Very disappointing experience -- once they caused a problem, they stopped taking responsibility I am writing this review because my recent experience with MightyMite Termite was completely different from the excellent experience I had with them years ago. Back in 2016/2017, we discovered subterranean termites around one of our window frames. We hired MightyMite to inspect and treat the property, and at the time they did an excellent job. The termite problem was resolved, and interestingly, the treatment also eliminated an ongoing ant problem we had inside the house. I specifically remember them treating around the house very thoroughly, including digging deep holes in some areas, even through paved sections, and applying their treatment. Fast-forward to August 2026. We started having an ant problem again, although we had no reason to believe we had an active termite problem. Because of our previous positive experience with MightyMite, I called them again. I trusted them enough that I didn't even get a second opinion or contact another company. They inspected the house, found a couple of small termite issues and treated them locally. They also treated the areas around the house, although this time they only applied the solution in the planting beds and did not dig holes as they had previously. That part, by itself, was not my concern. The real problem happened afterward. The very night after their treatment, I noticed that our irrigation system was making an unusual sound. I checked the system and discovered that one of the main irrigation pipes in our front yard had been broken. The pipe had been working normally the day before. Their crew had been working and applying treatment precisely in the area where the pipe was damaged, and our irrigation system runs every night. I did not personally see the pipe being broken, so I am not claiming I witnessed the damage happen. However, when I reported it, MightyMite themselves acknowledged that their crewman may have caused the damage. Their response was: "I'm sorry to hear about the potential damage my crewman may have caused. I just let my office know and we will have them reach out to a plumber to come out and assess the issue." That sounded like they were going to take care of it. They didn't. No plumber came. No plumber called me. MightyMite later gave me the contact information for their plumbing service. I called that company myself, and I was told there was no work order for my address. I called again to verify, and was told the same thing. From that point forward, I made multiple calls trying to get this resolved. Yet MightyMite never called me back to actually sort out the problem. After initially responding as though this was a priority, they essentially stopped taking action. The pipe is still broken, and I am now facing an estimated $200-$300 out-of-pocket repair bill for damage that appears to have occurred while their crew was performing their treatment. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I chose MightyMite precisely because I had trusted them based on their excellent work years ago. Had I known that their response to potential property damage would be to say they would arrange a plumber and then apparently fail to even create a work order, I would never have hired them again. Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a company handles them. In this case, the lack of follow-through has been far more disappointing than the original damage itself. My advice to anyone considering MightyMite: think very carefully before hiring them. If everything goes perfectly, perhaps you will have a good experience. But based on what happened to me, I would be extremely concerned about what happens if something goes wrong. In my experience, once there was a problem, the responsibility shifted to me to make call after call, while the company stopped following up. read more

My wife noticed a considerable amount of evidence of a probable termite droppings on the bedroom floor under the window sill. We made the call to Mighty Mite Termite, and a termite inspection was immediately scheduled by their friendly office manager, Caryn Perron. Mighty Mite's Chris C. arrived to our home promptly as scheduled and did an amazing job of examining all areas of our home for termites. He was very friendly and patient while answering all our questions and explaining the process of eliminating the termites; then he scheduled the termite treatment to accommodate our needs . Mighty Mite's Richard C., Jr and Dakota N. arrived on time did an excellent job of providing the necessary treatments, being very careful to cover and clean up as the areas being treated very thoroughly to ensure the termites would be eliminated. All questions regarding the need for additional repairs were met by the scheduling of a Mighty Mite contracting team to provide an inspection of physical damages. Mighty Mite's Repair Estimator David D. came out arriving promptly as scheduled and began a thorough inspection of all the areas treated for termites. He determined that the structures inside were sound and needed no repairs. He then went outside to examine the roof lines and other structures looking for other damages to include water damages. He found damages then then took time to explain what he felt needed repaired and why. He provided us with an estimate of repairs, which we agreed to, then he scheduled the repairs. Mighty Mite's Construction Repair Crews including Jorge, Gio, Rudy, and Richard C., Sr arrived at our home at the scheduled time and immediately reviewed all areas to be repaired the began doing outstanding job removing all damaged areas and replaced the defective materials as needed. As the repairs were being done additional wood damages were found and properly replaced as needed. The crews were very professional, friendly and answered any questions about their work. As the repairs were being done, care was taken by all team members to clean up immediately after their work was completed. The team even told us to provide paint ( we did) and the new construction would be finished by properly paining and calking as needed. Upon completion of the work, all areas were re-examined by the crew, and touch ups were done to ensure all work met their expectations. When all was done, the work totally exceeded our expectations. We will highly recommend these folks for any termite problems found. read more

