To be fair, I don't think I'm going to find a 5 star deli in TN. And here's why. I'm born and raised eastern PA within one hour of Philly, where we have banging hoagies everywhere, with far superior rolls. I will say this was a very good deli and even the pickles had a garlic bite. I would say 4 stars out of 5 beside the soups were slightly lacking with a bit of a gelatinous thickness/quality. Reminded me of Wawa from up north. read more

Always a good selection of food to choose from. My fave is the club sandwich. Service is fast at the counter and getting your food, even during the lunch hour. read more

Got a to go order. No cheese on my veggie spud. How do you miss the main ingredient? And barely any ingredients on my sandwich - puny little thing. Are yall okay today? read more

Great service lovely staff! great food, my favorite is the full veggie spud. The ambience of this place is warm and cozy makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. read more

The Reuben was good, they stack a lot of corned beef on there, the swiss was flavorful, the kraut a bit sparse and the thousand island just right but the bread was barely toasted so it didn't have the texture I was looking for and that is what cost the missing star -- making it a 4 :) I was hoping for a crispy and grilled sandwich and got what I think was a warm pressed one but not very toasty. The potato salad was fantastic! I REALLY liked it, REALLY LIKED IT! In fact, I have to say that it kind of outshined the Reuben! read more

Ordered a sandwhich Togo. When I walked in there was a girl standing behind the registers eating food which was unsanitary in my opinion. I got home, and found a hair in one of my sandwiches, and the pickle was left out. Do better. read more

Best Reuben Sandwich I've had in decades! Veggie sandwich is also very good! Drinks are supertall and staff is friendly! read more

McAlister's Deli - Delis Near Me - Alcoa, Tennessee

This place is a great lunch business! It's a little on the pricy side for just one person but has great food. I usually get the combination of half sandwich and half salad. That alone is about $15-17. The food is delicious though so this is a treat for me to go occasionally. I really like the sandwiches and they will put my blt on a croissant. read more

Excellent place. We only had salads but they were really good. Fair priced and quick service. It reminded me a bit of a Panera but less pricy and the salads were unbelievable. read more

The sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Customer service has always been friendly and quick.

My wife and I were in the mood for soup and a sandwich, so we stopped by here. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon, but all of the service went quickly. We walked right up to the register and each ordered the half club and cup of potato soup. We took our seats, and our food was delivered to our table within about 10 minutes. The sandwich was was very good. I especially like the sweet mustard they used to create a unique and tasty flavor. The potato soup was a bit bland, but hearty. Overall, it was a good meal and a good value as well. Employees were constantly keeping up with bussing and cleaning the tables for the steady stream of customers. read more

McAlister's Deli - Half club and potato soup - Delis Near Me - Alcoa, Tennessee

Great lunch spot. I've always had efficient service and high quality food. I especially love their salads. Today I tried their Pecanberry salad and it was wonderful. The blueberries were enormous and so sweet. My husband had a loaded potato and loved every bite. read more

That was $8.09. Described as four cheeses with tomato. When I took it to the young man at the front, he just shrugged me off. I was obviously not pleased with my order and what I had received, but no one seemed to care. The lack of training with complaint resolution was horrible. They also left off my wife's soup. When I approached the counter and asked for it, the young man had to convince the lady in the back, obviously the one in charge, to let me have it. She grimaced like it was a scam. Horrible guest interaction again. The lack of training showed throughout. The young man asked the question, "anything else?" after every item ordered. No suggestive selling or up sell. I do not frequent this establishment, but my wife absolutely loves the club and the sweet tea. If I do return, I won't be ordering the cheese melt and soup, not for $8.09. I don't care how much purveyor prices have increased, that's got to be a 10% food cost item there! Also, I understand the effect staffing levels and lack of applicants had had on businesses, especially the hospitality industry. But, it is my opinion that when you have only a select few that will do the job that many should be doing, you train these individuals extremely well and follow up with support and guidance. I saw none of this today. read more

Excellent food, good service and good ambiance. I've only tried this one once but in Northern Virginia we went there every week and they have the best Reuben's on the planet! read more

Great food, great staff ! Don't like that you are embarrassed by check out procedure that makes you decide on tipping amount ( even if you're not tipping). I realize they clear tables and deliver to your table, but this is a walkup restaurant. read more

Yum yum yum! I love McAlisters and this location is always so quick! The only thing I don't like is the parking lot but that's not their fault. I always bring clients here for lunch because of the excellent service and food! read more

McAlisters Deli is a good option to grab some lunch. Sweet tea, sandwiches, soups, & baked potatoes. I choose McAlisters before a flight out of Knoxville's airport. Have you ever been to a Corner Bakery? It's kind of the same idea, where you order at the counter and bring your number to whichever table you choose, so that a server can bring you over your food. I usually go with the half sandwich and half soup options. At this particular location I went with the California Rueben, which was a lighter take on your traditional Rueben by using turkey meat. Yum. I, of course, went with a sweet tea to wash it all down. When in the South! read more

