Great Service! I've been very happy with the service I've received here. The work is excellent, and I appreciate how knowledgeable the staff is and how they take the time to explain what's wrong with my car and what they've done to fix it. They're fast, reliable, and actually friendly, which makes a big difference when you're trusting someone with your vehicle. read more

Yesterday was the third time I have brought my fully functioning car to this place for routine maintenance and the third time a larger more expensive repair was required to get my car safely home. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I have an older vehicle so I don't know if that predisposes me to predatory practices, but moments after I recieved a call that my vehicle was ready to be picked up, i got another call saying my battery (which had tested 'low' according to their free diagnostic and would cost me an additional $700+ for them to replace) was now dead and the car wouldn't start. No apology or explanation that the reason the car didn't start is because the technician had drained the battery by leaving the dome light on; I know this because it came on when they jump started it with me in the driver's seat. It was the kind of dome/map light that you have to click on intentionally. What is going on here? And why does a $260 12v prius starter battery cost over $700 to have installed at this place? Highway robbery and no remorse. I was able to install a new battery, purchased at an O'Reilly auto parts store near my house, in minutes. Never again!!! read more

The extent of my knowledge of automotive repair is how to check fluids, change my oil or a tire. Beyond that, I turn to Friendly. Over the last 7 years I have tried a number of local & national chain repair shops, but once I tried Friendly, I stopped looking. If the name of your business boldly implies how you treat your customers, you best do it & they do! Their quotes are fair, yet comprehensive, their attitude is (you guessed it) friendly and their work is prompt and well done. What more could you ask for? This year on Yelp I want to find all the good businesses in the area and highlight them and Friendly Automotive is one of the first that came to mind. Find them off of Ina Road, not too far from I-10. They're tucked into a hodge podge of small businesses. In business for 25 years in Arizona and take care of all makes & models of cars. Don't you wish all businesses were named for how they treat their clients? Life would be so easy. TLDR: Honest, friendly, stress free auto repair at fair price. Family yowned for 25 years. read more

They are accurate and treat their customers politely and honestly. They will check your tire pressure and fill them air if needed if you are a regular customer. read more

I have been taking my 2011 Buick enclave to these guys for a couple years now. I absolutely love them! It says it in the name. They are super friendly. Blue is a great guy and knows his stuff. They do very very thorough work on your car and they don't push on you. They tell you what NEEEDS to be done and what can wait. Cat and Ashley are very sweet and help sort out your schedule and they do have a shuttle to get you to work. (They can't grantee you get to work on time but you'll get there lol) although their pricing has gone up a bit in diagnostic fee I don't care (99) to (125) because I know they do great work and they honor warranty on batteries! I also love the detailed report with pictures they provide. It allows me to show my dad lol who will tell me if we can fix it on our own or if we should just let them do it cause it's a lot of work. Anywho hope you try these guys out when your car is giving you troubles. read more

We were in need of a wheel alignment as our vehicle started to slowly drift to the right. The team corrected the problem without add ons. The tire was the issue which will be brought up at the another tire store. The staff was friendly and explained everything to our satisfaction. read more

Folks, don't believe the crap Jonathan replied to me about my rip off service. I will not have any more to do with that company. They have "free" inspection? It's funny, they charged me $124.95 for the "free" service. read more

Super friendly and easy to work with. They didn't pressure me into making any decisions right away, which I really appreciate. Would recommend them to anyone! read more

This place is amazing They are so kind, friendly, helpful and our car will be brought here from now on for any repair or maintenance needs read more

By far the best customer service and wait time for my vehicle since moving to the NW almost 3 yrs ago. They completed extended warranty work and even did diagnostics to check my spark plugs and battery. Highly recommend Friendly's. It will now be my 'go to' for vehicle maintenance and issues I may have in the future! Thank you! read more

Jonathan and his staff are top notch. I've been going to him and this location for years. I've had numerous services done on multiple vehicles and it has been great service and parts. I'll always be a loyal customer! read more

They were FANTASTIC, I was driving up to Phoenix and my car overheated in Marana from a bad radiator fan. They ran a correct diagnosis. CAT (I believe was her name) greeted me and was so nice! BLUE mainly helped me out and was great with explaining exactly what went wrong with my car. Nicest people ever working there. They even had someone drop me off at the Hotel. Blue told me that he knew my checkout time at my Hotel would be around 11am and that he would have it done by noon and he did! Amazing Customer Service!! If you're looking for a sign to go here, definitely go here! read more

