I was moving from a 2nd floor apt to another 2nd floor apt. Was told I was getting 3 movers but only 2 of them did the work. The move could have easily taken the allotted 3 hrs if all the men worked but I ended up having to pay an extra $165 for an extra hour. The man who clearly had seniority was intoxicated. And the other men were irritated with him. He came up to sign me out at 6:25, what should have been a 5 min process was 25 mins because he was disoriented. He was so out of it he mixed up the numbers for my total and dispatch had to tell him that he put it in wrong. He took so long at close out the other movers came in the apt looking for him. I was so uncomfortable because to top it off he basically insisted on a tip and gave me his business card insisting that he would give me a flat rate next time I need to move. The worst moving company I have ever worked with. I'm am Episcopal Priest, so I move a lot and up until now I have never had a problem. This was the first time I have used Midland and I have advised all my colleges to steer clear of them. The price kept moving up: 6,000 to eventually I ended up paying almost 20,000. When I questioned them they talked in circles, not really answering my questions. They moved my belongings out of storage, assigned it to a different carrier and didn't inform me that they had. When I questioned them on it they said they didn't have to communicate to me. They could assign it to a different carrier if they wanted to. And during my move, I was not stressed at all! They sent me an amazing moving crew! Camillo made sure everything was packed and moved properly. They always provide exceptional service and work efficiently. I had a very large valuable shell shaped mirror that I was very concerned about. They crated it in a wooden crate and put it in their storage, brought it back to my new house, uncrated it and even hung it up for me. It was completely fine. The move was completely stress-free! This company recently expanded its services to include mailing packages for UPS, , FedX, US Post Office, etc. I had an 8" x 10" envelope with photos mailed via UPS. It was supposed to arrive in New York City in three days, but it took longer and was delivered with the wrong ZIP code. It was returned to Midway Movers, where I had to pick it up myself and pay a $14 return fee--something that was never disclosed in advance. Even worse, the package was opened at Midway Movers and the photos were taken out of the envelope. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will never use them again. The move itself was fine, aside from the workers being less than polite about asking for tips. The final cost ended up being more than double the estimate, so I strongly recommend finding a more honest moving company. It's clear that they low-balled the estimate in order to get our business, which is extremely misleading. I asked for a partial refund but the guy said "we just don't have that kind of profit margin" (to give a refund). They bill themselves as the official movers of the Cubs, so I would say they absolutely have that kind of profit margin. It'a cheaper to just buy new stuff honestly! read more

I made a terrible mistake on not checking Yelp for reviews. This company's business model is to rip you off, nothing more. They pay their labor peanuts, I asked them and they were also getting ripped off. You get that level of care with your stuff at that level of wage. I previously used Move-Tastic for a move and had a fairly good experience, wish I went with them again. With this move I had a moment where there was a need to move into temp storage between apartments, and Midway was the only movers that had storage space. By the time I got to the move date the need to go into storage was no longer needed, but I was already scheduled with them and figured it wouldn't be worth my time to shop around for a better deal (or in hindsight a company that wouldn't be this terrible). The need for move came because my previously landlord wouldn't deal with a roach issue and so I needed to get out as soon as possible. Midway Movers offered to help packing, and would go through the extra mile to inspect items before boxing for any stow away critters, clean as needed, pre-emptively spray the inside of fresh boxes with roach spray before packing, and then taping all exposed corrugated cardboard edges. After explaining over and over again to them on packing day and giving examples, they only did this to 2 boxes. Major hard pushback by them to wear masks for both the packing day and moving day. I had to give them masks as they hadn't brought their own. Whatever page they have on their website about covid precautions is a joke. Charged me more for packing moving materials than the labor on the packing day, $1500 for boxes and tape. Completely got ripped off. In addition they resorted to only using more expensive wardrobe boxes (about $20 for a $4 box), and then would only half fill them (one was just half filled with pillows). The wrapped tape around a bunch of bare items that didn't need it, all of which has tape residue ($7.99 for each roll of tape, wrote down on the bill more rolls than what was used) stuck to it. Even with me monitoring their work as best as I can (if you're paying someone to pack for you there's a good chance you are doing that because you don't have time to do it yourself, so why the hell are you doing this if you need to watch them like a hawk), about a quarter of the boxes ever got notes on them about what's in the box. I had bought room labels and