I have nothing but good things to say about the service here! I was able to walk right in and let the gentlemen working know I needed a tire alignment. They gave me a great price and went right to work on my car.
They were pretty busy but they still worked seamlessly and quickly. There was a small seating area with comfy couches and cable TV while I waited.
When everything was done, the manager went over what was done and things I may need to look into in the near future. However, he was not pushy-salesman-y trying to force me to get a million things done to my car.
I am so happy with their service, I will definitely be back to this shop!
UPDATED OCTOBER 16, 2013*******************
So on Sunday I had a flat tire. I thought not biggie- kinda sucks but I'll drive around on a spare for a couple of days until payday. I knew that I was going to have to put new tires on my car anyway and I was actually going to go back to Big-O Tires to do so.
One thing that stuck out about my visit to Big-O was that they asked me where my key was to my locking lugnuts because they were going to rotate my tires for me (they ended up not rotating them due to the wear on the tires). I told them that I kept the key in the glove compartment and that was that.
When I called my roadside assistance company, they asked if I had custom rims.. they asked if I had the key and I told them yes. As I was looking for my key, I realized that they did not actually put my key back in my glove compartment. So now my car couldn't just have a spare thrown on it- we couldn't even get the bad tire off. So now it had to be towed to my house and sat at my house for days until I could find somewhere to buy the key from (cost me a good $50) and then put on the donut.
Despite how frustrated I was, I called Big-O tires on 6th ave to see if they had it lying around and I could somehow pick it up from them. I got no answer during their office hours.
Because I was gonna be waiting for the tow truck driver for a good hour, I decided to write them an email. I wrote the store an email and didnt get a response.
The next day, I contacted their headquarters in Atlanta. Again, I took a very calm and flexible approach, as I understand things get overlooked sometimes. It took me 3 days to hear back anything from them and this morning I finally get a call back from the manager of Big-O.
I believe his name is Hector.. and the first thing he told me was "well you got a tier alignment done, we dont take the tires off for that".. which immeidately put me, the customer, on the defense. I told him "i am not here to argue with you. all i know is that your employee asked where my key was. that is all i know as your customer and as a consumer. I have no idea what went on in that shop while I was there".
he THEN told me "OH WELL IF YOU WANT TO COME DOWN, I HAVE 2 KEYS SITTING HERE"
Oh really? So you DO have a couple keys "sitting there" and one of them COULD be mine.
Well I'd love the opportunity to come down except that Im on a donut. I have already exceeded my mileage on it and cannot drive any further than what is essential- to work and back.
He was absolutely unwiling to work with me. He was unwillng to help me. He was unwilling to take the extra hour out of his day to have someone from his shop maybe bring me the keys that most possibly one of which could be mine.
I was really disgusted by this. Being a supervisor in customer service, unwillingness to help will definitely not get you very far.
I want everyone to be warned about the foolishness of this Big-O tires and how they just really don't care about the customer.
I will be taking my business to C&J's Tire shop at the recommendation of a close friend. Their prices even beat Big O tires by 30 percent.
Sorry, Big-O. You had the opportunity to make it right but you dropped the ball. read more
