    half of a wedge salad!

We had my birthday dinner here and we were impressed! We came on a Tuesday night and were the only ones in the restaurant aside from 2 people at the bar. We sat outside by the water and it was super cute. We didn't get the food menu until after we got our drinks which we thought was a little off lol but not the end of the world. Our food was SO good - wedge salad, the sea bass and the braised short rib were AMAZING. And they give you bread pre-dinner that was also good. We had a couple awkward moments with our waiter but nothing to ruin the night. Overall would come again!

Anniversary Dinner Done Right! This was our first time visiting Mignon in Plano, and it did not disappoint! We came here to celebrate our anniversary and wanted to try a nice steakhouse--and we're so glad we chose this spot. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a cozy, dimly lit ambiance that made the evening feel extra special. The service was top-tier from start to finish. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and walked us through all the specials with great detail. I ordered the chicken fried steak with cheddar mashed potatoes and broccolini--comfort food elevated to a whole new level. My husband went with the ribeye and a wedge salad, and he was equally impressed. Everything was cooked to perfection, flavorful, and beautifully plated. We also had two lemon drop martinis--they were strong, but delicious! Overall, our experience was a 10/10. If you're ever in the Plano, TX area and looking for a romantic dinner or just a great steakhouse with excellent service, I definitely recommend giving Mignon a try.

A proper girls night. This place met all of our expectations of a fancy girls night out. The service was phenomenal. The food was so delicious. Two of us got steaks and the other fish and we shared a dessert. The steaks were like butter. The white cheddar whipped mashed potatoes were divine. Make sure you order the Brussel Sprouts as your started. The drink/wine options were impressive. I have nothing negative to say about our experience here.

I came here to celebrate my friends birthdays . One of my friends and I split a filet mignon steak Oscar, it was delicious. The steak cut like butter and melted in my mouth. The lumps of crab meat were delicious. The asparagus and mashed potatoes were delicious. The service was great. The server was very attentive and made sure each of us got our order. The ambiance is quiet and romantic. I enjoyed my time with my friends

The service here is impeccable and excellent. The food itself leaves room for improvement since the chefs seem a little heavy handed on sodium flavor. The way they get folks started here is a little confusing. You're served a drink menu and wait until you can start ordering your entree and appetizers. To me, the food was extremely well cooked. The halibut was perfect and flaky. The seasonal watermelon salad was quite refreshing in the Texas heat as well. But overall, I found the main courses overly salty. I had to keep taking gulps of water because I thought they imbued the ocean in as flavoring. If you do decide to come here, make reservations on Open Table so you can get in instantly.

From start to finish, our experience here was incredible! Nicola, the owner, is truly amazing--so attentive, warm, and genuine. He made us feel welcome right away and really went above and beyond to take care of us throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious--every dish was packed with flavor and clearly made with love and passion. You can tell this is a place that cares deeply about both the food and the people. If you're looking for a spot that combines authentic hospitality with top-quality food, this is it. شكراً عمو Nicola!

    Excellent wine menu.

My wife and I found this little gem on OpenTable. It had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. In short, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We started with the calamari -- hands down, the best in town. Lightly crisped, perfectly tender, and paired with a flavorful dipping sauce, it set the bar high right from the beginning. The fresh bread they brought to the table was warm and crusty, a simple touch that made a big impression (we were starving so maybe that had something to do with it). For the main course, we both ordered the 8 ounce filet with a side of creamed spinach. The steaks were cooked exactly to order -- tender, juicy, and full of flavor -- and the creamed spinach was rich, smooth, and comforting, the perfect complement to the meal. Service was truly excellent. We were attended to by two different servers, both friendly and attentive, and even the owner stopped by a few times to check on us -- something you don't see often these days and a sign they really care about the guest experience. We sat outside on the patio, enjoying the pleasant evening weather, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Mignon offers top-quality food, thoughtful service, and a charming atmosphere. It's a spot we'll absolutely return to -- especially when we're craving that incredible calamari! Highly recommend. 10/10.

