The staff was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable. They install quickly and professionally. The price was in our range and they even work with you if you need financing. We had such a good experience on our initial visit, that when my mom wanted to do the floors in her sunroom, we went back to Jeter's! They had a fabulous selection of indoor/outdoor rugs and we purchased one that lasted for years! Repeat business? You bet!! When I needed a carpet remnant for our spare room, we went back to Jeter's! I even found a cute cheetah print area rug that I bought on a whim! Love it! It's obvious why their customers keep coming back again and again! It's now June so I've had time to settle in with my carpet and wanted to provide a review of the experience. I read lots of reviews and research things to death before I make a decision so I don't give people a high rating just to be "nice". I also consider myself to be be a little hard to please because I'm used to doing a lot of work on my home myself and I have a high standard of quality while being thrifty. That being said, I shopped around a few quotes and came back to FlooringRVA. Long story short...I felt the price I paid for what I wanted was spot on. I had a good experience with the two man crew that came to install the carpet and padding. And 6 months later things are still meeting my expectations. Robert, the owner, was the real reason behind going with FlooringRVA a second time. He personally came to measure and offer suggestions. I preferred to text and Robert made himself available at all times throughout the day when I had questions. I didn't always expect an immediate response but one was always received. I could tell he and his staff were committed to my being satisfied throughout every step in the process and I couldn't find that level of customer focus with any other competitor. I just had a new kitchen floor installed ( the previous floor was installed in the 1970s ) and it looks fantastic. They are no drama contractors and never sneak in extra fees and costs outside of the original quote. I also appreciate their sales approach because there's no pressure and they want you to be happy with your choice. Their prices were also lower than Lowes! Support a local business with good ethics. Though it…read moreis too early to determine the long term quality of the work and materials I can share my impressions of L&M thus far. So far I am very impressed with this company. They were EXTREMELY patient with us as we took a considerable amount of time making a decision on this project. Tons of emailed questions were answered (we worked with Laurel before she left and then Rosa), helpful information was always provided, and no pressure was ever applied while we made a decision. We made numerous visits to borrow floor samples and they were very good at educating us on the various things to consider when making our decision. The only negative was the amount of time between when we placed the order and when the installation was done. But I suspect the currently environment regarding the supply chain issues is beyond their control. The installers were very professional. The lead guy checked with me to confirm the direction we preferred the planks. Even though the order clearly stated the proper direction for the planks he was given different instructions. HOWEVER, because he was conscientious enough to check with me first BEFORE beginning the install, a potential problem was averted. From what I can tell, the work was done well. I haven't noticed any issues so far. They cleaned up after themselves (both inside and outside). Again, what stood out to me was the professionalism of their sales staff. Perfect balance between following up to make sure we didn't have any unanswered questions and giving us space to make this decision at a pace we were comfortable with. Going back through the emails, we began this process on 11/30/20 and didn't finalize anything until 8/17/21 (that's a long time to work with a potential client with no guarantee of a sale). We had three other companies visit our home to take measurements and provide quotes. L&M was the only company to stay in touch during our decision making process. Sometimes once you have all the data and facts it just comes down to which company gives you the best vibes (including online reviews). My gut said to go with L&M and so far so good.

I was contacted by someone at Costen floors who worked directly w my insurance company (Carlos? Sorry if I don't recall his name). Anyways, he was extremely professional and easy to work with. We picked the flooring sample and scheduled a day for installation. Then came the actual day of the installation. I was told by Costen that the workers could move larger items (couches, tables, etc) out of the room for me and I would only need to remove the smaller items. The workers came earlier and were disgruntle about having to move stuff like what was promised. They were really rude and disrespectful to me, the female home owner, and told me to "stop getting in the way and let us do our work." I explained I just wanted to know their estimated timeline (things like if they planned on starting on one side of the room, whether they're gonna wait for some caulking to dry first, etc) but was told to my face "we don't need to explain every step to you." WOW. It's not like I'm asking for a step by step introduction to carpentry. I just wanted them to update me on their work. I'm paying these people for products and services, not to disrespect me in my own home. Frustrated, I sent my 60 year old father over to talk to them, and they were perfectly polite to him. Eventually the work got done. The floor looked fine but I was not impressed at all by the workers' attitudes, like they were hourly and just wanted to wrap and gtfo. The floors/product was good but the service, not so much. Even though my floor looks fine, I would not work with them again.

Rick did a fantastic job!…read more Our cleaning service accidentally spilled bleach on a section of our carpet. Rick was able to replace the carpet with a section from a closet in our basement (but if you have extra carpet on hand that apparently is ideal). He also fixed a seam that was visible in our carpet which I had hated but didn't know how to fix. He patched the section he took out of the closet with a section of carpet of his own. It doesn't match but we didn't care because the closet is filled with storage items and honestly will never be seen. Regardless, the patch work was very well done. Rick was super nice and efficient and a perfectionist. I so appreciated this because you can't even tell the carpet was patched at all! He also gave us a quote and in less than a week was able to come out. Highly recommend him and if anything happens to our carpet again--knock on wood--we'll be calling him.
