These guys earned my business…read more We originally went to another shop that confidently told us we needed brand-new brakes and rotors on all four wheels. JT Auto took one look and basically said, "Yeah...no." Turns out we only needed the front brakes and rotors. Saving customers money instead of inventing repairs? That's a refreshing change. Now, they weren't perfect--and that's okay. The first hiccup was with our appointment. We were told to come in the next day at 10:30 a.m. because we planned to wait while the work was done. Somewhere along the way, the wrong day got written down. It was a little frustrating, but they got us back in the same day at 1:30 p.m., so it wasn't the end of the world. The second issue was the bill. I was quoted $380 cash for the front brakes/rotor (or $580 if we did front and rear). Since only the front needed to be done, I sent my husband to pick up the car. Somehow he ended up paying $540. One phone call later, they checked it, admitted the mistake, and immediately refunded the difference. Honestly, I think it was just that, a mistake. If they were trying to nickel-and-dime us, they could have simply agreed with the first shop and sold us rear brakes we didn't even need. Instead, they were honest about what actually needed to be fixed, and when a billing error happened, they made it right without any arguments. As a Consumer it's okay for a buissnesss to Error but a true moral factor of a business when brought to attention. We sure will be using them again. Thank JT Auto! Nobody's perfect, but honesty and standing behind your work go a long way. I'd definitely use JT Auto again.

Potentially the trans problem could've been sold as a clutch problem or cable problem. The A/C problem had been taken to the local stealership and they wanted $2500 to fix the problem. Yesterday was the third time I have brought my fully functioning car to this place for routine…read moremaintenance and the third time a larger more expensive repair was required to get my car safely home. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I have an older vehicle so I don't know if that predisposes me to predatory practices, but moments after I recieved a call that my vehicle was ready to be picked up, i got another call saying my battery (which had tested 'low' according to their free diagnostic and would cost me an additional $700+ for them to replace) was now dead and the car wouldn't start. No apology or explanation that the reason the car didn't start is because the technician had drained the battery by leaving the dome light on; I know this because it came on when they jump started it with me in the driver's seat. It was the kind of dome/map light that you have to click on intentionally. What is going on here? And why does a $260 12v prius starter battery cost over $700 to have installed at this place? Highway robbery and no remorse. I was able to install a new battery, purchased at an O'Reilly auto parts store near my house, in minutes. Never again!!!

I went to three places where I experienced rudeness, incompetence, and estimates of several thousand dollars as well as having to be without my car for weeks. Finding Pusch Ridge was like being able to breathe deeply after you've been holding your breath a long time. They were courteous, knowledgable, and confident. They ended up doing the repair in one day and for a lower price than any of the other places had quoted me. Even if Pusch Ridge Auto isn't close to you, it's worth the drive. You can actually trust them and enjoy interacting with them! The AC works like a dream now, just in time for summer in Tucson :)

They charged $160 for a diagnostic which would be fine except I gave them the report from AutoZone who had run a diagnostic hours prior. And typically when you do the work, a garage will then credit that diagnostic fee to the work being done. They charged $604 total after I protested about the spark plug parts cost. Originally they wanted $200 for the spark plugs part. After protesting, they charged $176 for the Spark Plugs (parts) alone. $240 for the labor and $160 to diagnose something that was already diagnosed. When I told them the max fee for spark plus is $50, (I'm ok with companies marking-up costs but not at over 240%), they gave me $40 off. Still an astronomic cost for changing spark plugs, especially in Tucson. They did give me my car back in 1 day though, which I appreciated.