left that for them to slap onto each box, and even that barely happened. On the moving day they spent about 45 minutes just getting parked behind the garage, which I got charged for. About half of the time charged for was spent with them hanging out at the truck. Huge huge huge push for me not to get the extra insurance. Shame on me. One mover asked me multiple times why did I have to move from a 1st floor unit to a 3rd floor unit, and how that was stupid. Every single piece of furniture moved has been damaged. There wasn't a single thing where you wouldn't notice damage to at a glace. All metal filing cabinets are dented in. Anything wood has chips, gashes, dents, marring, paint scraped off. Tables have their corners bashed in. There's a wooden stool that has scratches in spots that I have no idea how that would even have happened. This wasn't a move, but a generate and relocate trash project. About 20 minutes into moving in I gave up on them bothering to put each box in the right room, to me just having them set it down after getting it through the door and resort to me moving it to the correct spot (again why the hell bother paying for this service). Another 20 minutes in I just gave up and had them unload everything into the first room in the unit and just leave it there. The person hanging out in the truck and dealing with load in and load out smoked about a pack of cigs through the whole time, thankfully none of the smell lingered. They went way over estimated time for both days, went way over any estimation on materials fees. Insult to injury, I was pressed for a tip before I even signed the dotted line before the work started, and then another big push that I leave the unit and go get them cash for the tip. I have a rule to always tip if the work gets done, regardless of the quality of work. I still gave them a reasonable tip but this is one of the few times where I really really really regretted that rule. I've called the agent who got me setup multiple times to discuss all of these issues but haven't gotten an answer or call back (caller ID?). Based on the comments here it's clear these people are used to ripping off whoever they can, and my only course of action would be to legal up, which typically isn't worth it when you're trying to move and get on with your life. I was able to eat the cost and deal with damages incurred, many other people here don't have that luxury. Please avoid these people at all costs. read more

I agree with everyone who gave Midway Moving & Storage a 1 star or poor score. This company is absolutely the worst. They moved me in February 2022 and they scratched up my furniture. They also broke glass to a tabletop because they failed to wrap it properly. They just put it in a cardboard box with no cushion. They damaged the flooring of the home I was moving from by failing to cap of the waterline to the refrigerator. My humidifier was broken and several items were just missing. IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT. I put in a claim for the damage and items missing and absolutely nothing happened since February. Nothing. This company is the absolute worst. The majority of my property was packed and visible label ( glass, fragile, books, heavy) I have two issues with this company: 1: You must monitor the employees. a: I had to Correct the employee several time when loading and unloading their truck " To Place Heavy boxes on the bottom & place the fragile items on top of the heavy boxes. 2: Missing Bedroom Screws a: The Gentleman came prepared with a drill. Our moving experience with Midway Moving was horrible. DO NOT USE THEM. We had a crew of three, led by Charles. With the exception of one member of the crew, their attitude was unpleasant and for the most part they were not respectful of either our belongings or our explicit instructions. Similarly to other reviews, it felt like the move was incredibly disorganized from the start. The move took several hours longer than anticipated (hence costing way more than estimated) despite the fact that the furniture inventory we had given them on the phone was rather accurate. We ended up helping them to speed up the move. The movers repeatedly didn't listen to what we were trying to communicate to them and they kept taking frequent smoking breaks. Even though the new location was just 3 blocks away, the moving truck disappeared for half an hour during transit. Also, the movers planned poorly and in the end there was barely any space on the truck for the last two items of furniture. We agreed to pay extra to do a second trip just to move two tables to avoid any damage to them in the already crowded truck. In the end the movers "lost" the legs of our dining table (part of this "dedicated" trip) and we were lucky to "find" them in the lost-and-found weeks later. Beyond the usual nicks and dents, the movers lost several other important items. When they disassembled a queen bed frame, we provided them with a bag to put all screws and bolts in and tape to the bed frame. The bag was somehow lost and the bed frame is now useless since the manufacturer no longer provides replacement parts. They also lost a glass lamp shade. The most egregious was their treatment of our two queen mattresses. They moved one of the mattresses, a little over a year old, without any protection (without plastic wrapping or a box of any kind). We had placed a slip-on protector on it, which they removed without asking and tore to shreds for good measure. Then they dragged the mattress down the stairs and onto the truck, tore