I needed to take care of a termite infestation in my condo of which I share walls with others units. I have some difficult neighbors and the home owners association is hands off when it comes to termites. I got inspections and quotes for service from three different companies. Mighty Mite was the third and the inspector, Chris, was immediately personable and understanding of my situation. He explained things clearly and thoroughly. He was adept at dealing with the difficult aspects of the job. I also called Mighty Mite several times and spoke with Carl in the office and he provided clear explanation and was willing to accommodate my ever changing parameters for the job. What's more, all of the team were wearing masks and courteous about Covid protocol. I felt very good about this because the inspector from a different company was tired and cranky and did not even have a mask when he got to my door. I had to give him one of mine and we all know masks are hot commodities in these COVID times. After notifying me, David and Sean showed up early with smiles on their faces and the utmost professionalism. Sean went right up into the attic took care of all the nasty termites and cleaned everything up. They were very patient while I contained my pets who kept escaping. I thought my job would take three hours but they were done in less than an hour! When they were finished, David explained all the billing and exactly how the extended warranty works. I highly recommend Mighty Mite. I'm so glad I have contracted with them for the five year extended warranty because they will come out anytime and take care of any new infestation as needed. I feel totally confident in their services. Thank you team Mighty Mite for making a complicated job go smoothly! read more

Simply, Professionals at work!! MightyMite was recommended after a recent home purchase. The inspector (Chris) re-inspected the house after the original inspector, and found even more termites than originally detected. At first, i was thinking why am i having another inspector, but it is well worth the trouble to have a professional revisit the house for another opinion. I am sure this is going to save me a lot of trouble in the future. GREAT PERSONALITY, VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL! Chris even went down a tiny crawl space that some people might not even want to... Chris explained in details what he saw and what is recommended! I have to also mention that MightyMite crew (Charlie and Brandon) were equally professional. They followed through all the details, and even cleaned up some of the debris in the crawl space. SUPER SAVY and FRIENDLY guys. They are here to get the job done, like any professional at work, but most importantly, to reassure you that you are not going to be disappointed! If you have termites and are a bit worried about service, cleanup, and getting rid of termites that do NOT hesitate. These guys were tried and are HIGHLY recommended! Note: I rarely write reviews, but i had to give these guys the credit they deserve! read more

Finding termite droppings in our living room was horrid and terrifying, so I'm thankful to MightyMite for dealing with it so professionally and efficiently. We are really pleased with the quality of the service we received in all our communications with the company. Chris C first came out for the free inspection and, in addition to finding the termites we knew we had, found some other spots with termites as well as pointed out some dry rot issues. Then Scott and Charlie came out and very efficiently got the job done. They were careful, conscientious and thorough and and explained everything they were doing. They were easy to communicate with and flexible when I had to reschedule the appointments a couple of times because of my schedule. We're so relieved to have been able to deal with the termites in a way that minimizes health risks and harm to the environment and didn't require us to clear out our house for tenting. MightyMite got the treatment plus preventative measures in the attic and around the house done in under 3 hours. There is a two year warranty (even if termites show up in areas that were not part of the areas they treated), which has really helped ease my mind. read more

MightyMite Termite Services has performed inspection services at our home for years now. During a recent inspection, several locations were tagged as needing repair due to termites and dry rot, at which point we discovered that MightyMite has experienced personnel that are qualified to do such repairs. Dave came out and gave us a quote that was quite reasonable, and was able to schedule a team to repair the siding and rafter-tail that had issues in just a matter of days. The team members were Mario and Rudy, and they arrived on time, got right to work and completed the job quickly and professionally. They even noticed a gap in the foundation by the plumbing cleanout and patched that for us. Their quality of work was outstanding. Several days later, I happened to notice another rafter-tail on a different side of the house that had termite damage, and MightyMite dispatched a crew right away to make that repair. That crew included Mario and George and they completed that repair in short order, again with outstanding work and professionalism. And thanks to Dave, there was no additional charge for the second rafter-tail repair. We highly recommend MightyMite Termite Services. read more

