    Egg fried rice

The food is incredible!! Absolutely a place that doesn't get enough praise. Big portions so either be ready to share or leave with plenty leftovers. Their kimchi fried rice is incredible and so is their sesame chicken.

We went Friday evening 5pm. No one else was there the whole time. The staff was very friendly. It is BYOB. There is no sushi as the sushi chef quit. Was disappointed no beer or sushi. The menu is extensive with Korean & Chinese dishes. It's was $40+ for sweet & sour shrimp. The plate was ginormous. Could feed a group. The sauce was perfect. The shrimp were XL jumbo large with tail on. The breading was too thick it had wet doughy inside. If they used a smaller shrimp with tail off would have been much better taste wise & easier to eat. The combination fried rice was nice. The ribeye steak came out on a sizzling platter & was perfect. Next day the Shrimp cut up mixed with the fried rice was good :).

Very large portions ! Best to come with a large party to eat family style. Everything was good.

The food here is made family style so definitely a great to eat with a larger party. The combination plate I believe has 2 options and is available at lunch only. Sushi rolls also very large. The menu has korean, Chinese, Japanese and local. Something for everyone even the kids loved the chicken nuggets and french fries. The crispy pork was extra crispy just how I like it! The kimchi fried rice could have used some spice but it was still good. Service was quick and efficient our waitress was pleasant. The ambience of this place is small plain and in an older building with a family friendly vibe. We will be back with friends for dinner one night.

Miko's Cuisine is a popular place on Maui for the locals. It is such a hidden gem at the Wailuku Industrial Park (next to Sam Sato's). At Miko's you can find an array of cuisines such as Korean, Japanese, and local food. It's a great place to eat good food, be with good company, and have amazing service. Shoutout to Sonny and Chas as they were such kind souls and really made the experience amazing because of their service. Thank you!! Highly recommend the Galbi Jim, it's a savory dish with fall off the bone short ribs. It is served family style and could feed 2-4 people.

Miko's is quite the hidden gem located next door to Sam Sato's (I pass it each time I check if Sam's is busy)! It has been YEARS since I last dined here and I am impressed with how much things changed. The parking lot was deceiving as it was PACKED, but upon entry, there were a few open tables. I was immediately greeted by a server who offered various options for my group (3 children & 6 adults) to dine. The staff assisted in arranging for a high chair and booster seats for the kids and immediately took our drink orders. Our server was busy with other tables (there were 3, no more than 4 employees working front of house), but he tended to our needs and responsive when we called for him between tables. Food and menu wise, I'm impressed with the wide variety of food and drink they had to offer. There really was something for everyone! I was surprised that they only had OJ or cranberry juice listed on the menu, however, when asked, our server was able to provide apple juice! Several food items were sold out, unfortunately (see tips below), but overall, we were able to get items we wanted. We ordered: shrimp fried rice, lemon chicken, gyoza, the boat, a sushi roll (can't recall, sorry!), and a noodle dish. Each were delicious, family style portions that filled us up! During our meal, we had the pleasure of experiencing a few birthdays! My group and I LOVED the celebration; the Happy Birthday song on speaker, tambourines, clapping, and dessert! We're definitely coming back to celebrate the next birthday! Tips from the manager: check out their Instagram, @_mikoscuisine ! There you can browse the menu, and they plan to use the platform to update customers on items that may be unavailable. They also advise calling ahead for any party size to ensure you have a table at your time preference. They encouraged us to also include choice options for food when we call ahead so that it can be ready to serve upon arrival. Definitely can't wait to celebrate a birthday and try more menu items with the awesome staff at Miko's soon!

Food quality has decreased since last visit, but the kal bi was still good. No panchan which was a let down. Service was good, Friendly. Apparently new owners

Came here for a dinner date with my other half and we just love it here so much! It is tucked away in the industrial area of Wailuku and is for sure a true local spot for good eats at affordable prices. Their service is awesome, I always come here with my family and they're always welcoming and friendly. Their booths I feel are pretty small, four people to a booth is like the max to me before we run out of table space (either that or we just order way too much food). They start off with banchan, a couple of side dishes to get the palate going for what's to come! If you want more banchan they are more than happy to give you more if you ask. We started off with the gyoza which was good. 7/10 for me, it was hot, crunchy, and lots of pieces in one order. Then we got sushi, it was pretty big, good to share with two people. Sushi was a 8/10 for me. Their sizzling rib eye steak literally came out sizzling on a bed of veggies with a tomato on the side, 10/10 for me! Their Kalbi is also really awesome, just didn't get it tonight. Will I be coming back again? For sure! Also, they do check for vaccination cards.