The only two things I remembered from this place was that the food was salty, my husband also commented that on his food--and he likes salt! Second, with my daughter and her many food allergies, we decided to go with plain chicken wings. They mentioned the seasoning was just salt and pepper. My daughter mentioned it being spicy so I tasted it and yes there was seasoning other than salt and pepper. I was very annoyed because she's allergic to gluten and some seasonings contain gluten. I notified the waiter and assumed we were getting a new order. BIG NOPE! What they did was RINSE the chicken and reheated it. How do I know this? Prior to sending it back, I cut a flat of the chicken wings in half for my daughter. When we got the "new" wings, the cut up flat was still on the plate. I was so shocked. Never seen that in a restaurant. At this point, we were all pretty much done with our meals and a storm was brewing so we just wanted to get out of there. I will not come back.

I'm not in this area of Dallas often, but I will make it a point to come back. I forgot to mention my cocktail! I had the Honey Bourbon Limoncello and boy was it good. My friends took me here for my 60th birthday!! Outside of the perfect steaks and stellar service (a great big thank you to Brad our amazing waiter), the music stole the show!! They have this insanely talented musician who performs Friday and Saturday nights starting at 6:30 PM .. he literally has his stage on a landing pad halfway up the staircase with his own little music kingdom. One guy. Several instruments. Electric guitar and saxophone were played effortlessly. You can make requests, which adds to the fun! For example, "Sweet Caroline" was a song that everyone sang along throughout the restaurant lol. Then came something I didn't expect. This musician has made it his personal mission to play our National Anthem on Fridays and Saturdays 7pm sharp. Everyone naturally stood -up, the whole room joined in, hand over their hearts, so much patriotic passion and energy. It was truly beautiful to see people come together in that moment. And just when I thought the night couldn't get better, out came a birthday dessert .. a warm homemade cookie with ice cream and a real sparkler. It was a show stopper!! I haven't seen a sparkler since I was ten lol. Apparently, birthdays are a big deal here, because it felt like every table around us had their own sparkler birthday/ anniversary moment. It was hilarious ... and I loved it! If you're looking for a memorable experience or just a relaxing delicious meal, nothing compares to Texas y'all. TIP: they have valet parking! It was my first trip to downtown Plano which is a nice quaint strip of bars, restaurants, and shops that reminded me of any of the small one/two stop light towns around my home of NC, even though you're really surrounded by metro Dallas highways and city. The atmosphere, the food, the service, was perfection. I'll do my best to describe, but if I was creating a restaurant, I'd tell you to go here, and that is what I want. The restaurant itself is very nice, certainly upscale enough for a super nice date night, but also casual enough at lunch time for a business casual outfit. The area itself is relatively small and intimate, I'm going to guess 10 or less tables, and a spot for a few people at a small bar. Right beside the bar is the grill where you can see, hear, and smell the food being cooked! The owner was our waiter, and just like the rest, service was plenty formal yet also laid back. He did everything how you'd expect in a fine dining restaurant, but also was comfortable in a baseball cap and laid back fine with having a conversation. He was happy to tell us about the restaurant itself, the interior which he built out himself, and was enthusiastic about what he was serving and told us everything about the meat and sides. It was great seeing someone so proud and excited to tell his costumers about every aspect of it. He alone would make me want to be a regular visitor. But then there is the food! Perfection! All four of us ordered the Wagyu NY Strip, so he just told us he would serve it on a board with plenty of sides to fill us up. We didn't even have to tell him how we wanted the steak cooked, he said everything was cooked to 135 and it came out absolutely perfectly! Quality tasty meat, true wood flavor, it was what I normally have to cook myself at home to get! The sides were great as well, charred broccoli (which I'm a sucker for, marbles potatoes, fries, all wonderful! The menu is not huge, but I think that's perfect. Do what you do well and you don't need a multi page menu full of random dishes. BAR-Ranch knows what they are and they excel at it! It's not cheap, but personally I'd rather have one meal of exceptional quality over multiple cheaper meals that leave me feeling "meh that was fine". Personally I'll be back and can't wait for another opportunity to try it!