We've just had another visit from Mighty Mite, and we couldn't be happier. Last year we had them do an inspection and spot treatment, as we had discovered some minor termite activity in our home. As part of that contract, we were granted a 2-year warranty on service calls and free annual inspections. One year later (recently), we discovered more termite activity and called them back for an inspection and service. Erick A. arrived on time, and was very friendly and professional. He thoroughly inspected the entire house: inside, outside, in the attic, and in the crawlspace under the house. He pointed out the issues he found, and was very honest. He did not try to sell us on any extra services or claim that we had more problems than we did. Additionally, he offered to spot-treat the new termite activity himself, right then and there, instead of scheduling a separate appointment for someone to come out later. We happily accepted. There was no charge for any of this follow-up service. Thank you Erick! This contract was a great value, and if I have termite issues again, I will call Mighty Mite. read more

We recently used Mightymite Termite Contractors for wood repairs due to wood destroying pests. Areas of repairs needed were identified, quote was provide and work was scheduled. The construction crew (Jorge, Gio, Rudy and Richard) came on time, introduced themselves and were very courteous and professional when dealing with my husband and I. Before they started work on our property they identified and showed us all the areas they would be working on. During the 8 hours they worked, they continually kept cleaning after themselves. The crew worked hard and worked well together, helping one another and not wasting time to get the job done. When the job was done they walked us through the completed work. The crew did an exceptional job on the repairs. Aside from the repairs they did you wouldn't have known there was a construction crew at our home. I would highly refer and recommend Mightymite Termite contractors. Jorge/Gio/Rudy/Richard, thank you for doing a great job! Den/Angie read more

As part of addressing the dry wood termite infestation in my home, the MIghtyMite construction team of Jorge Escobar and Rudy Rosas carefully evaluated the situation before removing and replacing the wood invested sections of my house. They did a fantastic job! They throughly explained what was to be done, how they would do it along with their timeline. Their work included removing and replacing siding, eaves and joists, and stabilizing foundation under an area with a very small crawl space. They completed this work on schedule. They were very professional, courteous and were more than willing to thoroughly answer any questions and concerns we had. In addition, they left the job site in excellent order. The MightyMite construction estimator, David de Angelo, was very helpful explaining what had to be done and why. In addition, he was upfront about the possibility of running into glitches, and what to expect. His experienced knowledge about termites and dry rot was reassuring. I can recommend them without any reservations. Elvira M. read more

This company is spectacular. I was impressed from the first call to this company. I called the other one that think the world of themselves and was completely unimpressed. I had some dust coming out of my windowsill and found out that it was subterranean termites due to some wood touching the soil. The inspector identified the area they were entering and identified some potential entry points. They also gave me a simple remedy to the potential areas. They also told me there will be some wood replacement they will be able to do in the near future. The price was reasonable and a good value. I opted for the service and a preventative measure. The crew came out, explained the work they were going to perform while they walked me around my home. When they completed it; they also walked me around. I highly recommend their service. A quick, simple, cost effective solution was just what I needed. A big thank you to this company. See you when you have your repor department going. I will update this when that is done. read more

We had the dryrot wood repair on the garage door frame, trim and siding done by Mightymite in San Jose. David provided the estiamte and explained how the work needs to be done and answered any questions, he is very easy to work with. Rudy and Mario came out the first repair and discoved additioal damage and need another visit with the right material to complete the job. Again David provided a quick quote even he was sick at home (glad to hear that he has recoverd and back to work). They finished what could be done and prepared next work. They both are friendly and provided suggestions to prevent fututre water damage. Rudy and Richard came on the 2nd visit for repair in a very hot day. They work logically to manage the efficiency of caulking, painting, and repair. They also suggested what works best for on going maintenance and answered many questions I had. They were easy to work with and always thought about how to solve and improve the customers' issues. It was a pleasure working with their team. read more

