This was probably the worst hibachi we ever went to . We do New Year's Eve every year at one in Pottstown but could not get reservations so we figured we would give it a try . The food was so mediocre here and not worth giving your money to this business. Ordered food to pick up, bourbon chicken, general tsos, and fried rice-- $30. I've been searching for a new Chinese experience within a half hour of my home. I referenced Yelp's reviews and decided to give this 4 star establishment a shot. I did takeout to try out the food. It could not have been much worse. Ok, to be fair, I have had worse but not in awhile. The wonton was edible but salty with a dark broth-- probably from a heavy handed condensed beef stock as a base. The wontons were thick, tasteless and a bit gummy. The entree I ordered was supposed to be a spicy shredded garlic pork and vegetables. Jeezus, there is no other word for it, this was a disgrace. The pork slices were all overcooked mushy chunks of fat with tiny amounts of meat attached. The brown sauce was thick, almost gelled and tasteless. The vegetables except for the celery which somehow maintained some crispness among the mushy deformed chunks of broccoli and mushrooms, were all typical too long on the steam table fare. When I called to inquire about how a restaurant could serve something so unappealing, the acting manager apologized, took my number, and promised me 20% off my next meal. That is a discount I'll never use. A refund was the only remedy for such an unpleasant experience but if this place serves meals like this on a regular basis, they could not AFFORD to do refunds. Perhaps it was the Sunday evening blues or a one time deal, but unless I can see a steam table in a Chinese restaurant, I don't want to eat from it. This was $11.00 wasted as I didn't/ couldn't eat the entree and only managed to finish the soup because I was hungry. Went there for lunch yesterday. It was terrible. For starters, the new male server was not very competent. Number one - Asked what the Paradise Chicken was and he did not know. Number two - Wanted a Yuengling Lager which was on the menu for $2.00. This is one of my favorite beers and when I got it, it was the light version which I did not want. I ordered shrimp and asparagus and got chicken instead of shrimp. When I asked the server what I ordered he said chicken. When I got the bill it was stated I ordered shrimp. When I got the check, it was the wrong one. Also my chicken was served 5 minutes before my wife's order was served, All in all, it was a bad experience. As bad as it was, I still left a tip but it was less than my normal tip. read more

Aside from the drinks and sushi... I thought the hibachi was just mediocre and the prices were way too high for the quality that we received. I've had way better at other local hibachi steakhouses for less money. The sushi was decent, but again, for the price it was not worth it. We ordered filet for our dinner and it was chewy and they didn't even ask how we wanted it cooked. The rice wasn't that great, pretty flavorless. The vegetables weren't cooked all the way. The service was also mediocre. I don't think we'd revisit this place again especially for how much money we spent on food and service we could get elsewhere for less. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. My friends and I went here for a hibachi dinner. The waitress we started with was nice. However other services were the worst I have ever experienced. We waited 30mins for our drink order to start. Then we waited 2 hours for them to even start the hibachi because they only have one chief that cooks the hibachi and the restaurant sushi station. They had two waitresses wait on us an hour into the dinner and the one that took our meal orders never put our order in so we had to wait even longer for the chief. They ended up having a kitchen cook make our rice which he left white and didn't season like they are suppose to be. When the chief finally cooked out meat he didn't cook enough to fill everyone's orders and gave people food they didn't order instead. And the chief was taking shots from the bar the whole time he was cooking for us. Not to mention our salad and soup that you get at the beginning of your hibachi dinner came towards the end of the hibachi. And they finally brought out our appetizers as we were ready to leave. When we went to pay our bill they had issues figuring out who ordered what because the two waitresses that took our orders did not put them in the same computers and the systems are not connected apparently. Over all this was the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. An hour dinner turned into a almost three hour dinner and the food wasnt even good. read more

