Very disappointed, and very UPSET. The fact that I was lied to and the amount of time I wasted with this company I will never get back. I took my vehicle in for an oil change, didn't expect for it to take a long time since I dropped it off early and there weren't alot of vehicles in the garage spaces. I decided to leave it there and had my wife pick me up to go eat. Took about an hour, little more, gave them a call and told me they were backed up and it would take a couple of hours. Ok, fine, 3 hours later no call. Let me remind you this was for an oil change. Called them and said, "oh yes your car is ready". Thought great, took me 20min to drive there, as soon I pulled into the parking lot I noticed my car was in the same spot as I left it, as if it never moved. Ok maybe a coincidence right? So I get to the service desk and they tell me the oil change is free, maybe because I was upset it took so long. Fast forward to a couple of months, took my car to break max for a check engine issue. Much closer to where I live so took it and got a big surprise. The technician took me to my car to show me the oil and I was disgusted! He asked where I took it to get an oil change and told him where, it was in fact gunky old oil he said. It shouldn't have looked the way it looked if it was serviced 2 months ago. He explained it could be either they didn't even change my oil or they used old oil! Incredible, I was speechless. Time wasted and really just in shock. Please be careful and be aware of where you take a piece of property to take care of and invest so much money in. read more

Okay so here's an update to the brake work on my car. $900 later from about 2 months ago, I took my car to another shop, and they said Midas had used very cheap parts, such as inferior brake pads, that scored the rotors, causing even more problems. I had to have all four rotors turned again to eliminate the scratches. Long story short, I got my brakes done CORRECTLY and the bill was $300. So I paid $900 for a crappy brake job. I should send Midas the bill. And any Midas "customer service" rep who's reading this, don't even send me your fake "apology" replies. I'm beyond done with Midas and very upset with this excuse of a repair facility. How does this place stay in business? read more

I would highly recommend this shop to everyone! The guys at Midas- all of them, but namely Mike and Jeremy- took excellent care of me. I started with a routine oil change, and got such great service, that I decided to bring my car back to them for some other routine maintenance I was in need of (tires, engine belt, transmission flush, etc) and they really went above and beyond. I never felt I was being "up-sold" or talked down to (and as a female, who happens to know fairly little about cars, this was HUGE for me). Came in for an oil change and a tire rotation with a coupon on got on groupon . The mechanic told me that my a/c was "frayed" needed a new battery and replace the transmission fluid, and other little things totaling $800. When I said can I love k at the frayed belt, he said sure, but then said, " well it's not really frayed, just a little worn" . I just put a new transmission in my car and all the fluids were replaced. He says, well sometimes a little sediment can get in. Really?? Is it because I'm a woman and you think I don't know anything or your just another place trying to take my money. Oh, when I got my car back, he never did show me my frayed belt. read more

I took my Explorer to the Ina Rd Midas and they did a thorough job. They also discovered a leak in the water pump and outlet housing which might have left me stranded on the road as I was going out of town that weekend. I recently moved to Tucson, and needed a place to change the oil in my car. Several people recommended this particular Midas location (close to where I live!), and I am glad I listened. The first time I came, the wait was longer than I could do, so I made an appointment. I also told them I had gotten a canvas bag stuck in my hatchback and somehow it got entangled with the lock and I couldn't open it. Leo and Jeremy (STELLAR service!) had a look and fixed it, presto! I also said (with embarrassment) that I didn't know how to put air in my tires and asked if they could do it along with the oil change, but they both said, "No problem, we'll just do it now. Two things I couldn't do, and they did it for free. I made an appointment for the oil change and Jeremy remembered me when I arrived, which was nice. I waited a short time and did a little shopping and it was done. I can't emphasize how superb the customer service is. They will do everything they can to accommodate your schedule, and they address any concerns patiently and cheerfully. And for someone like me, who knows nothing about cars, it is very helpful to have them explain things to me in a way I can understand. You can be sure I will be back! read more

Do not trust these guys!!! They told me that my tie rod ends were bad on my truck and wanted $309 for the repair. I had my company mechanic look at it and determine that there was nothing wrong with them and it was an upper control arm bushing instead. They were going to replace it and then tell me that I needed more repairs. read more

Took my car to get the royal flush & oil change. Got a call a few hours later saying all of my brakes were bad & needed fixed. Said the total cost would be $1500. Said no thanks multiple times and he was being very pushy and persistent that they needed to do it. Finally stopped after telling him no many times. I want to start off by saying this was my first time at Midas. We took our Prius in that needed an oil change and definitely new tires. The tires had over 100,000 miles on them and the oil change was over by 1,000 miles. The guy at the front who's name was PJ was super honest. We had the choice to walk away without getting new tires, but with the honesty from PJ we knew that new tires were a must. The safety of our family cane first and the price was unbeatable. We won't ever go back to Firestone , we have found our forever car care location. Highly recommend to anyone we talk to and will be looking forward to going back! read more

