I want to thank Doug and his team for getting my truck in on short notice for repairs. I'm headed out on a road trip and needed a few things repaired. Doug was able to get my vehicle in right away and running better than it has in years. Thank you so much for the excellent service. read more

Incredible service from Doug and the team! I am from out of town dropping my daughter off for college, and her Acura's alternator suddenly failed. Wildcat Automotive replaced it in just over an hour. Doug treated us like family, and his honesty and fair pricing gave me total peace of mind. They are completely trustworthy with no price gouging. Highly recommend! read more

I ranted and raved about this place because I trusted the owner Doug he was so kind. Well, apparently my being in hospice and sick affected my judgement because he did nothing but charge me for a serpentine belt that he did not replace nor need to because it had already been replaced new, (He didn't even inform me he was doing that. I found out after I paid and saw it on the bill, so there was no authorization ask for or received) and then put two clamps on a power steering PRESSURE hose that was bad instead of replacing hose and doing it right. For all that I was charged $184.79 for two $1.80 clamps that were nothing more than a worthless bandaid that lasted a few months max. He looked at a sick old lady on hospice and saw "sucker". Makes me wonder about the time I took it to him for a new charger. car had brand new battery that tow company checked and said was fine, but Doug insisted it was fried. (if fried, how all the lights light up still) I dont know. maybe that time was legit but the first time was nothing but a bogus scam. Now that it has been fixed right, and I have the part I have proof he scammed me. read more

This is the first mechanic who has ever given me an estimate and came in under his quote to replace a radiator, thermostat and water pump. I only take my car here for service. read more

My family and I have been going to Wildcat Automotive for years. They are honest and reasonable with their prices. They also take Zelle for payment, which is so convenient. Just remember that there is a daily limit of $2000 when using Zelle. He recently replaced our engine and fixed our A/C. Now he's also working on our other vehicle, fixing our brakes and the a/c in that one. Air Conditioning is a necessity for this Tucson heat! The owner, Doug, is a great guy! If you are lucky, you might hear the joke of the day!! read more

Great, honest mechanic. Offers good suggestions and is spot on with his assessment and repairs.

Great work. Fair pricing. Friendly transparent and communicative. I guess I need to write more for this to count as a review but I've got nothing else to say. Will come back next time I need work done. read more

Doug and his crew were very quick to assist me on a moments notice (to be clear though it was just the right time, because they even told me if it were a week or two earlier then they wouldn't have been able to get to me that day). They took what I had to say about the car and acted upon my observations. They fixed my sons car and it rubs smoothly now. The only bad thing which wasn't in their control was the delay in the part coming in twice. But three days total my son's vehicle was fixed and ready to go. I appreciate their speed and attentiveness. I recommend them! read more

Great service. Great quality. Don't expect an immediate fix and turn around because it's not a corporate mechanic shop. But they will get the job done for the right price. read more

Outstanding shop with great customer service, speed of repairs and pricing. I just had my Outback in because it was making an awful clunking noise from the front end and Doug diagnosed it and had it repaired in the same day for a great price! This is the only shop that my family takes its vehicles. read more

Dave is The Best!! No taking advantage of a woman! My AC was not cooling my car off fast enough, especially with the nasty weather we've been having. So I made an appointment and Doug fixed it for me at a wonderful price! I had called around and couldn't believe what others were asking. When I need work on my car again, I will not hesitate to give Doug a call. And you should too!! read more

Literally the worst auto repair shop in Tucson, Probably the worst in Arizona, extremely outdated , I wouldn't trust Doug with my Lawnmower Buyer beware Very Dishonest Doug left my vehicle out front with parts missing and refuses to fix it read more

Had a drop and the owner was rude and nasty while trying to inform him of how things work when I am dispatched a call would not recommend as he was also rude and nasty to my driver definitely not a way to handle business very poor values! read more

Twice Wildcat Automotive has sent me to a specialist to fix an item, and both times they have done an admirable job with correcting the problem. It's great to have mechanics that I can TRUST!!! read more

I'm not the type that ever writes reviews for places but I had to tell people about how great my experience was at Wildcat. I've been looking for a trustworthy, reasonably priced mechanic ever since I've owned a car. I finally did! This shop is fantastic! I took my 2006 mini cooper to them because I had gotten an outrageous estimate from another shop and I was told that Wildcat could do all the work I needed for half the price. Sure enough they gave me a great deal and the work was finished in only 2 days, not the full week that the other place told me it would take. I tell everyone to go to Wildcat now! read more

