First time at Midwest Wings and it will not be the last. The wings were excellent. Ordered the 24 piece for 3 people. I tried three flavors: Lemon Pepper, Sweet Chili, and Garlic Parmesan. The Garlic Parmesan had real parmesan sprinkled on top, and all the wings were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. I also grabbed a large Cajun fry, and a large here could easily feed three people. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and addictive. Everything came out hot and fresh. This is a new spot that already feels like a hidden gem. If you're in the area, it's worth pulling up and grabbing a basket of fries and plate of wings.

This is my second time visiting this place and they are always out of the Alfredo wings. I ordered the 6 piece Lemon Pepper and 6 piece Alfredo wings but he came back and told me that he thought he had done sauce from yesterday but it was out. Honestly I was disappointed but I was even more surprised he mentioned that the sauce was days old and he thought he had some more. I honestly don't care if the sauce was days old I would of still ate it but don't tell customers that lol Also the worker was wearing a white tee and the place had cleaning supplies, cords and all types of things on the counter right in front of the register, I wanted to walk out because this place showed me that that don't care just off of the outfit, customer service and cleanliness of the restaurant. It's a hold in the wall on a great location, they need to tighten up. The wings were probably a 8 with the blue cheese, it was a little different idk if it was ONLY lemon pepper but I tasted other flavors so I Hope they wash out the bowls lol idk if I'll be back but I hope they get their place in order I love supporting black owned businesses but this was a bad look on our people

I tried this place just looking for something to eat for lunch. I love wings and figured I give it a shot. There was only 1 person waiting in front of me and service was rather quick. I got the 3pc Tender special with Fries. Tenders, perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection. Honey Hot sauce, perfectly blend of spice and sweetness. Fries were seasoned, which was a nice plus. The combo also came with a drink, which was just a canned soda or lemon tea. All in All, it was incredible. I wish pricing was a bit friendlier, but everything is expensive nowadays. Definitely would recommend.

Let's start off by saying all the workers in there were nice and pleasant and provided prompt service, Unfortunately not all spots can get a 5 stars and this happens to be one of them! If you enjoy enjoy wings this is not the spot to come to, my wings were swimming in sauce and just had a "raw chicken" smell about them. We also ate the chicken Philly sliders and the buffalo egg roll. I personally didn't try the Philly but my boyfriend stated it could use a bit more flavor, the egg rolls did come out HOT so I appreciated that, the drinks were canned but cold so not much to say! Overall the wings (honey hot) need the receive tweaks. Give them a try and let's hear your thoughts too! My overall is 3/5!

Came back almost a year later was disappointed to hear that it was an up charge for Extra Sauce approximately 4$ which is kinda brazy but overall the food was still fire the music inside was still good and the service was coo .

Amazing wings! Crispy and flavorful on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside! Lots of sauce options and great ranch/blue cheese. Best I've had in the valley!

Walked 2 miles from my hotel all for the LOVE of wings! I'm very much so a foodie and consider myself a wing connoisseur so DO READ this! I arrived on a Friday at 3:30pm and was the only customer. I honestly thought, "If these wings are sooooo good then where are the people?" But then remembered it was 3:30pm (after lunch rush and before dinner) on a random Friday before Mother's Day weekend... so I cut the business some slack. The cashier was kind and even answered my many questions about some of the sauces. I went with the Midwest Heat & Hot Honey. The food was ready in about 10 mins ish and I opted to eat them inside as 1. I like my food HOT and 2. I was eager lol I saw the steam come from them when I opened the box so great, off to a good start! That first bite of those Midwest Heat wings was so damn good! I mean, meaty, crispy yet saucy... and that is how you do a wing! The Hot Honey was pretty good also, but I'm more of a spicy girl so preferred the others. JUST do yourself a favor and GO GET SOME! Ambiance wise it's not a hole in the wall but not fine dining either. I mean, but who cares when you're cooking up wings like that. The place was clean and that's all that matters. Ok, so why isn't this a 5 star review? Because I needed my DIP!!! And something fresh like carrot/celery sticks or cucumber. Ugh! They did have ranch (for a small fee) but I'm a blue cheese girl and they only had the crumbles. :-/ I think when you have a small menu it's the little things that can take you from wham bam to wham bam thank you ma'am! Haha Also, please note no ice /fountain drinks only cans / some punch or in house lemonade of some sort. I opted for water. Anyway, BYE. Go get some! :)

Now this is what I call good wings , service was amazing the gentlemen was really putting in that work in the kitchen and as a cashier! I got the buffalo fries 10/10 and tried my friend's bufflo and mango habanero wings they were fire ! and the food was out fast! Will definitely be coming back!