Nice lunch buffet, but, I arrived later than usual 1:15 PM. Buffet was depleted. I asked if they could refill the missing items since I was paying for a full buffet. It never happened. I asked for the manager and explained that the buffet was offered to 2PM and that the last person should have the same food choices as the first. His reply was "After 1 PM not much customers don't want to waste food". I suggested that because the buffet looked like it did maybe this was the reason "not much customers". If I could give 0 stars I would. Our order was completely disappointing. We ordered a bunch of sushi and Chinese that had tasted terrible. We called about it and had the worse customer sevice. Honesty, I hate writing bad reviews, but this place had me upset. My fiance and I got food ordered to our home with nothing right that we ordered. We called to let someone know so other people would not have the same bad experience. The lady on the phone was as rude as can be and after trying to demand our money back she said she couldn't because no manager was in. There service and food quality made me sick and I love sushi. If they would treat people with dignity and have a bad order and refund it would have been okay. The fact that no one would take responsibility was sad. I just think when you have a business and a customer is not happy or satisfied you should give them there money back. Nothing about this place makes me ever want to give them a dime after my experience. read more

Just ate lunch here and was not impressed. The sushi rolls were very small. The eel roll had way too much sauce on it. Ordered the pad thai and it was easily the worst I've had. Clean, great atmosphere and very good Japanese and Chinese dishes. Not your typical Chinese restaurant. Very unassuming from the outside, as it is nestled in an obscure strip center, but when you walk in, you are taken back by the granite top bar, wooden flooring and the progressive lighting. I have introduced/recommended to friends, family and clients and all have raved about it after experiencing. Great lunch specials at very reasonable prices and if you want to blow your palette away...ordering the CINDY ROLL is a MUST! One bite and you are in heaven! Based on reviews, we decided to try this restaurant and ordered take out. The food was almost inedible; in fact some of it was inedible. The spring rolls were so doughy that there was hardly any filling. The meat in the moo shu pork was full of fat. When we opened the container of the special seafood the fishy smell was overwhelming. I tried to eat the vegetables, but they tasted fishy and there was absolutely no seasoning in the dish. I threw the whole thing out. HORRIBLE Service!!! Very rude wait staff. We were sat at a DIRTY table, which was not cleaned for 20 minutes. When I say DIRTY I mean DIRTY dishes were still on the table. They ran out of silverware and forced my family ( including my young children ) to eat with chopsticks. Love, Love Love the sushi, not only does it taste great, but it also is extremely pleasant to the eyes, great presentation. I was really excited to try this place (especially once I saw they had sweet potato sushi - my all time favorite) but they simply can't stand up next to the sushi I have consumed at other establishments. We decided to try this place for lunch last week, as we were in West Reading on a MONDAY & almost everything is closed! We had a great first experience when ordering sushi roll & Thai meals. (With my husband receiving Chinese hot & sour soup "on the house"). We enjoyed lunch so much, we came back tonight, on a Saturday eve. We had another great meal and experience. We met "Li" (Jack) at lunch & tonight @ dinner....either manager and/or owner. He's so friendly & accommodating. Try the place for a great variety of Asian food. 1st and last time I ate here, one of my worst experience at a hibachi. Wait for around 30 minutes on the table for the food to get kids size dinner, my steak was over cook and for refill my drink almost have to chase the waitress while talking to the others on the table they weren't happy about it. I also notice the chef have the slip on top of the rice. We were 3 and I don't think it was worth $93.00 take your business somewhere else this wasn't worth it. My wife and I thought we would try this restaurant after seeing the announcement it the local paper about its expansion and improvement. We arrived at 1:20 in the afternoon for lunch at the buffet. The buffet is in a separate room to the side of the main dining room. The buffet was small, most of the trays were almost empty, and the food was lukewarm. While we were there, the trays were not refilled. The quality of the food, considering it was lukewarm was fair. We were charged $2 for 2 mugs of tea. They did no even offer water. We both have the impression that management is trying to get you to eat at the more expensive regular dining room and the buffet is an afterthought. We will not be going back. read more
