First take out order was good but my second take out order experience stops me from going back. I was somewhat taken back that my take out Chirashi order had two packs of soy sauce inserted riding on my sashimi. I called and spoke to Wayne Miga sushi two hours later and the gentleman answering the phone assured me that the package soy sauce touching my fish are clean and there are no sanitary concerns. Maybe Miga sushi goes the extra mile cleaning all their soy sauce packages so the sushi chefs can freely spread them over your sushi and sashimi with absolutely no concerns. It was my second time visiting Miga Sushi at Wayne NJ and that would be my last and final visit. Maybe I am not updated with the latest trend with Japanese sushi take out. If this is a common practice, please comment and educate me. I do want to mention that it is common for Chinese BBQ shops putting a small container of soy sauce or hoisin sauce inside the container with roast pork and roast pork. Maybe Miga Sushi's sushi chefs have training background with Chinese BBQ shops. But to the best of my knowledge, it is not commonly done with Korean and Japanese sushi restaurants. I have been to many sushi places both in the NY/NJ area and abroad and I felt the need to review this place. I'm not sure if it's because they are new and they want to build up a client base or what, but their service was impeccable. We came here on a Friday evening and we called ahead to make sure that there would be a table for us. She let us know that we would be fine since it was a slow day for them. Lucky us! We were seated right away and were given 2 options; either the regular menu or the all you can eat menu. We chose the latter since the $22.95 per person charge for the ayce option is a good deal for sushi. The ayce menu has alot of variety to choose from and the sushi was very delicious. Good sushi, but I'm leaving this one star because of the wait. I made reservations and they neglected the reservation time. We had to wait in line with others who experienced the same thing. We were then told the wait would only be 5 mins. There was no way that was possible, every table had just gotten their meal. This was my 3rd time here. They don't know how to seat people and turn over tables. Sometimes they'll sit a group of 3 at a big table while other larger parties wait. Appetizers, there is a good selection. . I ordered the pork bun on a whim and while it was tasty, it was smothered in spicy mayo. The fish in my sushi was somewhat slimy. Been there multiple times with friends haven't had any issues whatsoever. The sushi buffet option is something we always go for and definitely get our money's worth. With a large selection of appetizers, we never feel locked in getting the same select choices every time. As for the sushi, it is pretty solid. For a buffet-style, usually one would find the quality to be lower than a normal sushi restaurant but the quality is not a miss at all. I always go for my favorite Dragon Roll and they prepare it very nicely. One roll I would advise staying away from is the dessert mango roll. The flavors did not pair nicely and we had to argue on who would eat the majority of it since we had to finish due to the all-you-can-eat rules. The dessert menu is short but sweet I usually opt for the red bean ice cream. It is one of my favorites. I want to hit on the appetizers again because I truly believe this is one of the best highlights of this dining experience. I tend to go with the Kani salad, the udon noodles, some shumai and if I'm feeling good I'll go for some tempura. The tempura udon is the best of both worlds with those appetizer options and my friends always gobble that up. At one time even multiple orders. In one scenario we were eating our meal and towards the end,when they came back after our plates were empty. The waitress insisted on giving us the dessert menu although we were not satiated. The manager came out because of the confusion and we asked him to give us the appetizer menu since we still had room for more and he helped us get what we needed. There was no problem after that we got a few more small plates then called it a night. I'm a big sushi fan and I've tried just about every all you can eat in the area and this place tops it all. I used to go to their Denville location and when we moved to Passaic county we were thrilled to find out they opened a Wayne location. The AYCE sushi menu is so much more than the simple menu your used to and all the rolls are delicious. I've never had a bad thing here and we go here about 2-3 times a month. The owners are so nice and friendly and the service is great. Make sure you try a Fugi Roll and the Denville King Roll. The only thing I wish they had on the AYCE menu that is not offered currently is fried crab/cheese rangoon. read more

The past three times my friends and I have went the service has not been great. The food is okay but not worth the $30 for all you can eat. The servers have been rude when it comes to the bill. The server the last time I went walked to our car because we didn't tip her. We found this place because we wanted sushi for our Valentine's Day celebration. Miga Sushi has been popping out of my restaurant search in Yelp so we finally tried it out. Hence, we didn't regret our snap decision. One of the best sushi places I've ever been. The sushi was well made and the staff was very accommodating (considering we didn't make a reservation at a fully packed sushi restaurant on Valentine's Day). TOTALLY RUDE!! Just went to Miga, the all-you-can-eat Japanese sushi restaurant in the Corrado's Shopping Center in Wayne. Had the absolutely rudest experience ever. I walked in and the girl said "have a reservation?" I said I didn't know we needed one. The girl said "have no table goo-bye" and turned her back on me. The sushi is very very fresh. The reason why I rate it 3 stars is because they pack too much rice into the sushi. In the picture below, you can see how tall the sushi is and how high off the plate it is. I think for $22.95 the quality is great, but for an "all you can eat" it's eh okay. Great sushi! All you can eat for a great price especially in the area. I have been to their Denville location first and I am so happy there is one a lot closer to me now. Such a good variety & very fresh too! You can pick from more than just sushi. I've been here twice and was not disappointed. This restaurant has all you can eat for about $23 which I got on both visits. As far as I know, this place has the best ayce appetizers in the area. The shumai is good, but I have had better. They also have excellent udon noodle soup that comes with either shrimp tempura, vegetables, or seafood. I had the tempura udon soup and it really did have a lot of flavor. The cold noodles were also very good but beware because the sauce has nuts and unfortunately my friend got an allergic reaction because the menu doesn't list the ingredients. The sushi is good but certain rolls were below average. I recommend the eel avocado roll, we found that one to be the best. I don't recommend any of the rolls that come with shredded tuna, like the spicy tuna roll. The shredded tuna here isn't very flavorful and my group did not like it. However, the raw tuna rolls were great and usually, you don't see good quality raw fish at ayce sushi restaurants. I recommend the raw fish rolls or sashimi over the shredded fish rolls, but this was not a problem for me because I prefer raw fish over shredded anyways. read more

This place is reasonably priced. They offer quite a few appetizers and have a great selection of sashimi on their menu. However if you're like me and head to a sushi place for JUST the sushi and rolls this isn't my favorite place. I'm not a fan of the spicy mayo sauces or wasabi sauce so I order different rolls without those as a topping.... SO, at this place unfortunately every roll tastes the same! They didn't taste like anything really, just very bland in taste. Which means the sauces probably make them taste "different" from each other but still all have the same base. Miga Sushi was an absolute family favorite. My children love the owners who are wonderful. It all changed when they hired the new waitress they had a longtime waitress and the new one brought the experience down. I like many other Wayne people will never return due to her. She is rude plays like she doesn't know what you're asking for brings you things you didn't order and just makes you feel like you're always inconveniencing her. The management at this place is ridiculous. Called for a reservation and was told I didn't need one. Showed up and they had us wait an hour. The place was so packed with people pushing an shoving in the door to the point that people were waiting standing up right next to the people seated to eat. Finally we are seated at the worst possible table at the center of the room in the middle of the small path where people were standing. It was a fire hazard! We had to get up at leave because there was no way we could have had a nice dinner in an environment like that. I understand they don't want to turn people away but when it gets the the point that the people seated are made uncomfortable with people standing like sardines on top of them that is a problem.
