I've been coming here for many years to get my Honda Civic's oil changes done, catalytic converter replaced, 12-volt battery replaced, tires rotated, AC system fixed, shock absorbers replaced, and many other services done. They charge reasonable prices for a variety of car services, especially when compared to the Poway Honda dealership and other auto repair shops in Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain, and Rancho Peñasquitos. My roommate finally started coming to Midas a couple months ago to get her Toyota serviced after months and years of me showing her and explaining to her how my Honda always performs well without any issues after being serviced at Midas. She's been thrilled with the quality of service on her Toyota, especially now that she's saving significantly compared to what she used to pay at the Poway Toyota dealership. I don't know who the owner is. I mean no disrespect to the owner, but to me, Fadi has been the face of Midas for many years, always providing great customer service and treating me like family. Whenever I wait at the lobby at Midas, I always see Fadi treating his customers with warmth and respect--as family members. Victor also provides great customer service with warmth and respect. Best Place For Car Problems Period. I come here for Tires/Tire Rotation/Oil Change the whole nine yards. BUT the service provided is untouchable. I called them while I was on the freeway, my car was well over the point of overheating. Victor was amazing giving me tricks to ultimately make my truck not explode on the freeway and I was able to safely make it to Midas. Fadi and Victor make you feel like family. Midas Poway is my go to auto repair shop for my 2009 Acura MDX. Their prices are fare and the customer service is excellent. There are times when I think I need something but am told it's not necessary right then. I can't believe that I've found a shop that I actually trust. Most other shops I've patronized would never let me walk out with just an oil change without "up selling" me on something..new air filter, etc. The manager is friendly and provides excellent customer service. I thought when this new team took over from the last owners, I'd be looking for a new place but I'll say they have exceeded my expectations and actually do a better job. Rear brake pads and rotors were replaced. Soon after squeaking and jingling sounds were coming from the rear. Only occasionally, but worsened over time. So, I returned the car to find out why. They said it was the front brakes. When I had the back brakes done, I was told the front brakes were fine. Okay, from 04/05 to 05/10 the front brakes went bad? Anyways, front pads replaced, rotors machines, but sounds continued. I took the car back on 05/17, this time I had Victor go on the test drive with me. He told me to turn back around because he said he could not hear the sounds. When he did hear the sounds, he blamed it on a nearby car but when I pulled into the parking lot near Midas, I pointed out the sound stopped and when I drove a bit the sounds began, and then when I braked the sounds stopped. Victor then admitted the sounds were coming from my car. After properly checking the brakes, they realized that the back rotors they replaced 04/05, needed to be replaced. Basically, I paid $279 for a front brake job that was not the culprit. The free future oil change gifted to me by Victor means nothing. I will never bring my car back to Midas ADDING: One week after Midas replaced my back rotor and after taking about $800 from me for unnecessary front brake job, my back wheel is squeaking again as I am driving down the road. I've waited a while to see if the squeaking would stop, but it has not. It is not a settling in of new parts of any sort. Clearly has nothing to do with my front brakes as Midas said it did. My back brakes never made a noise until Midas worked on them. Do not take your car to Midas. read more

Went back to get an oil change and have them look at my tire balance and alignment. Ever since I got new tires here it started shaking when I braked at a higher speed. The guy said it is 100% my brakes, I just got my brakes done 2 years ago and the fact it didn't do this before the new tires, one could come to the conclusion it's not the brakes but something went wrong with the tire set up. I stood there and my intelligence was questioned for 10 minutes. I finally, after him saying it is 100% my brakes a 100 times said I would take my business elsewhere. I've always got my tires from Costco and I will never not go to Costco after this. Never had a problem before. I'll give you back the tires and get the Costco one and 100% believe it would be a non issue then. I'm serious. Give me my money back and you can have these tires. read more