OMG, so I've been going to this Midas shop for my car for about 2 yrs. I have to say that most times and experiences have been fair. Nothing really to complain about EXCEPT your HIGH PRICES. To each their own. I choose NOT TO PAY outrageous prices if I can get better quotes over the phone for 1/2 the price (Mike) Midas quotes. So I choose to use this location/company to care for my oil change/car care needs. Today I have to say after reading the Yelp reviews and my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I just dodged a huge bullet and walked away from the PROBLEMS THIS PLACE HAS (MIKE)! Here's my experience.... At time of drop off I asked him to look into a noise (rattle) that I've been hearing. After returning from lunch he gives me the news of new struts and shocks and strut mounts. He pressures me to open a Midas Credit Card to cover the cost of it all. With the pressure he was doing me a favor of taking $707.00 OFF (Free shocks and labor) the top and still wanting to charge me $964. So from past experience I decline as I need to look further into this. Thanks anyway. He then comps me my oil change.....WOW, didn't expect that. Now here's a side note to this experience, another lady was in the lobby awaiting a ride. I very nicely and quietly asked if she comes here often. She said yes and I said I did too for oil change only as there prices are so HIGH! (One woman to another, just looking out so she would know). After I leave with a free oil change I think twice about my comment but over now. I'm in the target parking lot when MIKE calls me on my cell to nastily ask me why I would tell "HIS" customer they were expensive and to go somewhere else? I stood my ground and said "Lookin out for other women". He blows and says I've done nothing but take care of you and I didn't even charge you for your oil change. He is loud and rude and obnoxious at this point. Tells me I am no longer welcome back for service. All he's done is take care of me and hangs up on me. Oh My G_D I lose it. I proceed to drive back to Midas. I walk in and he (MIKE) is no where to be seen. I hear a mechanic look at me and then tell him she standing at the counter. Mechanic goes back to working with a couple of looks my way. MIKE (while in the bay) sends same mechanic to customer service me. I demand to pay for my services as I do not ask for free handout. I come regularly and I pay regularly. He looks at me and says I'm going to have to get Mike for that. I am left standing for sometime waiting on him. Mind you there are two customers sitting in the lobby. Wonder what their thoughts are on Mike after he bad mouths a customer to a customer. It's one thing consumer to consumer, Not Company/CORPORATION (MIDAS-MIKE) to a customer. He finally arrives with another mechanic in tow for protection. I demand to pay for my service oil change as I do not take hand outs. His response is "It's ok, I already called corporate". As if I'm the problem here. I said I do not care charge my card. I confirmed to him I WILL NOT BE RETURNING WITH THIS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Ok, ok he says and I leave. I do not have to explain myself to anyone and the fact he calls me and wants me to explain myself gives him what right MIDAS? Him blowing up is SO UNPROFESSIONAL! These guys are not to be trusted. They run a pretty nice-looking operation, with smiles and first-name service. I have been impressed with the way they have treated me in the past. This morning, however, they lost a customer. My wife had been complaining about some squeaky brakes for a few weeks, and there was some shakiness on braking, so I made an appointment with Midas. They put the car up on the lift, inspected the brakes, and then broke the news to me. My pads were almost worn through (they said less than 3mm was left), and the rotors were "below spec" and couldn't be resurfaced to fix the shakiness. So new pads, and new rotors, both front and back. He also suggested a brake fluid flush (though they hadn't inspected the brake fluid). All told, it was going to be $700 and change. I was almost ready to just have it done, but I decided to at least call around to get a few competitive bids from others. The guys explained that he "happened" to have all the parts in stock today, and that he could get it taken care of in under an hour since the car was already "taken apart." Luckily I stuck to my guns and left. As it happened, I ended up going to another place that impressed me with their price and service. So I'm sitting now at a brake shop, expecting to have them do the same work prescribed by Midas. But guess what? My pads and rotors are fine. The guy took me out to SHOW me the pads, and there is AT LEAST 5-7 mm left on both the front and back. The rotors are plenty thick for resurfacing as well. So I'm having this place do the resurfacing for $140. Sorry, Midas. You just lost a long-time customer because you tried to con me into paying for service I didn't need. You just lost all my future oil changes (used to go to Midas all the time) for two cars, as well as any other typical service needs. And in today's internet-connected, user-review-centric world, you are likely going to lose much more than just my $700 of brake service. I hope this review discourages hundreds of your future customers from doing business with you. read more