Doug and wildcat automotive provided one of my best experiences for auto repair. I called in on a Friday with the work that needed to be done (a labor intensive wheel bearing replacement on a 2010 Jeep Patriot). He not only gave me an outstanding quote, but was able to schedule and complete repairs on the very next Tuesday! Repairs are working great, no more howling from the wheels. He even checked in on me a day later to see how it's going. Great professionalism, great efficiency, and much appreciated honesty and concern. I will be back for any future auto issues. read more

I called for an opinion about the broken window motor on my Accord. As soon as I told him the problem, he knew exactly what was wrong with it. I took the door apart myself, so I could see where the problem was. It was fixed the next day, and now it works great. I'll definitely be back! read more

Wonderful. Low cost. Really honest! AND LOCAL. Came in for an oil change, for my Jeep Wrangler which has high mileage. I asked a lot of questions about synthetic oil and high mileage oils. Doug told me to use regular oil, because that's what I've been using from the start. I really appreciated his help. He didn't try to take advantage of me, I asked him to look around and see if anything else needed to be done, and he told me in a few months from now I'll need some work on my brakes. But everything is else was fine. Integrity goes a long way with me. I hate being ripped off, especially at places like jiffy lube. I don't care that this place isn't the fanciest, they're here to help people and do the best they can. And that's what'll keep me coming back to this place. read more

Someone on Reddit recommended Wildcat Automotive as a reputable & trustworthy repair shop. As a female college student on a budget, I really needed to find a mechanic who I trusted to be fair with his prices while also doing quality work on my car. I am very confident in the guys here to do just that! Doug is a friendly guy. He wants your repeat business and it shows in his work. I'll be driving my 2004 Honda across the country in a few months, and this is the only place in Tucson I trust to get my car ready for the trip! read more

As best as a auto care place can be! Doug, the owner is super nice and I pretty much got my bill cut in half compare to a dealership for better services. Awesome. read more

Most honest mechanic we've ever found in Tucson not to exaggerate but they are honest and prices very reasonable. Highly recommend!

The best automotive shop in town! Good prices with awesome service. I know I can trust them with all our vehicles.

Our car started acting up 200 miles before Tucson. Once we got to Tucson we called Doug at Wildcat Automotive and he told us even though he had a full day the next day to bring the car in and he could look at it. Doug called us the next day and he had figured out the problem and was able to fix it and have it to us by the next day. The cost was super reasonable and the turn around time was quick. Will definitely be back for all our car needs and will recommend this place! read more

Made space to address my Subaru's sudden clutch failure and had it ready in less than 24 hours. I also appreciated a thorough description of the problem that included an opportunity for me to inspect the broken part. Fair and accurate estimate with great communication. I picked this business because it was the shortest tow distance, and totally lucked out!! I will definitely go to Wildcat for future maintenance and repairs. read more

Doug is the best! Daughter a student grad from U of A car broke down had it towed there after hours through Doug. Repairs were fast and good. car made it to Illinois. Doug went out of his way to help us, and I highly recommend his shop to people in the area or traveling through. Good people deserve your business! read more

Called to schedule a used car inspection and spoke with Doug who was super nice and friendly. We worked out a time and everything went as scheduled on the day of the inspection. car overheated. dropped it off at 8 PM. Dropped the key in the mailbox. Got a call in the morning the next day, with an entirely reasonable estimate and an estimated time it would be ready - the next morning. it was fixed. I paid. The nice man with the sparkly blue eyes have the car heating up for me! They did a good job. i drove off. But that's not why i'm writing this review. i'm writing cause the owner *TEXTED ME THE NEXT DAY TO CHECK IN* and see how the car was doing. i mean, lordy. such AMAZING work & service. heart eyes. read more

I looked on Yelp to locate a good rated automobile repair place. I noticed all of the 5 star rating that Wildcat Auto has. I took my car there to have my battery and alternator checked. I was greeted by Doug the owner who addressed my concerns and what additional service I wanted. My alternator was good but my battery needed replacing. I also had an oil change, filter replaced and tire rotation. My car starts and runs smoothly now. The pricing was excellent and fair. Wildcat deserves 10 stars, Honest, excellent service and friendly . This is the place to go for your auto needs. read more

Wildcat is the one and only place I will ever take my vehicles. It's such a blessing to find an honest mechanic and after years of trying other shops in Tucson I finally found a place I can trust. Their pricing is always fair plus they're super knowledgeable. Recommended 100%! read more

I took my truck in to get the A/C recharged after changing the high and low pressure hoses myself. I was quoted $39.99 for the service plus $15 a pound for refrigerant, so I was figuring on $100 total. Dropped the truck off at 7am and came back after work to pick it up. Total cost was $98 and that included the mechanic having to fix me mixing up two bolts on the hoses causing the system not to seal and be vacuumed down. I feel like Wildcat Automotive is an honest no BS mechanic. If you're looking for a good mechanic I highly recommend this place. read more