KUDOS - MIGHTY MITE for an excellent job with treating our properties for dry rot, termite damage, and repair. The entire team (John, Rich Jr., Jonathan, Richard, Rudy, and Armenio) were professional thorough pleasant, and responsive in every way. From the initial inspection to addressing all of our concerns and questions (i.e. product/safety, eco-friendly. Patiently educating us about termites, damages, treatment plans, and price quotes. As a result of our first experience, we decided to schedule a second property for inspection, as well. Once again, received a thorough and informative inspection by John, scheduled for treatment ASAP and Rich Jr., Angel, and Jose showed up providing the same prompt, professional, and courteous service. Each time the team arrived early and ready to work. Honoring the mandate of sheltering in place, wearing masks, and social distancing. This was truly appreciated! The Mighty Mite Termite Services company has done a great job at my house for both Subterranean and Dry wood termite treatments. The inspector Mr. John S. came to my house twice and talked/texted with me many times on the phone to coordinate the plan and discussed the treatment details. I really appreciate very much for his dedication, flexibility and efforts. Because my house is in a major remodeling he decided to have his team come twice for a two phase treatment - one before foundation work and one after - to get the best results. The applicator team is as effective and hard working as the inspector. Kevin N came twice and did a very thorough wonderful job. And he had to use the water from our neighbor to do his job after finding out my water pipes were broken. The rest of team also deserve a honorable mentioning for their hard working: Jonathan M. John B. Angel T. Joshua Great job guys! Thank you all for your great services! Lisa P. read more

Let me first specify, I have done my research on various companies and have had 4 termite inspections from the ones I felt would take care of my termite issues in a timely, professional manner. Upon having 3 other companies out to my home, I was thoroughly impressed with MightyMite. Not only did they offer me various treatment methods, they also gave their professional opinion as to which would be the best treatment option. The gentlemen who came to my home a few days after the inspection were professional, clean cut, wore shoe covers, and explained the service I purchased in extreme detail. I didn't even have to move out of my house, and the service was completed in a few hours. On top of it all, they offered me a 5 YEAR WARRANTY for the ENTIRE structure even though they were only treating 12 different spots. I already have it in my calendar to call them next year for my FREE termite inspection follow up!!!!! read more

I contacted MightyMite after finding subterranean termites in a piece of wood I had in my vegetable garden. John came out and did a thorough inspection. He was quite knowledgeable about the different types of termites and explained to me his findings; we set up an appointment. He also emailed me a typed copy of his report and a copy of the contract. On the appointed day, and right on time, I might add (something strangely lacking in today's service people) Chris and Bill came out to take care of the pesky little devils. They were courteous, efficient, and full of information on the type of termites I had and the product they would use to exterminate them. They caused no damage around or under the house and if they had to move something, they made sure it was put back before leaving. They did a great job for a fair price and I thank MightMite. read more

From the inspection to the treatment, this company, IMO, deserves 6 stars. We had three pest control companies come to our home in Carmel Valley and do inspections. Two of those companies are nationally known, and then a friend told us about Mighty Mite Termite. The Mighty Mite inspector thoroughly checked inside, outside, and under our house, and told us we had 'terra termites'. We arranged the date for the crew to come out which, by the way, was on a Saturday and was strictly voluntary on the part of employees. Chris Cassel and Scott arrived exactly on time for our appointment. Both men were very courteous, and friendly, and after one signature from us, got down to business. Very impressive! Very professional, reasonably priced, prompt, courteous, and thorough. My wife and I recommend this company without hesitation. read more

Today, Scott and John came out from MightyMite and did an excellent job treating my attic and exterior for dry wood and subterranean termites. They arrived on time and were prepared with the work order. They explained in great detail what the service entailed, answered any health concerns I had and quickly got the work done in under two hours. They were clean (shoe-covers within the house), professional and I couldn't be happier with their work. Upon completion they gave me a good summary again of what they did with recommendations on what to look out for in the future and to schedule annual inspections (included in their service). Scott and John were great. No home owner wants to deal with termites, but both of them made dealing with it painless before any serious damage was caused. read more

I had an excellent experience with Mighty Mite Termite Services from start to finish. Our inspector, Jeremy, was incredibly thorough, professional, and patient in explaining everything he found. He took the time to walk me through the treatment plan and answered all my questions clearly. The crew -- Kevin, Brandon, and Chris -- did an amazing job as well. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were respectful of my home throughout the entire process. Their teamwork and attention to detail really stood out, and they kept me informed every step of the way. I'm so grateful for their hard work and highly recommend Mighty Mite Termite Services to anyone needing reliable, honest, and top-quality termite treatment. Truly a 5-star experience! read more