I'm not sure where Dave & Kamal went, but this was a clean shop. I have seen a bunch of those con games before.This isn't one of them. Sometimes you get different opinions and that is OK. To give this place a one star is ridiculous. I went there for an oil change today, very skeptical because of the previous reviews and I was happily surprised. Yes they identified some problems, but they gave me the option of taking care of it now or next time. They identified the same issue that another shop did, nothing more and nothing less. ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE with a mechanic shop in my 35 years of living over at the Midas on 3621 W Ina Rd, Tucson, AZ 85741 headed by their so called "MANAGER " (MIKE). If you love horrible customer service this is your one stop shop! BACKSTORY: Recently purchased a Honda civic with non working AC. Took it in on Saturday 8/18/18 @ 1 pm spoke with "MANAGER MIKE" who said no problem we've got 2 cars ahead of you then well take a look @ it. I received a call back from MIKE @ 5:30 pm same day informing me the wiring to my new compressor is all jenky, as they were testing the compressor the car just shut off and now it wont start. He said he is sure it's a bad CAM SENSOR and will have one in the shop first thing Monday morning 8/20/18 and will get it installed then call me as asap. 3 pm on Monday 8/20/18 rolls around I return home from work after taking uber still no call. I call shop, MANAGER MIKE answers and informs me the cars ECU is now bad and that he ordered one and will have it in the shop in 2 days, as soon as it's installed he would shoot me an update call. 3 days roll by no call at all. Mean while i"m Ubering to work each day which costing me $60+ a day. "I" call the shop Thursday 8/23/18 at 2 pm low and behold MIKE answers and tell me that a storm rolled through and discounted all his systems and that he wasn't sure if the part had arrived yet but will check later this evening as his systems just went up and let me know ASAP. No call Thursday rest of day. Friday 8/24/18 rolls around "I" call the shop yet again @11:45 am MIKE answers gives not one apology for not keeping me updated, but informs me his guy is working on installing the new ECU and not sure the time frame, but will call me first thing Saturday morning. I then inform MIKE that i must have transportation for the weekend for business and he then stated he would pay for a rental until my car was fixed. Not once did he mention anything about billing for the rental or how he wanted to set that up. Friday afternoon I go pick up rental car which is charged on my personal debit card $250. Not one call Saturday 8/25/18. (SIDENOTE- drove by shop Sunday, my car was sitting in the parking lot.) Monday 8/27/18 rolls around not one call. I decided to drive down @ 3 pm and talk face to face. Of course it's MIKES day off. I speak with Ass. Manager Jeremy, Nice kid, but has no clue whats going on. He goes out to the bay to talk to the mechanics and comes back saying they still need to marry the new ECU to the car and it should take 3 hrs. I asked him why my car is just sitting out side and not being worked on and why haven't i received any update calls? Dude says IDK. Mike will be back in tomorrow. I made Jeremy write down my name, number, time of arrival in front of me for MIKE and gave very specific instructions to relay the message to MIKE to call me ASAP tomorrow morning, as the rental car in on a day to day basis and continually charging my debit account. Guess what??? NOT one call Tuesday 8/28/18! Wednesday 8/29/18 MIKE finally calls me @ 2 pm (no apologies) informing me he got the car running and that all it need was a different AC compressor as the one installed was the wrong one. Quoted me $600-800 to install new one out the door. Informed him i will pass and be there @ 4 pm to pick my car up after taking back the rental. He tells me to call him once at the rental to have them take a CC payment over the phone. Enterprise refused to do it. So now i'm playing Mr. Middleman and talking back and forth between rental shop and Mike about how the bill is getting paid, ON MY PHONE After 30 minutes of arguing and 3 managers later they except a PO from Midas and say I'll get credited back. All in the meanwhile MIKE is talking them down about the rental car price say this is ridiculous, as all they had in stock that day was Pickup truck and the bill ran $320. (NOT MY FAULT) After that 1 hr of my wasted time I walk from rental car shop to the MIdas. Speak to MIKE who says they broke my key and made me a new one "OK" and that he'll pull car around. Not one apology for horrible customer service/communication. We part ways as I leave shop my radio shuts down and says Error code 7 and car starts beeping at me. SO i turn around head back to shop as they are nearing closing and run back inside to ask them WTF? They send a tech out to type in a code that doesn't end up working. So we walk back inside talk to MIKE who says HE WILL CALL Honda first thing in the morning 8/30/18 to figure out problem and call me ASAP.... then says I hope you've got a good singing voice in the mean time. Took a lot to bite my tongue but i did. Guess what. 8/30/18 NO CALL Absolutely fed up with this experience. Have wasted so much of my time and energy. Will be sure to let everyone I know and then everyone they know NVR to go to this MIDAS! I'm sure they're are some honest good dudes in the shop with this guy MIKE is definitely sinking the ship. Where do i begin ... I went in there for a $13 oil change and they came back with "well you need $1100+ work done on your car mind you it's a 2015 and I've only owned it for a year .... i said i didn't have that right now and he informed me they had a credit card .... that being said, i KNOWINGLY applied for their credit card and got approved for $1500. After i had left thinking nothing of the credit card being charged ... i called my dad (who is in avionics) and asked him if i should do all this through them and he said absolutely not cause the price was ridiculous (as it was for 3 things) so i immediately called the store back letting them know my parents weren't comfortable with the price so i needed to put all of this on hold and i would get back to them on when we could proceed this process. this is the messed up part ... I DID NOT KNOW just because i had been approved, they were gonna CHARGE the Credit card RIGHT THEN AND THERE WITHOUT JACK SHIT BEING DONE TO MY CAR. i only had found out two weeks later the card was charged because credit karma notified me that my credit went down 30 POINTS! (I still have not receive the credit card in the mail) I obviously logged right into credit karma to see why and it showed that their synchrony car care credit card had a balance of $1,152.05!!!!!! I called Mike the guy who issued me the credit card and he said that, the day this whole thing started he called them canceling everything and put in to reverse the balance THAT HE DIDNT EVEN TELL ME WAS CHARGED IN THE FIRST PLACE. I give it a week and a half and i called him again cause i hadn't noticed a change on the card balance yet... i asked him to call again and make sure and he said "yeah I'll do it right now" .... now it comes to yesterday literally almost a month later and nothing is done. So i call him AGAIN. he PROMISES me he will call them "right away, as soon as he gets off the phone with me" and i finally said F this I'm calling synchrony bank. I call the bank and they give me the number for the Midas car care credit directly so i call them.... they tell me , NO ATTEMPTS, NO CALLS, NO REVERSAL SUBMISSION, had even been attempted yet. They proceed to tell me, if i go about disputing it through them instead of Midas doing it it'll take 60 days to investigate AND i still have to make all the minimum payments or I'll get charge an additional $27 for the late fee. .... yea no. So I GO TO MIDAS and i ask him what's up and he says "well i don't have power" i saw the building was out of power but ... your phones work and your power hasn't been out for a month so??? i just walked away at that point letting him know he has one more chance. And once again he had PROMISED me he would call them tomorrow being that his power should definitely be back on by then. So it's tomorrow, (today) and i call him at about 1pm and he instantly gets an attitude with me... "i JUST got power 5 minutes ago. I WILL CALL them RIGHT NOW" and hangs up. ... it is currently 7:55pm and i just recently got off the phone with synchrony bank around 7:30pm... they inform me NO CALLS NO ATTEMPTS NO NOTHING was made today. ... I WILL BE GOING THERE TOMORROW let's just say that for the least. Only giving this place one star cause it won't let me post without rating. read more

