Absolutely disgusting. The food was very greasy and it made me sick. I won't recommend going.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Alejandra in particular was amazing -- she made us feel right at home and took great care of us. The restaurant itself is spotless. You'd swear it was brand new. The booths are comfortable, the custom chairs are a nice touch, and it's clear the owners take real pride in the place. Everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The salsa and chips were on point -- perfectly seasoned and addictive. I tried pozole for the first time, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the hominy was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered her go-to Enchiladas Suizas and said they were very good -- she was impressed. I went with the Chile Verde Burrito and a beef taco. Both were tasty, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I left feeling full and happy. This is a proper, quality Mexican restaurant with great staff and amazing food. Places like this set the bar high -- other restaurants should definitely take notes! We'll be back soon.

RUN here. From the…read moresecond we walked in everything was on point. Greeted immediately, taken care of the entire time, water never empty. Service like this just makes the whole experience. The space is so cute. Clean, simple, pretty, and there is an upstairs private area that is such a vibe. Now the food. Wow. Queso fundido was insane. The jalapeños had the perfect kick and the homemade tortillas are hands down the best tortillas. I would go back just for those. Empanadas and tinga tostados were packed with flavor but listen to me... GET THE LAMB. It was unreal. And then dessert. The hibiscus poached pear with whipped cream. Light, unique, not too sweet, just perfect. Everything was beautifully plated. Every single thing felt intentional. 10 out of 10. Cannot wait to go back next time I am in Utah.

This is not an inexpensive restaurant. My favourite go to meal is anything Mexican. The chicken taco had no flavour at all. No spices nothing. One taco was dripping grease the other had no grease. The pork taco had a flavor. Good combination of ingredients that made it interesting The beef taco was gamey and tough. We kept chewing the beef, but the toughness won and we gave up. Pretty disappointed in the meal especially in relation to the price point of the meal.

Our service was great, we were seated immediately and our server was kind. She had her hands full being the only one on shift at the end of the night but did it gracefully. We loved the chips and salsa and liked our meals. Mine was huge! I was barely able to make a dent and had to take it home. The fry was good on the pepper and it was stuffed with cheese and meat. I got the onion ball which wasn't much to call home about, neither was the spicy rice. I wish I tried the beans instead. My husband was pleased with his dish and was able to finish it. We also shared the strawberry and regular horchata and they were delicious! We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

My last review could all be wrapped up when I asked for a Mexican hot sauce and they brought Tabasco. Everything was wrong. While the food is still geared to the local palate. It's lots of overly sweet food. Still, I found things that were pretty good. In the end, I can see why it's popular. It' doesn't really bring me to Mexico City or similar. I would not exclude coming back. They no longer have beer. That's important when dining out for me, but doesn't seem to hurt things here.

The chimichanga was especially disappointing. It looked and tasted just like a regular shredded beef burrito, with none of the crunch or crispness you would expect from something that's been fried. The crunchy tacos were rock hard, and the carne asada had absolutely no flavor. While the portions were generous, unfortunately, quantity didn't make up for the lack of quality. The service was just as disappointing as the food. No one at our table received a refill, even after asking, and all we wanted were refills of water. Our waitress seemed more interested in sitting in the back chatting than taking care of her customers. When it came time to check out, the person assisting us wasn't particularly friendly either. What made the poor service even more frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't very busy, so there really wasn't an excuse for the lack of basic customer service. Overall, the food was disappointing, the service was lacking, and the entire experience left a lot to be desired. Generous portions are great, but they don't make up for poorly prepared food and inattentive service. Sadly, based on our experience, I would recommend giving this place a miss.

The corn came with cotija on it and the salad was flavorful. The atmosphere was nice and they had a live band on the Friday night we went. My boyfriend said his chicken burrito was too cold but he didn't want to speak up about it. I think have a clearer menu would go a long way with saying the peach syrup is a peach chili and saying that the burrito is topped with sour cream, just a bit more clarity for allergies/food preferences. Overall we had a good time.