This is definitely a take it "to-go" place. Independent owner from Detroit who will take your order and cook the wings, one man band. Wait time is approx 15 minutes. They do a lot of online orders. Overall wings were good, the flavor and sauce options are great. If you like it spicy definitely get the Midwest Hot. They do not have blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping which is the one suggestion I'd make. We asked for blue cheese and only got the crumbles not the actual dressing. If you like wings, stop by and give them a try!

Literally stumbled on this place looking desperately for a place to eat, but also stay cool and relax before a concert; the concert filled every freakin' business in the area with hours long wait times. This place was just gonna have to do regardless of what they served, and boy howdy did I get the absolute best surprise ever. I'm a wing man, and this place made THE best damn wing I've ever had. Hot? Check. Crispy? Check! Ample number of flats? Fuggan check! I got the Cajun and Nashville Hot dry rubs, and a Buffalo chicken eggroll...words are insufficient to describe how perfect these wings were, how awesome that eggroll was, and if you need a little more honey with that sugar, from the front of the house to the back you get amazing service. Of all the options in the downtown area, I'm going to ignore them and beat feet to this place every time.

We ordered 4 different flavors of wings. 24 total. I enjoyed all of them, but most of all the spicy Honey and Honey BBQ. The French Fries were delicious and crispy. I will certainly come back for the wings. However, the Gal that we spoke to on the phone to place the order for pick up was not very Friendly and she was just as unfriendly in Person. Someone that will smile and talk to Customers with more personality will represent this place better. read more

So far my favorite wings in the area. I always get lemon pepper and salt and vinegar and they are great everything. There is a little bit of a wait though each time we go. I think there's only one person cooking all the wings in the back and one cashier, but it depends on the day. There's lots of seating and cute little neon chicken sign to take a picture with. Lots of flavor here, but if you're looking for SPICY chicken, this will not be your place. read more

So I was recommended this wing spot one day when this guy saw me with Wingstop.haha I wanted to give it a try seeing that it's black owned I believe and it's not many black owned restaurants here in Phoenix that I'm aware of. When I first walked in there wasn't anyone at the register and it was very slow, just me and another person. They have music playing so I just listened until someone came out. I waited for like 3 or 4 mins which was fine cause it was only two people working. The lady that came to take my order was very nice, she let me try a sauce that I was curious about so that was a plus cause I wasn't sure if I wanted to get it. Waited about 10-15 mins for my order and went home. I opened my box to see 6 flats...I'm not a flats person at all. I would've been fine with it if I didn't pay $4 extra for all drums, I was very disappointed. I did try the wings though and they are VERY good! The flavor on those wings definitely helped with my disappointment. The wings seem to be smoked or seasoned before the sauce is even added to them which I love cause some places will just sauce an unseasoned wing. Due to the wings actually being good, I will definitely come back cause I want to support small businesses and hopefully I can update this and make it 5 stars next time. read more

AMAZING! so delicious!I don't like to try new restaurants often because i don't like wasting money on something i may not love, (especially because it is a bit out of my price range) BUT THIS WAS WORTH ITT!!! the food was exactly what i was craving. the woman at the counter was so nice and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend the spicy chili and honey hot sauce. Also the chicken philly fries were phenomenal. The two gentlemen were also so nice and accommodating. the ONLY THING i would say is that the menu could use something fresh to even out the deep-fried-ness. like a salad , cole slaw, or maybe even some side veggies. Popped in and had the loaded Buffalo chicken fries after a couple (ok, few) beers at Kings. So good and I wish I was eating them right now. 1,000% looking forward to going back to jump around the rest of the menu. Almost missed it. They're new and have very limited signage (working on it). Located in the Panera strip on Central & Thomas. Had 6 of the Midwest BBQ wings. A little bit sweet but big, meaty, and hot (in temp)! Going to try all the flavors in time... The owners are from Detroit and are super friendly. You can tell they are proud of their quality, as they should be! This is my new go-to for wings in Midtown Phoenix. read more

Let me start by saying I love this place and if you're looking for some amazing chicken wings (the golden bbq is my favorite) , this is the place for you. Now that being said, in my opinion the service and the amenities are lacking but it won't stop me from eating there I just know what to expect. The wings are crispy, well seasoned and delicious. It's a little pricey so be prepared for that but definitely check them out! read more