I took my truck in for an after market muffler to be purchased and installed, the truck had no issues before arriving had passed a complete inspection not 3 months prior with no issues found. After the install of the muffler I had an exhaust leak same day as install, after driving for a short period my check engine light came on with an error code directly related to an exhaust leak. I returned a week or so later to have it checked due to the holidays. I pointed out the area where I had seen water dripping from the exhaust next to muffler as a source of leak. The tech put the truck on the rack and I'm excitedly looked at the converters and found a leak not at all where I had specified it was leaking...hmm wonder why??? They said the leak at the converter was not caused by them and refused to make the repairs to correct the problem, the explanation was it could not be them that broke it because it's to far away from the muffler to have been done during the muffler replacement. I would stay away from this place at all cost my $300 muffler replacement is now a $2000.00 converter replacement or so that's the price the manage/supervisor tossed out at me when saying he'd get me a quote for the cost of fixing the part they clearly broke but only after I asked them how we were going to fix this!!! They did eventually re weld the leak that I noticed and were happy to send me on my way with out even offering to give me a quote for repairs on the converter until I questioned the converter leak they pointed out to me. Horrible customer service horrible workmanship no sense of standing behind the work they perform. Absolute worst car repair experience I've ever had I would say never ever take your vehicle to Midas for anything I wouldn't trust this place to put air in my tire at this point!!! read more