Their customer service was great and their pricing was very reasonable. They fixed the issues with my truck and it came back in great working order. Would definitely recommend them! read more

Excellent (and fast) service! I was able to conveniently schedule my oil change online (and mentioned their coupon!) I received a text to confirm my appointment request was accepted. I showed up a little early so I was quoted about an hour. Within 20 minutes they were going over the included multi-point inspection with me and letting me know it would be off the lift and ready in a few minutes! Super friendly and honest service! My car is only 3 years old so the only additional recommendation was an air filter. Lobby was clean, comfortable and COVID friendly. Lots of antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer available, (and they said to let them know if I needed any additional). Complimentary water and wifi! I will be returning for my next oil change! read more

These are my go- to guys. An honest, thorough auto shop with great technicians. They don't push extras rather informing you and letting you decide. I've even had them wave off a "fix" saying I didn't really need it for what I was using the car for. read more

I needed my brakes checked. Friendly staff checked and found them safe to travel. Thank you all.

WOW- the new store manager (I believe his name was Bobby) and Ashley easily lived up to the exceptional customer service stated on their website. I live in Vail and I was driving my daughter to a campus visit in Flagstaff this past Friday. We hit the Twin Peaks exit and our AC out of nowhere stopped working. Of course it was almost a 100 degrees out and we still had a long way to go. We went to the closest Autozone and than a Firestone and asked if they could just check the fuses; they refused and said I would need to come back next Thursday and of course I started to panic. Long story short, I called Friendly and asked if they had anyone that could just check the fuses. Ashley said we can't do a full AC diagnostic but they could at least take a look a the fuses and give it a quick look over. Needless to say, it wasn't a fuse but the manager tried one other thing and got it working again. I was so relieved I almost started to cry. THANK YOU Friendly for going that extra mile; otherwise, we may have had to turnaround and miss this all important visit. My daughter had her campus visit and learned on Sat she was accepted to this college. YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE and impacted my daughters future!! Although we live in Vail, we will be back. Thanks again for living up to your name!! read more

My family has used Friendly Automotive for some time now and have spent well lover a grand in repairs for a cousin's used car from Michigan that sputtered and leaked oil, yet he needed it done within 48 hours to get back to his job ride share delivering. I depend on the competency of the Maintenance Technicians to find exactly what is wrong the FIRST time. The Techs send the information the Customer service reps (Who are extremely Patient, Friendly, and Knowledgeable ) and they break down what REALLY needs to be fixed, and what can wait. The presentation of the breakdown of price to service / parts is very detailed and user friendly. No hidden fees and the estimated time of completion and cost estimates were spot on. I was surprised and delighted at how the entire staff was knowledgable about my particular part, car, and time remaining. The car runs like the day he drove it here 3 years ago and I got a big hug out of it. Fair prices and dependable, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Awesomeness. read more

LOVE this place!!!! Informative, kind, really sweet people...timely and honest! Home valet service 15 miles away!

Having moved here recently, I didn't know where to take my vehicle for maintenance. I researched and found Friendly Automotive and am extremely happy that I did. They gave me a quote for the brake job and didn't push anything, just let me know what I may need in the future and what the cost would be. The owners are there, professional and friendly. Their name says it all read more

Once again, I had the opportunity to use the services of Friendly Auto, but this time on an emergency basis. My car wouldn't start and had to be flat-bedded to their facility from my garage. Johnathan and his staff diagnosed the problem and made the necessary adjustments-all in the same day. The price was more than fair, the service was outstanding, and the courtesy was much appreciated. Having an old (1978) car from a manufacturer (AMC) that is no longer in business creates certain concerns of reliability. FRIENDLY AUTO dispels those concerns. Wish I had found them sooner. They are all great. read more

I would definitely go to this place again. I needed an oil change and they did it quickly. They came out and told me some other options of things I might have done to my Tahoe but we're not pushy in any way shape or form. A very reasonable price to and coffee and TV in the waiting room. read more

