It's now June so I've had time to settle in with my carpet and wanted to provide a review of the experience. I read lots of reviews and research things to death before I make a decision so I don't give people a high rating just to be "nice". I also consider myself to be be a little hard to please because I'm used to doing a lot of work on my home myself and I have a high standard of quality while being thrifty. That being said, I shopped around a few quotes and came back to FlooringRVA. Long story short...I felt the price I paid for what I wanted was spot on. I had a good experience with the two man crew that came to install the carpet and padding. And 6 months later things are still meeting my expectations. Robert, the owner, was the real reason behind going with FlooringRVA a second time. He personally came to measure and offer suggestions. I preferred to text and Robert made himself available at all times throughout the day when I had questions. I didn't always expect an immediate response but one was always received. I could tell he and his staff were committed to my being satisfied throughout every step in the process and I couldn't find that level of customer focus with any other competitor. They said they would send a check to cover the cost of the painting (previously, the sent the painter out and had him bill their business). We had such a good experience on our initial visit, that when my mom wanted to do the floors in her sunroom, we went back to Jeter's! I gave them half stating you are now my highest estimate, you claim you have been in business 100 years BUT YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO MEASURE FLOORS? I wrote paid in full. They scratched it out, cashed the check & took me to court. At Xmas, wanted my house finished. Black lady judge said that by me allowing them to put the clear coat that a verbal contract outweighed a written contract in the state of Virginia. So I paid them the other half in court, in front of the judge. They reported unpaid on my credit for the next 7 years. I had my lawyer send them letters. I called the courts, it done no good. I got to explain it every time i applied for something, i had excellent credit other than them. So they got free advertising.
