking style but if that's the case, then that should be indicated in the name. It tastes a little more fruit based- their salsa is sweet, for instance. The service is very nice though. They got us a spicier salsa right away when we asked for it and boy was it spicy! I really don't like doing bad reviews but this place really does deserve a low one. I am a huge fan of Mexican food so I like trying lots of different restaurants to see if I can find an awesome one. I just wish I would have read the reviews for this place before I spent so much money for such blan food. First off the salsa was way too sweet that it was unbearable and I only ate one chip with it. Second I was craving some amazing Mexican nachos so that's what I ordered , for $14.00, which literally ended up being chips with melted cheese that I could have made at home even better for a fraction of the price. The food was awesome, the salsa is unique and wonderful. The service . . . felt rushed the whole time we were there, he was pushy. We felt pushed out the door. The quote from the waiter "is there anything else? We have people waiting." We were there just under and hour, which seems like that would be a normal amd reasonable amount of time. I was really excited to give my business to a local business - especially during this difficult time - also we have been here once and had an excellent experience. We admittedly put our order in late, 10 minutes before closing, but would have been okay if we were told that the kitchen was closed. Instead, the person on the phone said that the order time was just fine. We assured them we would be there by 8 o'clock anyway. I sent my father in law to pick up the food. He arrived at 7:57. My father in law left a generous tip for a take out order and proceeded to wait 20 minutes for the food to be ready. When the food was ready an employee brought it out to the car and made a very big deal about being held up and getting out 20 minutes late, even though we specified that the order time would be okay, AND left a generous tip to hopefully compensate for the inconvenience. The employee said something to the effect of, "dont do it again" and I can assure you we will not as we will not be returning. It is surely a shame as we really did like the food. read more

I love Milagros! We should come here even more than we do. The chili rellenos are my favorite with layers of flavors combined together in cheesy goodness. The salsas are tasty, and the servers refill them often with smiling faces and attentive service. Tonight we ate at the special "crows nest" table in the kitchen, which is always fun. Having owned a restaurant in the past ourselves, we have an especially strong appreciation for clean, organized kitchens with attentive workers. We'll be back again soon! Verdict: A+ read more

Prices are a bit high, and honestly the "Mexican food" is so Americanized that you're better off getting you some authentic Taco Bell. I grew up in Arizona and have eaten all over the world. (Traveled as much as 47 weeks in a year). I love Mexican food, and I love Milagros! The new beef fajita's are A1 quality. My wife and I have had them twice this week and will go again this weekend. I am usually partial to the "Barry's Pollo Fundido", but the Fajita's are drawing all of my attention right now! The owners and staff are awesome. The ribs are also amazing, as are the chicken enchiladas in green sauce. I personally like everything, but these are some of my favorites. Enjoy! read more

Oh Milagros!! I wanted to love your food. With a great name, some fun architecture and decor, a sink to wash your hands right out in the waiting area (a waiting area that wasn't full at all)... you have everything to win. But your food I can't get over it, it followed me all night and into mid morning(made my stomach really heavy). I will start by with the positives. The queso fundido was pretty good. And I liked the sweet green salsa. And the rest...well... The chili rellenos tasted moldy. While the fish tacos weren't horrible they weren't great, the corn tortillas were thick and too dry. To top it all off the price was a bit high about $13-16 per plate. If the food was totally delish I'd pay it happily with no regrets. Now, I had tried you once before several years ago... but I thought "why not give it another go maybe things aren't as I remember." It was ok. My kids had burritos (they weren't anything special), quesadilla which could have used a bit more cheese and taquitos that looked pretty good. My husband tried the chimichangas and said they weren't anything to write home about. My chicken in the chicken wraps was either way undercooked almost raw or had a lot of fat in them. It was hard to tell but chicken breast isn't supposed to feel like your biting into a steak. Either way I did not eat it. They dogs bring out chips and salsa the salsa was good. Don't really have anything positive to say about our experience here. Menu was pretty standard, nothing looked that good so I just went with cheese enchiladas with the red sauce, refried beans and Spanish's rice. There was nothing special about it, the sauce just tasted like spaghetti sauce and the beans weren't good. Waiter was worse than the food. Only gave a 5% tip because most of the meal my water was empty, he wasn't personable AT ALL and we all felt like he was trying to rush us out of there before we even finished eating. Lastly, the layout is not good. Luckily we were against the wall but the poor people in the middle row have to be walked past non stop. They constantly have waiters and other guests passing their chairs and they can't stretch out and be comfortable. I will never go here again to try and improve the rating. read more

Finally flavor! I won't lie, my spouse and I stopped in because of the "taco emergency? Call nine-Juan-Juan" banner outside made us laugh. But we were blown away by the flavor. The meat could stand on its own without of the rest of the taco fillings, but is delicious with them. The refried beans had a smoky flavor that we couldn't stop eating.