Service was excellent as well is galbi. However the prices are high and the pork katsu was dry. It was empty at 11:30 and has good AC but I think we won't come back. The tempura udon was tasty and offered vegetables so recommend that!

    Maria K.

We had a great experience having lunch at Miko's. We ordered the gyosa, crispy chicken and garlic fried rice. The only thing was the fried rice took longer to come out. I was already getting full before it came. The portions are large so we had plenty of food to take home. Our server was very good and very nice. We will be back to try the sushi boat because another table ordered it and it looked

It's definitely on the pricier side but there is literally no other soon tofu soup options so it's still cheaper than flying off island when a craving hits. The service was great! Aunty was literally like one of my my aunties. We showed up at 12p with a reservation but there were only 2 other parties but it was also a Monday so it worked out. The food was very tasty. Never tried cold noodle soup but that tricked my mind like crazy. The broth looked clear and flavorless but it was so delicious. I really enjoyed that with the chewy noodles. The La Kalbi made me see the birth of the universe. That thing was ridiculous. I'm still dreaming about it. I've never had Kalbi so soft and disintegrated before even chewing. We also tried the vegetable stir-fry with shrimp because my wife wanted to balance out all the meats but I'm not a vegetable guy. It was still tasty. The reason for coming was to try the tofu soup but we didn't even try that so we'll have to come back. I wanted to knock the rating down for pricing but I can choose whether I go here or not and I know the cost of doing business is crazy especially hawaii. overall, we had a great experience and the leftovers fed us for 2.5 days after our visit.

The quick service and constant smile were consistent throughout our meal. I ordered the pork belly and hubby ordered the fish stew, made with black cod, also known as butterfish. The banchan (automatic side dishes) were individual bites of flavors, some salty, some mild. The peanut? sauce which came with the lettuce for the pork belly are an absolute necessity as the pork belly was well cooked but had no remarkable flavor on its own. Together? Quite delicious. My pork belly's thin slices did not match the images on the menu or the wall. Hm. Romaine lettuce is not ideal for wrapping but it was clean and fresh. The onions beneath the pork belly were lightly sauteed, remaining crisp, and could be a bit undercooked for some people. I enjoy onions so it's no matter to me. Our two entrees could have fed four people. The portions were generous. If we were to come again, we'd split a meal. The fish stew was spicy! I loved it! Hubby did not. He is not the one for fiery food. Our server/hostess mentioned we could order it "mild", next time. I was secretly pleased there would be leftovers. His Korean beer was very light, close to a Bud Light, we commented. Our sweet hostess suggested a different beer for our next meal. I think she might have thought the Bud Light comparison was unflattering, but it was only a comparison. Overall, pleasant experience.