How does this awesome auto shop not have any reviews? So look, if I remember right, it's there used to be another garage there: Guggenheim or something like that: a German-named auto shop. Think I took the Jeep there once, nothing good came of it. I could be wrong, of course. My memory could be skewed-- I've avoided the area because it's just not on my normal route. But now there's Friendly Automotive. I can give a guarantee that they live up to that name in absolute spades. Thursday evening, last week, I got home and the lever handle inside my car attached to the driver's door jammed and broke. Twisted my back trying to crawl out of my car. Didn't occur to me to open my car window and open the door from the outside. But, when it was suggested to me, I found that I had a viable way of getting out of my car without killing my back. Then on Friday, I went to my car after work and the outside handle looked funny. Trying to open the door, the handle came off. No joke. The tow truck (thank God for AAA) took me to Friendly's who'd been recommended to me by Gerber's Auto and Glass. I'm so glad I went to Friendly's. I'm so fortunate that I lucked out that night and they were still open a bit past closing time. And they were friendly and professional, taking the time to explain everything to me even though I was tired and probably didn't understand half of what the owner? Manager? John was saying. They were even able to fix the engine light problem that the AAA Garage tried three times (all failures) to fix! And it didn't take a ton of time, either. If you're in the Marana/Tucson area and need a great, reasonable garage, Friendly Automotive needs to be the top of your list. read more

First time there. I was met at the counter by Leonardo. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I made arrangements to leave my car for an oil maintenance and possibly brakes. Leonardo told me what they would do and get back to me later in the day. He did contact me with info on the condition of the specs of my brakes and an estimate for repair. The estimate seemed reasonable and fair. The work was performed and the cost was a little lower than the estimate. The results were perfect too. When brakes applied no pulling of the wheel, no chattering and no squealing just a steady smooth straight stop. Thanks Friendly for treating me well and doing a great repair job. read more

I had some motor mount issues and they replaced them. Still had issues, and they replaced them again, no extra charge of course. No problems now! Staff is very friendly and they keep you informed on everything they do and why. Yes a little more pricey, but definitely worth it! I give them 10 stars! read more

Such an overall great experience. I had a brake issue that could have been something huge, I was just unsure about it. They checked it out, laid out what the issue was and options I had. No pressure, just information. I really appreciate Jonathan at Friendly for being a good honest guy. For sure my new place to go for all automotive issues, I will recommend highly. read more

I have known Jonathan Richards for over 10 years since he worked at another shop. I followed him and some other employees to Friendly. They are courteous, honest and trustworthy. They never tell me what needs to be done they tell me what they see and what needs to be done first and if one of these things is critical and absolutely has to be done. I wouldn't go anywhere else and recommend them to everyone. Great shop. Great people! read more

Extremely nice staff. I usually have major anxiety walking into any type of repair shop because I have no idea about cars, but the men and women here were extremely nice and helpful. Breath of fresh air! I took my truck in to have a tire mounted and balanced, I had already been turned away from a nearby independent shop because I already had the tire. Was greeted by Ashley, she is pleasant and knowledgeable. Had tire mounted and out the door in less than an hour and I did not have an appointment. The best thing is they didn't try to up sell! I've gone to Friendly Automotive in the past and have always had GREAT service! The prices are also AT LEAST $5.00 to $10.00 cheaper than Firestone and the staff is A LOT friendlier. I rely heavily on reviews - so when trying to determine a reliable, honest, affordable automotive repair business to resolve all of our auto needs, I noticed that Friendly Automotive seemed to have so many positive comments and a high star rating. That was a year ago, and my husband and I have used Friendly Automotive for both of our vehicles on a handful of occasions and our experiences have always been outstanding! We both agreed that we need to be sure and write a review for others who may be researching automotive repair shops and give Friendly Automotive 5 stars. I am so thankful we found a place we can go with complete trust! read more

The team at Friendly are indeed very friendly. Better than that their communicative and HONEST. And better still, they stand by their work and own up to mistakes. Took my dad's car in for brakes. The new rear drum brakes came from the parts supplier warped and they made adjustments. The adjustments weren't enough so I called them back a few days later and they got me in right away and fixed them quick. Everyone makes mistakes but how you deal with them says a lot about character and engenders trust. Nicely done and thanks. read more