its corners and soiled it throughout, which incidentally voids the 10-year warranty. The second queen mattress they only covered in plastic at the ends, put in the truck without any other protection, and soiled throughout. There were logistical issues with the move in addition to the physical losses and damages. Despite locking in a specific time to start the move informed by our working schedules, the movers showed up more than an hour early, while we were still packing. Upon arrival, they were taken aback when we asked them to keep their masks on inside the apartment (not on the stairs or outside) and claimed they didn't even have masks on them (they did). Despite repeated requests and reminders to keep their masks on, they continued to be maskless with a pregnant woman and two elderly people present. Finally, despite repeated requests by both us and the building manager to move their truck out of the driveway where they were blocking cars from coming in/out and park it out front, they refused to comply, causing a lot of issues to our neighbors over the course of several hours. read more

Our previous experience ( 20 years ago) was good, so my wife wanted them to do what they did back then. Pack the kitchen and move us from Wheeling to Northbrook. They did the estimate by phone so they did not truly see the distance from door to elevator. Knowing that I "knew" Jerry Siegel DID NOT HEELP. In fact, the workers took advantage and did not do all they were supposed to do. They added cardboard boxes ( at a cost) that I did not NEED. They left behind clothes, and a great deal of kitchen stuff. The move was MUCH longer than we had anticipated and I was okay with the extra hours on the move BUT the materials ( as I said, I already had tape and boxes) added up to $1,303.00 RIDICULOUS since it was after 5 the workers could not get in touch with management so they would not leave my home without my cc. I contacted Jerry right after and was promised that they would look into this. BY THE WAY all they could talk about was the tip- meanwhile they added the figures wrong and overcharged me as well. My bank tried to help me with the cc, but is still getting info. I would suggest, that even if you are a Cubs fan ( they are the official movers for the Cubs) you find another firm to do your move. Moving with Midway was one of the worst experiences my wife and I have encountered. The crew was led by Charles, who was taking personal calls throughout the move. The other crew members arrived while smoking cigarettes. The move was disorganized from the beginning, and it felt like they were deliberately taking their time to move. We eventually had to help them move because they were so disorganized, and we did not want a 4 hour move to turn into a 7 hour move. We bought a cover for our mattress for $80, they disregarded our request to use this cover and instead spent 30 minutes wrapping our mattress in bubble wrap costing us an additional $40 on top of the $80 we lost with the mattress cover. The personal phone calls continued throughout the move making the entire process much slower than expected. The entire move took 3 more hours than was estimated, making us feel like we were taken advantage of and easily the worst moving experience we had in Chicago. Our experience with Wolley Movers, was significantly better and I highly recommend people stay away from Midway. We have been trying to contact Judy, their customer service manager for weeks now without any response or action on Midway's part. We do not like to leave negative reviews because we know how detrimental they can be for companies; however, we have had no option with the experience we had during our move and the post - move customer service we experienced. Using Midway Moving & Storage (orange trucks advertising the "official mover of the Chicago Cubs") was an absolute disaster. I would warn other customers to stay away from this company. First, don't trust the "quote" that you receive - our move came in at FOUR TIMES what we were quoted. When the movers arrived at our house, they commented two things: 1) that our packing and staging was amazing and it looked professionally done (we did it ourselves); and 2) that we needed a second truck and a full additional crew of guys to get everything done. On top of that, our original quote did not include required costs that added major costs (which were absolutely known to the person who gave us the quote), including unload time at the storage facility. To say that we were baited-and-switched is an understatement. Next, both crews we had were careless at best, and at worst seemed to intentionally cause damage to our things. The move-out crew put their inventory stickers on the FRONT of almost every piece of furniture and other large items that were not packed in boxes (rather than hiding them on the back/underside). Of course, this caused some damage to our items when they were removed. They also applied tape directly to the surface of a leather chair, ruining it. Worst, during our move in the crew dropped a heavy dresser directly on our newly refinished wood floor, gauging it severely right in the middle of our front entryway. The company had the audacity to offer us $200 in compensation for that damage, which according to the quotes I have received will end up costing us thousands to have fixed. I used them when moving in 2019. At first I thought that the two guys who showed up were very friendly and helpful. I rode with them in the truck to my new place and one asked me what grad school I graduated from, and without thinking I answered them. I then wondered how they knew that I went to grad school, since I hadn't discussed my education with them. Started off positive and now have nothing good to say. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. Period. Hard stop. Here's the short version. I hired Midway to pack up my apartment and store my belongings in October 2020. I paid for the packing, move and storage for two years. I then paid to move everything from Chicago to NY in November 2022. All in, I estimate I have paid Midway over $13,000. Not everything arrived in NY, including two flat panel TVs, lamp shades (the lamps arrived, go figure) and an assortment of household and kitchen items. I provided Midway with everything they requested to support my claim, including a detailed list with prices for every item and photos of the missing items that I had set out for Midway to pack and store. I took the photos since I wasn't going to be there during the move. Total lost items $1,504. And that doesn't include what I paid them to pack, move, store and then deliver property that seemingly disappeared. $1,504 (after I paid them in excess of $13,000) would hardly seem like more than an inconvenience for a big moving company that touts themselves as the "proud mover of the Chicago Cubs." Fast forward over four months later and still no resolution. I heard zero from them from December 5, 2022 through March 14, 2023. Radio silence. I have been emailing them nearly daily since, only to receive sporadic (and at times rude) responses. For example, from Judy Bagdon of Midway after I sent four emails without any response, "As I explained to you last week, I am working with the insurance company on this." Well, excuse me for asking! Hey, you lost my stuff, remember? I have received no real explanation as to what happened, no showing of any concern or understanding, and no indication as to when (if ever) I might actually be repaid for what Midway lost. 1. When the movers got to my house, they told me that it was a three hour minimum when over the phone they said it was a two hour minimum. They did correct this after I called, but I didn't appreciate them adding an additional hour at the last minute. 2. One of the three movers was not wearing a mask when about to load in to the new place. I asked him politely to put on his mask. He ignored me, and continued towards the door when I told him that he needed to put on the mask before entering the house (it's my mom's house, who is 76 and has a heart condition; a high risk for COVID.) The guy had a huge problem with this, and said to be "you only need the mask for if you're sick..." I really did not appreciate that at all; that was disrespectful. 3. They broke my box springs. I've attached two photos. The movers claimed that it was already like that but the box springs hadn't been moved since it was originally delivered to my place a few years ago. The mover picked up my 150 year old French antique by himself and proceeded to drop it on my wood floor. Broke the marble and damaged the floor. I'd never signed anything or been told anything at this point about insurance. As a result, they didn't want to pay anything or some nominal amount based on weight. I trusted them with moving my antiques and storing my fine artwork. Big mistake. I learned: buy your own insurance OR you may be in big trouble. They also sent their movers to deliver to my home in the Rocky Mountains. They didn't check the size restrictions on our road and they had to rent Uhaul (at my expense) to unload their truck and deliver to my home. Phenomenal moving company! Recently moved from a 4 bedroom home to a new 4 bedroom home in the western suburbs. A LOT of furniture including a treadmill and two large bed frames which they were able to disassemble and reassemble. Extremely friendly, professional and strict about Covid safety procedures. They did hit a low hanging section of my ceiling but were honest and upfront about it (I've had other companies try to cover up things like this), they patched, sanded and repainted the area and it was good as new. Quote was a bit higher than what the actual ended up being, which was great. Very responsive company overall. I recently moved for the third time in 12 years and once again Midway was my go-to moving company. My previous experiences with them have been positive and this time was no different. I can't say enough about the consistent service they've provided over the years. I called Midway two weeks prior to my moving date to check their availability and was able to schedule my move with no problems. I explained that I'd be moving from a first floor unit to a third story walk-up and requested a three man crew in order to make it easier on the guys actually doing the heavy lifting. I explained that I'd be moving some bedroom furniture, but other than that they would only be moving 25-40 boxes. The gentleman provided me with a quote of $410 which included an extra fee ($50) for the stairs and another one for the additional crew member. I packed my own boxes, wrapped my own tv's and dresser to keep costs down. Midway called a few days prior to the move to confirm and I was able to push it back by a couple of days due to an unforeseen delay in circumstances. The day of the move I received a call from a Midway employee asking me if I wanted to save money by reducing my crew size to two men. He stated that initial quote given to me ($410) was incorrect and that the actual charge for a three man crew would be $530. I explained that I