I did a search on Instagram and came across this business Ohana Karaoke Cafe & Grill, for Korean foods. This is all for my other half since he is a meat Jun Snob, he loves his meat jun so I decided to check out this business for our 2nd lunch. Nice idea, Karaoke and Korean foods, great combination! There are tables for dining and about 3 Karaoke rooms ( small, medium, & large) Connie (owner) greeted us and took our order. She was super friendly, usually at the restaurants here on Koreamouku, I have to be extra nice so they can be more friendlier. *note, no complimentary water here at all, you can bring your own or purchase the water here. Our orders were the meat jun and fish jun combo ($19.) and it has been a long time since I last had my Korean noods, got the ramen noodles with dumplings ( $10.) Big portions, everything was enough for 2 even came home with leftover jun. So the verdict and I ask the other half, so Mr. Meat Jun Snob what is the ratings, he said "7/10 and the fish jun makes up for it". hehe. Even though I can fancy up my Korean ramen better with the fixings, the noods was a great fix, There were 5 ban chan, zuchini and broccoli was too salty but enjoyed kim chee and sprouts. It was nice enjoying Korean foods on Maui! The other half thanked me and I am glad he was happy with his meat jun fixed. If we are back on Maui for longer than 3 hours, we would def. be back again! We had a party of 9 so I wanted to make a reservation ahead of time, but no one answered the phone. I ended up going in to make a reservation. Parking is located in back of the restaurant. We parked in a space marked Hemi's because that used to be the name of the business. They use portable, electric grills instead of the built-in gas grills usually used in KBBQ restaurants. The electric grills don't smoke as much as the gas grills. Many of the items on their menu are pre-cooked. The only thing we ordered that we cooked on the beef brisket. It was one or two workers running back and forth to fulfill all the orders. One of the auntie's at the restaurant advised us to just take a seat anywhere and that's what we did. The chairs are a bit high, so we weren't seen right away, but once they saw us they got us a menu, water and asked us what we wanted. We chose from the menu: soondubu, kimchi jeon, and kalbi (which we didn't get but I'm sure they were overwhelmed and didn't notice since there was a big party). Just by observing the place and the orders placed by the bigger party, if you look around the restaurant there are other food items that you can order. We didn't know and just stuck to the menu, lol but a note for next time! Again, the seats are very high so we were waiting for our food for quite a while. But once they noticed that we didn't have our food, they apologized and got our food right away! First came the banchans, I really enjoyed them! My favorite was the fishcake and radish kimchi. Kimchi pancake had other vegetables mixed in, not just kimchi. I wasn't expecting the other veggies, but it was good nonetheless. Then the grill and meats came. It is a portable grill and each table has an extension cord to plug the grills in. Once the uncle came to our table, he got us started with the grill and meats and cooked for us a bit! The attentiveness and effort was there and we really appreciated that. We then got our soondubu. It was very warm, refreshing and not too spicy. Our once empty table was now filled with banchans, sauces, meats, and lettuce! Once all our food came, the nice auntie came over and apologized again for the long wait for our food. She had said she would give us the kimchi jeon as a "service" which kinda means "it's on the house" as an apology. We understood the busyness with the restaurant and short staffed workers, but we're grateful for the effort and attention they had once they realized. Overall we enjoyed our experience here at O BBQ! We left full and satisfied, but not over bloated! I know Oahu has all you can eat KBBQ, but all you need is some good food, good meats and good company to enjoy KBBQ on Maui! We are glad we chose to dine in and try this new spot on Maui. We'll be coming back again!

I really love katsu, so I got the Pork Katsu plate, which comes with a scoop of rice and your choice of side (I chose potato salad). I loved the crispiness of the pork katsu, it came nice and hot. The Japanese rice was carb heavy, just how I love it. The potato salad was good, although I typically crave a macaroni salad with my Hawaiian plated food. There was a huge line when I arrived, and I was afraid, very afraid. However, it was a bunch of people standing around who had already ordered (another sometimes bad sign). But, I actually ordered without any line, and those people quickly dissipated. My food probably came within 10 mins. In that 10 mins, we ate the poke first, then got our Ichiban order quickly after. The two restaurants are so close together by driving, that I would highly recommend pairing the two restaurants together, if you want to share food items, and try different Hawaiian things, without making an extra trek. Would definitely recommend it right after getting off the airplane too! I can't say it was worth driving here all the way from Kaanapali though, since there's nowhere to sit down. There's a parking lot right at the restaurant itself, and it's just to-go, but you are allowed to eat in the parking lot. So can't really say much about ambiance. The service was quick though, and credit card was allowed. Not bad.

The price is still reasonable for the quality of the food you are getting and the service was great even though there was only one waitress and she was doing double duty as hostess. She was very pleasant and the service is some of the best I have had on Maui. I like how the new place has a nice local feel while having that new but welcoming aura. I will definitely be going back because I like to support local and these guys are making some great food for reasonable prices. I definitely recommend these guys and I will definitely be going back. So much more menu items to try.

We found this place after reading a couple of reviews online. Looks like it's fairly new and it's…read moresort of tucked away from the road (so if you drive by quickly or at night, very easy to miss). We went by for dinner and grabbed some food to go. Service was great - very friendly staff and efficient. Dishes: 1) Pohole fern and spring mix salad 5/5 - comes with a balsamic vinaigrette. I loved it! Might not be for everyone but the dressing was on point and it had some fund ingredients. 2) Lobster dynamite 4/5 - these are baked rolls which were super tasty. I just wish they hadn't put so much of the cream sauce on top. 3) Korean chicken and tutu karen okra's dry mein 5/5 - the chicken was on point and the noodles are (as listed) a bit on the drier side but it all goes well together. I would definitely go back and try the other dishes + their lunch menu!