I was lucky enough to be gifted an oil change from Wildcat from a friend, and didnt go in with much expectation other than getting the basics. These guys really do seem to be the rare, honest and experienced mechanics that you hope youll find when your car springs a leak. They went above and beyond, were quick and very helpful. Didnt try to talk me into a bunch of extra crap, and all this was for an oil change that they had donated to a local charity, which my friend won and gave to me so it was all out of their pocket. Ive gone back with issues since then and will be dropping my car off again today for a long list of probs. Though its never a pleasure to deal with auto bills, these guys are top notch and I will recommend them until they prove otherwise. They are easy to deal with, courteous and though they may not be the cheapest, they take good care of your car and do the work right. So do yourself a favor, when your car is ailing, give these gents a call and get it rolling proper. read more

Went here for an oil change. Staff was friendly and service was good. Pricing seemed high. I have a 350F that holds 16 qrt of oil. was quoted $90 over phone ended up being $120. Ford dealer charges me $100. No AC in waiting room. In AZ that is worth 1 star. read more

I did a lot of research regarding independent automotive repair garages in Tucson for my niece, a U of A student who drives a turd of a VW Jetta. Doug was so kind and helpful to me over the phone that I booked an appointment for later in that day for her car. Doug and Brett immediately diagnosed the problem(s), ordered the part, call me with what I thought to be a very fair estimate, gave us an acceptable timeframe, and fixed her up! Doug spent a lot of time speaking to my young niece in a very "fatherly" and respectful way about upkeep and maintenance of her car, and how to keep it in shape and running. She called me today saying her car was "smoking", and I immediately said "Call Doug at Wildcat Auto"! He helped her get a tow to his shop, and, though it was already Friday afternoon, he was able to once again diagnose the problem, get the part to the store, and get her up and running again! I think Brett even stayed past closing to test-drive her car and make sure it was working properly. Thank you Doug, Brett and Claf for being the kind of auto shop that we women can only hope for. You more than make up for all of the horrible, disrespectful and dishonest mechanics to whom we have become accustomed. You make us feel empowered, treat us with sincerity and respect, and we can only sing your praises to all of our friends and tell them "Go to Wildcat Automotive"! Thank you and HIGHEST FIVE STAR RATING TO WILDCAT AUTOMOTIVE!!!! read more

Pros: - They had fair pricing for parts and maintenance. (even though it was wrong parts) - Was quickly serviced. (2 days is fast, but they told me one for some reason and changed their mind when they got annoyed when I asked about pricing.) Cons: -Poor customer service. -Did not diagnose problem and estimate cost. -Installed before consent from consumer. -They did not repair the problems. -They made a fake 5 star review of my vehicle(The only one on lot that day) on surecritic on same day I picked up my vehicle. -Felt they took advantage of me and my bank account. -Automatically signs you up for emails from different sites of theirs so when you unsubscribe another email pops up days later asking how great they were, so here's my review: I brought my vehicle in to fix my air conditioning problem a while back and asked them if they could give me an oil change too, while they figure out whats wrong with it. The person at the desk said they would contact me in a few hours and diagnose the problem for me, letting him know that I would need to know the prices before since I'm on a poor college student budget. I went to classes and 8 hours later I received no call. I called them and they told me that they were fixing it already and it took them a while to find the correct part for sale but they found it and were installing it already. Also, that it would be done by the end of the day to pick up. I politely told them that I really needed to know the price of what they were installing. So they played phone tag with me for the next 2 hours until I found out that it was going to cost me around $450.00, and extra for the oil change. This is way over my budget but the guy angrily wanted me to hurry up and tell him if I wanted them to throw my old part back in. Since the guy seemed so upset about it, I didn't trust him with putting my old stuff back in. I was afraid it would mess up my car and make it worse than before. So I told him to do it anyway, but not the oil change because I really needed to cut corners. He said okay, but it was going to suddenly not be done that day even though it's one less task to do. They called me at noon the next day and said it was ready, but bad news was they needed another part to fix it so it was going to be $50.00 more and they had already installed it. Taking advantage of the fact that I wasn't going to risk them chucking my old stuff back in. I wanted my car out of there. So I paid my fees and got my car out of there before they charged me for something else. My car air conditioning worked for about 1 day, so I just have a Freon leak, so they didn't even fix what I wanted them to fix. I will never go back even if they tell me they can repair it for free. read more