asked for a three man crew purposely to make it easier on the movers since I knew they would be climbing three flights of stairs. This employee tried to say the move would go faster with two men, but I insisted on three regardless of the cost. I chuckled to myself thinking how it must be easy for the guy manning the phones to say a move would be "easy" with two guys doing it.... Anyway, the three man crew (Alex G., Marco & Felix E.) arrived on time and ready to work. They were polite, but less personable than previous Midway crews I've had the pleasure of coming in contact with. They were all business and worked non-stop despite my telling them repeatedly that they could feel free to take a break if needed. I offered them bottled water throughout the move, but they wouldn't accept it. Instead one of the guys simply filled up his empty bottle via the bathroom sink. They worked so hard that they were able to get me moved completely in two hours. There was no damage to my new home or personal items during the move. Alex told me that he wouldn't be charging me the rate of $530 quoted to me that morning over the phone and instead would only charge me the original $410 fee. That was unexpected and greatly appreciated. As a result, I decided to give each gentleman an even bigger tip. I believe in tipping generously if the service warrants it and in this case it did. I was more than happy to tip each crew member $50. I know carrying items up three flights of stairs isn't easy and whatever their hourly rate it isn't enough. I don't plan on moving anytime soon, but when I do Midway will remain my first choice. read more

RUN.. do not use these monsters.. They moved an 85 year old Woman... Yes ,she was a bit of a Hoarder... She lived in the same place for 28 years... She moved four blocks away ,both elevator condo buildings... They charged her $19,000! YES, you read that correctly.. $19,000.. A three bedrooms into a two bedroom!s! They never reassembled her bed, They left her dresser shrink wrapped, standing upright vertical... in her front room.. They packed her chandeliers, which are of course destroyed .. in large black garbage bags, along with her pots and pans! They never unpacked one box( which they did not label) They put her dining room table on top of all of her hat boxes!! Her art work never created, not even bubble wrapped,.. sofa o top of her clothes. Which was never put in wardrobe boxes. Just thrown on floor. AND ... ALL OF HER EXPENSIVE JEWERLY IS MISSING!! I'm not saying they stole it!! But they left this elderly woman to die in that apartment.. they blocked off her bathroom, So she could not even use it., SHE HAD A STROKE ., and was on the floor for three days in her own body waste.. She could not find her phone!! SHE s completely paralyzed on one side now!! MONSTERS AND THIEVES!! RUN.. DO NOT LOOK BACK.. unfortunately , I just acquired her as a client!! This happened March 2020! They blocked my entrance and exit from my garage. They would not move their trucks. They take a very Long time to move people. They ate lunch and littered all over. Look for different movers! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Ryan Kennedy quoted me $675.00 for a fairly straightforward move less than 3 miles from Riverside to Brookfield, Illinois. The move was supposed to be handled by 3 employees (Ken, Steve H. & Raul, Jr.) and take up to 4 hours. The company added a 4th employee (Leonano H.) at the destination because the movers they sent were not capable of moving furniture and 1 beverage refrigerator by themselves. The movers "got lost" during the 5 minute drive between sites, damaged the floors & walls while moving the items, left soda cans and shrink wrap behind both inside and outside of my new home and damaged several items, including my 65' Samsung TV. The move ended up taking 6 hours and the company charged me $1,462.85. Upon discovering the damage, I reported it to the company. I was advised to fill out a claim form and document the damage. I sent photographs and an executed claim form the same day. I was told a company representative would be in touch to acknowledge receipt of the form and address the damage. I called the company 3 times and left messages but no one returned my call. I then received an email with a letter attached denying my claim outright. I finally spoke to Judy Bagdon, the claim manager, after refusing to be placed in her voice mail yet again. Ms. Bagdon stated she was not sending anyone to inspect the damage, it did not matter whether the movers damaged the property because I signed a form stating "the shipment was delivered in 'apparent' good condition", and that I could not sue the company if I did not like her/the insurance carrier's decision because I waived my right to do so. It is rare that you find a service company which cares so little about its customers and absolutely refuses to take responsibility for clearly negligent employees. Alex and his team did a great job moving a master vanity to the third floor. Our staircase was too narrow so they had to lift it using a lift truck and get it in through the 3rd floor. They were on time, precise and quick. The got the job done quickly and with no damage. I'd definitely recommend them and work with them again. read more

I wouldn't even give them 1 Star! They arrived at 915, but didn't leave until 4:45! It was 4 people moving me. Damage was done to my home, when I called I never received a reply! They over charged me for packing material; however they left all these items at my home! Never use this company, they are a dishonest group of people! read more