I will go out my way for there honey hot. It's the only flavor that I like. And I am not a honey hot wing person. I love spicy flavorful. I found their other flavors to be good but not good enough. Again, I only eat the honey hot. The wings in general are crispy and flavorful. I haven't a dry wing yet and I've been a few times. The customer service is always 10/10. I called to ask a few questions but somehow the call was disconnected. They called me back to make sure everything was resolved. In person I get the same great service. I've even came in after closing to pick up a to go order. The ambiance is a normal indoor wing setting in my opinion. Big fan of the music selection ever time I came I would give it 5/5 if I'm eating based off me eating just the honey hot. If I add in other flavors I'd give it a 4. read more

The best wings I have ever had!! I had them doordashed as I am on a work trip and they were delivered pipping hot. Midwest Wings called me to confirm my order and inform me that I could not get two different wing flavors (no big deal). They were juicy and perfectly crispy with additional sauce souped up at the bottom to ensure each wing had optimal flavor. They don't have a website so to see their menu, just go to them on DoorDash and you can view their menu that way. 10/10 recommend! read more

Been here twice, the food is great. Service is TERRIBLE. Ordered for pickup, waited the 30 minutes I was quoted and they told me they didn't start the order yet and it wasn't even busy. Came in a second time just to order side of fries, it took over 40 minutes for me to get them. The cook was too busy messing with the tv and taking his friends orders instead of dropping a simple order of fries. read more

I just like a regular buffalo wing with blue cheese. I don't like any honey BBQ, or any Asian wings... not for me. I just like buffalo wings. I asked for the blue cheese on the side, and thank God, they gave it to me on the wings! It wasn't the blue cheese dressing, it was the blue cheese crumbles. It was so good. I am mediately got on the phone and called my friend from Detroit and told her about this place. I don't know if it was authentic "Midwest" wings, but they are hands-down, the best wings I've had since I've been out here. read more

5 stars! Great chicken! We were at Kings Beer and Wine next door and placed an order, they said it would be 15 minutes so we said we would come back to pick it up. The guy behind the counter made great suggestions and even brought it over to Kings because it was ready faster than he had said. The Lemon pepper and garlic parm are so fresh. Wings are big and had the perfect crispy outside. I had the salt and vinegar dry rub which was really good. Definitely a little pricier but I would say it was worth it for the quality. Giving 4 stars because the girl working the front couldn't care less to be there and was blasting videos on her phone... would've hoped for better service given it's a new spot, but thankfully the wings made up for it. read more

first yelp review ever. called in and placed an order for 48 wings and fries so that they would be ready for NFL draft night. went to pick the wings up right before the draft started and they said they didnt have my order. placed a new order in store, told me they would give me free fries to make up for it and have it ready in 10 minutes. they only made 36 of the 48 wings, didn't cook the fries, and cashier told me "too bad". worst draft night in history read more

Good stuff. We tried the buffalo, asian zing, and garlic parm. All really good. If I had a complaint it'd be for more of a saucey garlic parm. Also tried the midwest fries, which is a homemade bbq glazed fry. We weren't sure what to expect but they were solid and a crowd fav. I think next time we'll get that as a wing sauce option too. Support your local small business and get some wings! read more

The wings them self were pretty good. The sweet chili wings had a very good flavor. However the lemon pepper wings didn't taste like anything. I felt like they didn't even have seasoning.. Luckily the sweet chili had extra sauce. The fries were pretty good as well but they tasted like regular fries and didn't taste like Cajun. We wanted to try their MidWest Hot but they ran out. In town for a visit from the Lou and wanted something besides Mexican (we've had plenty) Midwest wings didn't disappoint. Had garlic parm (shredded not wet sauce) honey hot (sweet/spicy but not overkill) Midwest bbq (not your typical bbq-not tangy but verygood) & cajun (spicy). Wings itself good size/meaty/crispy! me and my fiancé was just in the area looking for something to eat before I made it to work and planned to get subway until we saw this place . and the owner was very friendly and helpful and our food only took 15mins I got the buffalo loaded fries and he go the 5pc combo with a drink . when I tell you my job is 5 mins away from this place and the food barely made it in 5mins lol I couldn't even get a pic of the before but just know it's gone definitely would recommend read more

The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

The service was amazing and the owner was so nice that I would honestly just go in there to see him! On top of that, the wings were perfect.
