I've taken my car in twice before, once to fix my oxygen sensor and again to fix a power steering issue, and both times I've felt pretty good about my car's health. I still feel good about my car's health, but it does make me uncomfortable that every time I stop in, they really push to get something else fixed, too. I understand my car isn't in the greatest condition (it certainly isn't new), but I stopped in for an oil change most recently and was encouraged to flush every other liquid in my car, including things they had already done just a couple months before. Although I appreciate them being proactive about my car's health, my most recent experience made me feel like my lack of knowledge was being taken advantage of--which is often the fear (and the genuine cases of) for plenty of women who take their cars in for maintenance. After doing some research post-maintenance, ultimately I've found that what they upsold to me (flushing power steering fluid) are completely unnecessary expenses. I'd like to trust their expertise, especially because people within my circle do, but this particular experience didn't sit well with me and I just feel like a dummy for agreeing to anything. If you're a woman with a car, I guess we're still in an era where your ignorance is taken advantage of.

These guys earned my business…read more We originally went to another shop that confidently told us we needed brand-new brakes and rotors on all four wheels. JT Auto took one look and basically said, "Yeah...no." Turns out we only needed the front brakes and rotors. Saving customers money instead of inventing repairs? That's a refreshing change. Now, they weren't perfect--and that's okay. The first hiccup was with our appointment. We were told to come in the next day at 10:30 a.m. because we planned to wait while the work was done. Somewhere along the way, the wrong day got written down. It was a little frustrating, but they got us back in the same day at 1:30 p.m., so it wasn't the end of the world. The second issue was the bill. I was quoted $380 cash for the front brakes/rotor (or $580 if we did front and rear). Since only the front needed to be done, I sent my husband to pick up the car. Somehow he ended up paying $540. One phone call later, they checked it, admitted the mistake, and immediately refunded the difference. Honestly, I think it was just that, a mistake. If they were trying to nickel-and-dime us, they could have simply agreed with the first shop and sold us rear brakes we didn't even need. Instead, they were honest about what actually needed to be fixed, and when a billing error happened, they made it right without any arguments. As a Consumer it's okay for a buissnesss to Error but a true moral factor of a business when brought to attention. We sure will be using them again. Thank JT Auto! Nobody's perfect, but honesty and standing behind your work go a long way. I'd definitely use JT Auto again.

Wasn't my first choice to come here but they offer online scheduling, and having only one day off…read moreeach week it was a must to get in as early as possible on a specific day. My car was making a strange sound so I brought it in for diagnostics. Brought it in early AM but didn't receive a call back until an hour before close, what was the point of the appointment? They try and tell me I need several thousand $$ of repairs yet when asked what specifically is wrong with those parts, they could only say "there's debris" and "they're bad, it's bad". Okay.. so did you clear the debris? Are the parts worn down from use? Age? Are they cracked or damaged? "It's bad" is not an appropriate diagnostic. Do you say that to your male customers? I decide to take my car elsewhere. Mind you, they quoted $175 for the diagnostic but I paid $192 because why would they include tax in the quote!!? I can't imagine what my multi-thousand repair quote would have increased to with tax. That is shady. Fast forward, my trusted shop got me in after the weekend. They looked at everything AAA said was "bad" and completely disagreed. They said none of those parts are showing signs of wear or damage to the point of needing replacement and it wouldn't be recommended and it would be a waste of my money! Well yeah, my car is only a few years old so I also doubted this. And the sound? It was from a ROCK stuck between my back plate and rotor. My shop diagnosed and dislodged for $35. So AAA SAW debris and didn't even bother to clean it off, then claim I needed all these BS repairs and none of that was true. Not quoting an accurate price to be blindsided at the checkout is shady and I'm SO glad I didn't agree to any of their already over-priced "repairs". I will never be back.