I have previously used them and unfortunately they have gotten worse. They are HORRIBLE!! We got the quote to move my college student into a one bedroom when they arrived the price went up $300 before they even started to work. They left Romeoville heading to Chicago and arrived almost 4 hours later. They didn't answer our calls to see what happened or where they were. When they arrived they refused to give us items unless we paid them the additional $300 stating the job took an extra 3 hours. They left furniture in the foyer of the apartment building which we had to move. Electronics and other valuables are missing. Save yourself the trouble and go with another company. read more

I called Midway Moving & Storage to move a large aquarium. I mentioned I'd like the job done as soon as possible. The company interpreted this to mean "make any necessary sacrifices in required manpower and equipment to get this done today." This was not communicated to me until I called to leave feedback afterwards. One mistake that was on my end was the estimated weight. I estimated a range of 500-700 pounds and the aquarium actually weighed about 800 pounds. I was quoted for 4 movers. In hindsight this should have been a red flag as aquariums of this size usually need about 8 people. The foreman realized this and they added an additional 2 people. The main issue is the movers did not have glass suction cups. Moving an aquarium without glass suction cups makes the job tremendously difficult. There isn't really anything to grab onto without them. In order to lift the aquarium onto the stand, they had to build a ramp and slowly inch/raise the aquarium higher. This ended up taking over two hours. With suction cups and appropriate manpower, this would take 2 minutes. The foreman was also rude to his workers. He took his frustrations out on the weaker/older workers. Some of them had some pretty good ideas/insights but the foreman was very dismissive of them. Because they didn't have the necessary equipment, they could not center the aquarium on the stand. At one point I was told "this is the best we can do." Because of this, I had to buy my own suction cups and will need to get 1-2 other people to help adjust the tank on the stand. When I called the following day to leave this feedback, I was offered cubs tickets but was told that nothing could be done about the fact that the lack of equipment turned a 3 hour quote into a 6 hour charge. On the positive side, scheduling was easy. Everyone I spoke to throughout the entire moving process was courteous. The workers managed to complete the job without the necessary equipment. read more

I work for a non-profit. We hired this company to move and store our items. They will jack up their prices at every turn. The move costs almost doubled and finally paying to get our stuff out of storage, we were charged an extra $2,000 for leaving their facility. What a terrible company! Every problem that you could have with a moving company happened with them, broken furniture: check, forgetting things in the old apartment: check, losing the screws of a shelf so it couldn't be assembled back: check, being overcharged: check, emailing customer service and not getting a reply: check. After all these things happened, I contacted several times and didn't receive a reply. I had to complain through the BBB and finally received a reply which did not address any of my complaints other than the broken furniture. And even for that, the response said that they would only pay for about a third of what the object was worth. read more

HIDE YOUR JEWELRY I am very disappointed to be writing this review. I've used Midway Moving in the past and always had fairly good experiences. However, my last move resulted in two diamond rings missing from two separate houses along the move route. I noticed my engagement ring was missing the evening of the move after the movers had left. I immediately started looking everywhere for the ring thinking it might have fallen out of my jewelry box - I searched in the carpet, in the bathroom vents, under the sink, etc. I did not want to accuse anyone of theft; even though the thought did cross my mind, I decided to give the movers the benefit of the doubt. However, when I spoke with my mother two days later she told me her diamond ring also went missing the day of the move (my parents' house was the original destination of our move). At that point I knew I could stop looking for my ring - I knew it was stolen and so was my mother's ring. I've had my ring for three years, and I've never once misplaced or lost it. My mother has had her ring for over 32 years, and she has never misplaced or lost it. It's too much of a coincidence that both of our rings would go missing the very same day - much less the same day Midway Movers were in both of our houses. I called Midway Moving to report the issue and was told I would receive a call back after they "looked into it." As of today I still have not received a response - not even an "I'm sorry." I am heartbroken to think of how hard my husband worked to save up the money to buy that ring for me. Aside from the money lost, the ring also had sentimental value - it was the ring my husband held in his hands when he got down on one knee and proposed to me; it is the ring that was blessed on our wedding day. Now, it's gone forever. Furthermore, I'm devastated that I invited a criminal(s) into my parents' house where my mother had her prized possession stolen, too. read more
