what a local gem! I knew we were in for a good experience when our Monday morning wait time was 15 mins. The Midland definitely gives "your grandmas dining room vibes", which is delightful. I noticed immediately how friendly and attentive the staff are. Our waitress, Kelly, was so kind and accommodating. My husband enjoyed the Hungry Sally breakfast that includes delicious, fluffy pancakes and I had the early riser special which comes with biscuits and gravy. Everything was so yummy! The prices are good, but the website needs to be updated as they are several dollars more on the current menu. We look forward to returning!

Midland is a great local no frills type of joint. It's always packed for breakfast and the customers are predominately groups of older men. The food is what you would expect from this kind of place. Standard diner offerings serving up comfort food with efficiency. My omelet was good. The grits were cold. The home fries were awesome.

We stopped in here for breakfast on a fairly busy Saturday morning, but only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant is comfortable and has an authentic local flair. From what we saw, the diners were a mix of elderly singles, couples, and families, and they seem to do a nice takeout business also. The staff were very friendly and our server (Brandy, I think) was excellent. Good food at good prices. Thank you!

A good, clean family restaurant with a diverse menu consisting of comfort food and including some healthy options. Service is always friendly. Prices are reasonable. My meat (grilled Alaskan Pollock) and 2 (steamed veggies and a fruit cup) was $7.69 including choice of bread (yeast roll). Plentiful; hot and fresh. I've eaten here twice when I've been in Alcoa. Convenient and quick leaving satisfied and full both times.

Food was excellent & inexpensive. Waitress was wonderful even though they were short handed. Definitely will be back when in the area!

The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. In between meals, we made sure to stay active to earn our appetite. The property offers access to great trails in the Smokies which we took advantage of as well as a lovely outdoor pool with a view. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We decided to take the plunge and we are so happy we did. It's a 3 night minimum and frankly a great idea to take it all in. We enjoyed the following activities ; Fly Fishing, wine tasting , the spa , a farm tour , & tomato tasting. All were spectacular and unique to themselves. The culinary experience is nothing short of a Michelin experience for dinner. The price is all inclusive , sans your alcohol. The service is world class and the staff makes you feel so welcome. Whether it's a special occasion or a bucket list item , I would say it's a must in your lifetime !! Side note- We thought this would be a one and done. However, the level of experience and ability to unplug was extremely therapeutic. Hope you enjoy the review by LIKING it and sharing feedback :).

We were greeted right away and were able to take a table. Small dining area, with very limited seating. Nice warm cozy vibe including Bob Ross on the tv. The food came out quickly. Hot and fresh. I got the Snoring Bear Breakfast. I chose the Cajun seasoning for the tilapia and it was a lil bland. I probably could have asked for more seasoning, so that's on me. The rest was great. Eggs cooked to perfection. My wife chose the fish platter and she said the fish was delicious. The fries were a lil over seasoned and she had to rub some of the fries off. As for the drinks, cans of Coke, Sprite, etc are $1.99 each. A lil pricey but it is clearly marked on the menu. My only complaint is I ordered a water and was charged 50 cents. It's not listed anywhere on the menu, so I was surprised to see it on my bill. Overall, I would probably stop here again for a quick bite if I'm in the area. Nice little place, and the service is great!

Right when we walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation. It was our first time, so we didn't realize one was needed. When I said no and asked if we should have had one, the host responded, "Oh, that would have helped." That alone felt a little off-putting. We even offered to come back another time, but she said they had a table available--just that it was reserved for 1:00 PM (it was 11:55). We asked if that meant we'd need to leave by then, and while they tried to reassure us, it definitely set the tone for a rushed experience. We had barely sat down when the waitress immediately asked if we were ready to order. Caught off guard, we asked for water and coffee first. As soon as those arrived, we quickly ordered beignets, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy--trying to be mindful of their time constraint. Unfortunately, our food took over 35 minutes to come out... which didn't align at all with the expectation that we'd be out before 1:00. When it finally arrived, the food was underwhelming at best. The chicken was okay, but the waffles and biscuits and gravy were cold. And the service? Just as cold. Overall, the experience felt rushed, unwelcoming, and disappointing from start to finish. Needless to say, we won't be returning. I truly hope they reconsider how they treat guests--especially first-time visitors who come in excited to try their restaurant.

If I'd had more time, I would have loved hanging out here for a while. I only managed to get here about 45 minutes to close, so their selection was understandably if somewhat disappointingly quite picked over. I wound up with a cranberry oat scone and a blueberry and raspberry hand tart. The employee was very pleasant and warm. I appreciated her eagerness to help and positive attitude despite my late arrival. The baked goods sadly didn't really live up to my expectations. The cranberry oat scone was the much better of the two; it was pleasantly sweet and had the proper scone texture and only a little dry. Unfortunately, the hand tart had several edges that I discovered later had been burnt. This impacted the flavor of the whole item and sadly diminished it greatly. The fruit filling was tasty at least, though I didn't get much raspberry from it -- mostly blueberry. I'd be down to try again in the future, just would come earlier in the day when the selection is a bit larger and the products available are a bit more "choice," let's say. I appreciated the kind service and lovely vibes!