The food is always good but... you get small portions and the prices are too much for what you get. Same with the drinks, except they are even more overpriced than the food. I guess you pay for the atmosphere. read more

My teenage daughter loves this place. She gets the french dip with mac & cheese everytime. The avacodo chicken salad (?) is my go-to. The food is good, but the price is high for counter service. read more

Decent food compared to other Mcalister's, but I ordered take out and several things were left out. No pickle. No salt and pepper. No lemonade. Covid should not effect things such as that. read more

Really good place really tasty food. Kinda small place to move around but I love it here

Food was fine but waiting 30 minutes for a sandwich is unacceptable. Will be a while before I revisit this McAllisters

Great food and atmosphere, staff was friendly expect for the one who took my order. She was not having a good day and made it obvious she was annoyed having to take my order and it was a simple one . But other then that a great place to eat read more

We had chicken and turkey sandwiches which were really good. Ingredients were fresh. The service was great. Will definitely be coming back.

We were deciding between Panera and here and boy did we make a great choice!! Saying the the food was incredible is an understatement! My father, husband and daughter went. We had 2 different kinds of clubs, a French dip, Mac & cheese, and broccoli and cheddar soup! We also had brownies and Cinnabon cheesecake. The sandwiches were SO FRESH and so scrumptious, I literally don't know how they did it! Their pickles were extra sour- which is great considering they are a deli and that's to be expected! Their Mac and cheese was childhood memories kinda Mac & cheese! Their lemonade was incredible- it tasted like Chick-fil-A and Panera bread's lemonade had a baby- it's so good! I believe it's free refills! My husband bought 2 slices of cheesecake to go and we sneaked a bite of one inside the restaurant- it was SO good, we ate it there and ordered two more slices to go! I wish there were more locations, but we'll definitely be making the trip to the other locations cause this food was too good to not have again! read more

Try the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Mmmm You might also like the tea, it's legendary. Staff and location are great. Friendly and helpful. I love this place read more

It had been awhile since my last visit. Ordering was fast. Apparently there is a certain way things must be done when it comes to the table number as I was corrected and told to leave the number alone. Service was ok but the server acted frustrated that he had to bring it out. Food was good and fresh. read more

Great deli not far from airport. Hit this spot right off the plane based on Yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. Great potato soup and sweet tea. Spicy chicken sandwich was yum!! read more

I keep forgetting this place is here because it's tucked into the corner of a small strip mall that's across the street from everything else. But I like the chain so I gave this location a shot. First thing I notice is that it's huge inside. From the outside it looks small. Second thing I noticed is how super nice everyone was. I felt like I was at Disney, where every smiles and greets you. At first I didn't trust them because of this but eventually I learned to like it. They made me a little happier by being happy. What do you know - it's catchy! I like that they have outside seating. You could even bring a well-behaved pet. The food is on par with other franchise locations, which is to say consistently excellent for this type of restaurant. If I remember it's here, I'll be back. read more

This is one of my favorite places to get a sandwich and a side in Alcoa TN. I always like to try new things here, they're always putting out new sandwiches, soups and stuff, it's always a good time at McAlister's Deli. Staff is knowledgable about menu items read more

I love this place so much!. The food has great portions and is delicious! I was upset before that they discontinued Mashed potatoes, but they brought them back! I have now tried 7 different menu items for a variety and they all come out wonderful! So much to choose from and so much goodness! read more

My husband and I went to McAlister's Deli shortly after it opened and were just not that impressed.A week or so ago, we were in a time crunch, and McAlister's was the closest and fastest choice for lunch. Wow! Their menu has expanded and I believe there is something there for everyone. I had a hard time choosing because of the many good options. We will be going there again soon. I got the reuben (they also have the turkey reuben), and my husband got the french dip. He got potato salad with his. I got potato chips. All was wonderful! I can't wait to go back! read more

Love the consistency that McAlisters has. Tonight I had the orange cranberry turkey sandwich with mixed veggies, really good. In fact, the veggies were some of the best I've had including 5 star restaurants. read more

I ordered the roast beef and it tasted as it was microwaved and not fresh. As a side I ordered the steamed broccoli. After waiting for 15 minutes for my food they told me they were out of broccoli. I then was asked what I wanted? I basically was forced to select chips since now my sandwich was in front of me. They also didn't know what an Arnold Palmer was... overall I spent $20 for a meal that was worth no more than $8. read more

I'm not sure why, but every single time I have attempted to order take-out from this McAlisters, my order was horribly messed up, and the employees were unhelpful and even rude when addressing the issue. I adore McAlisters Deli, and I love dining in here at this location, but there needs to be some serious improvement when it comes to take out orders and customer service. read more
